    It’s kinda relieving to see even the grey beards struggling with the korlok lol. By far my least favorite random encounter in the game!

      You could tell the team was worried seeing it next to the caretaker. Good use it you can stop the sprouts from shooting with fire and elec dot so it can be trivialised

      I had no idea DoT stuns them! Good to know, Ty!

    FSD 22331 is my preferred build; the insane amount of ammo combined with the heat radiance allows for a very efficient "tap-fire ignition" style that when used right can be even more ammo efficient that a well built gunner. Heat radiance gives you nigh immunity to Swarmers, Naedocytes, and Shredders, being able to kill them instantly. Heat radiance also allows for faster ignitions on turrets (and everything else) within tight quarters, being able to ignite a turret with either 2 ammo and a heat radiance proc or 6 ammo (accounting for the natural cooling rate of 25/s). I have also found a viable alternative to the PP EPC when using 22331 FSD; 32213 DR wave cooker, used in combination with the tap-fire ignitions from FSD you can quickly burn down just about anything.
    I'd also recommend using the Weapon Range Indicator mod when running max range FSD, as it is deceptively long and is very easy to underestimate.

      That's a very solid build too, switching to more ammo and heat radiance makes more sense now that T5B doesn't proc vs those small enemies. Then you don't need the extra flow rate is you're heating things up close.
      I really like EPC I'll have to try it with that cooker secondary though

      @@DarthSyphilis PP is definitely the stronger option in general, but DR on the cooker allows you to set up some very efficient kill zones if you can funnel everything into a beam width or two and chaining temp-shocks back and forth; it's also quite good with a full duration sticky fuel setup (X322X) where you just let them walk through the fire and zap them as they ignite.

    This really is the best build for Industrial Sabotage, I would just change to the T5A in CRISP due to the fact that it is easier and faster to blow up the Patrol Bots, and I would use the HE Grenade instead of the axes, in general the axes are better , but against the janitor the grenade used at the right time can damage the shields or weak points of the bomb spot, which is above the boss.

    • @DarthSyphilis
      @DarthSyphilis  6 дней назад +2

      Yes I think that's fair. We got used to having T5B when it worked on small enemies but now it doesn't after the last update.
      The axes are very good for melee dmg vs bots though, and I'll just use EPC charged shots on the caretaker rather than grenades (but the nades still work well)

    It's not just fire that stops korlok sprouts from firing, I've noticed that corrosive sludge does the same thing. I think it's any damage-over-time in general that does the job.

    • @DarthSyphilis
      @DarthSyphilis  5 дней назад

      Yep that's correct. Sludge/elec/ fire all do, because the dmg tick is low enough to stun lock them into not firing

    hmmm what's the tradeoff between this and 22322
    this build's sticky flame sucks, makes it harder to hold the bugs during hacking

      When somebody recommended Fuel Stream Diffuser to me, I took the advice of the comment under it and used Lighter Tanks instead, freeing up tier 4 for sticky flames. The clean builds are my favourite flamer builds nowadays.

    • @DarthSyphilis

      You do heat things slightly faster with more flow rate, but most of the heat power comes from the T2. You can swap in ammo but I found I was using more ammo to heat things anyway.
      As long as there's flying bots spawning in that hacking stage you don't get the benefit of sticky. The secondary can be good for slowdown too

    • @p_serdiuk
      @p_serdiuk 5 дней назад

      @@DarthSyphilis Yeah, I'm thinking about the tradeoff between heating things faster with +1.8/s flow rate to the base 4.8/s, and more than doubling the sticky flame duration from 2s to 5s, given that the ammo upgrades are the same.
      I guess my build is better at Haz 5 because there could be events and such that spawn bugs, while they are mostly ignored on modded difficulties.
      Trading sticky slowdown for heat on T2 is painful, but, of course it's worth it here.

    • @p_serdiuk

      @@DarthSyphilis Also yeah my correct build is 22321, I also use Heat Radiance as in other comments.

      @@DarthSyphilis Finally I find it hard to choose between FSD and ST, ST is currently bugged, but still, it can clear off an entire field of turrets or a cloud of bots or one-shot a Nemesis, while not taking the fuel flow penalty.
      Range vs. on demand massive AOE I guess.
