I used to listen to The Archers, and the number of plot points that hinged on someone needing to tell someone something, but not making sure it was the FIRST thing they said next time they saw them made my head explode. A character would let someone rattle on about some inconsequential thing and then leave, without saying 'shut up a minute, I need to tell you X'. Then there'd be an easily averted disaster, all because no one said 'Wait, you have to know this!'
Yorkshire Gold is my favorite. Gifted it while I was on a semester abroad in Scotland from the States in college (university). Wish I knew what the "typical" black tea was in the UK. Congratulations on 100 episodes!
We had about 4 of 5 inches (around 10 cm.) of snow last week and I live in Southern Ontario, Canada. It was really common for my son to have to wear his snow suit under his Halloween costume because the snow was knee deep and coming down hard, when he was trick or treating. But then again, we had one year when the flowers were blooming and I was painting the window frames the day before Christmas and it was about 15°Celsius. But then we had a snow storm overnight, just in time for Christmas.
Hi Hannah I wish I could discuss tea, but I loathe it! We grew up on tea, and we all loved it - lots of problems were solved sipping our cups o’ tea! Then one day I made a cup (looking forward to that first slurp) and for no bloody reason the taste made me feel sick (a lump in my throat, in fact!) I could not drink it again (tried once and nearly threw up!) Anyway, as always, loved your podcast today xx
I live in a low desert near the Mexican border and we very rarely get snow or freezing temps. When we do most people here use pool noodles to wrap their exterior pipes and leave a sink in the home on a slow drip overnight to prevent them from freezing. For plants some neighbors wrap Christmas lights around their plants and cover with sheets to create and trap heat for them. Hope you all make it through the cold days safely and without expensive home repairs.
My advent finally arrived this week 🎉🎉🎉. I'm thankful that you packed with a bag in a bag (😂) as the outer bag was ripped open on one corner but the inner bag was still perfect! Sounds to me like you are doing great on timing of all the things 😉😀 We had snow 4 days in a row a couple of weeks ago...still very snowy for Halloween which is actually awesome, but it's warmed up and been melting for a few days now.
Woohoo! 100! Congratulations, Hannah! You may have just influenced me to buy some Yorkshire Tea Biscuit Brew LOL After having year 3 of the Bird & Blend advent because of you, why not? For patterns, I think your fingering plus fluff should be enough for a vest/slipover, if you like those. Would also work well over dresses. I haven't even opened the brown paper mailers around my weekly and daily advents from you, because I'm trying hard to not open or even peek. December 1 can't come quick enough.

I’m working on the Scrappy Stripe Sweater sample for Jess using her advent from this year! It’s a great pattern. In a week Ive managed to get through most of the body and part of a sleeve 😂 stripes are so fast! Lovely video!
