    Solid info Tito, one request though.. could you add timestamps in the description which covers the different parts of the topic so that users who are familiar with the introduction-level information about how anamorphics works can jump right the information that's relevant for them? Nonetheless, thanks for all the effort and information you've shared with us ^^

    Help please: For some reason I'm still getting black bars on the side only when I export the footage. I change export settings (Aspect:) to "Square Pixels (1.0)" I wonder what I'm doing wrong? I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 by the way. Thanks

    Hi Tito, I just tested my A7S2 with the atlas orion 40mm, some test shots in UHD, but even I follow your tutorial here, it should be 3840(x2 = 7680) x 2160 and then on x scale 200%, the picture I got is not right, if you can please help will be super appreciated man!!! thank you

      or should I be choosing 1920 (x2 3840) x 1080 even I was shooting in UHD which should be 3840 x 2160? the picture seems more correct in that way, but can I ask how do you get the super wide scope(ruclips.net/video/4X7EV-AB2Cw/видео.html) , or is this one not the prefer way in general to present the work? This is literally my first time trying anamorphic, I'm trying to decide if I want to shoot my next project with anamorphic lens.

      @@AnamorphicOnABudget Tha nk you so much for your quick response man, but so do you mean it doesn't matter what resolution I shot at, full hd or Uhd, its the end product per aspect ratio is the thing I should be considering. Also, I'm very sorry if its ok to ask you to explain a bit more about cropping the side of my timeline? I just tried 2.4:1, it works!!!!!
      And I'm also wondering if its the A7S2 sensor, like the rolling shutter problem, I was testing it today with the helix pro 1 axis on a serene day rig, and the footages I got basically was having bumps almost all the time, which is unusable.... I always go handheld with my helix pro 1 axis and I never have this issue before, this seems very complicated.

      @@AnamorphicOnABudget Thanks a lot man, that's already a big help, I'm super tempted to rent this lens for my upcoming project, however, beside the bouncing and rolling shutter issues, I'm using my ninja V for de-squeezing and monitoring, but even in bright situation I can't see my focus, and when I check my test footages, they're basically not in focus most of the time, how do you de-squeeze the footages while you can still see it clear enough? with ninja V, the only thing I can do is to zoom in to check focus, but I can't do that all the time when I change focus, its basically impossible, I was using A7S2 on letus helix pro 1 axis gimbal with easy rig, I really want to do it, but thinking about if the footages turn out to be not in focus, thats too risky....wondering if you have any good monitoring suggestions?

    How do you export it to look streched out like that though? I was never able to do that. Looks cool while in the program but once you export it it's back to squished shitty looking render. I don't get the point of anamorphic. Like it looks good while you work.

    I noticed that when I import anamorphic videos to Adobe premiere, they show correctly with perfect size, but when exporting they have the black borders all around. Is this normal?

    The so called 1.33 is actually 4:3 rounded down to two decimal points. Instead of multiplying 1920 by 1.33 and getting the incorrect 1553, you need to multiply 1920 by 4 and divide the result by 3 to get the correct 2560.

    • @RustyTube
      @RustyTube 4 года назад

      @@AnamorphicOnABudget Yes, 2553. Sorry about that.

    Great Video Tito, thanks for all the help, I do have a question, I did everything on Premiere and it did transformed the video or de squeezed it, however it didn't have the 2:35 black bars at bottom nor top, so I'm wondering if i have to scale it down or something of the sorts... could you explain? thanks in advance!

    Hello Tito,
    Could you explain how to set FCPX desqueeze for video shot on a GH4 using the ISCO 2x in 4:3 photo mode?

    • @JustinBishop
      @JustinBishop 7 лет назад

      Wow, that was easy. I was missing the step where I had to input my vertical shooting resolution when I was inputing project dimensions. I was doubling the width like you said, but I was leaving the vertical at 1080 lol. Now, I need to figure out how to do this on a smaller timeline. My project is 6656x2498. Can I scale this whole project back to 1080p size files if I dont want to be exporting 3gb 5k files for a 20 second clip?
      Also, using 4:3, the "Anamorphic override" option in the clips info inspector set to "widescreen" seems to desqueeze the footage without grabbing sliders.

    Love the video, question for you. In final cut when you were setting the output in custom you were using 1920 as your shot size. If your shooting 4k and have a 2x lens would the custom setting be 6656. That's what I did. The footage looks great on the timeline, when I exported it I ended up with a very small video, what did I do wrong. I checked the dimensions and it reads 6656 nx 1080. Would like some input, thanks jerry

      Hi Tito, your right about the last no. being off. I am shooting with the GH5, I have the setting to Anamorphic(4:3) and the setting within that is 4k 3328 x 2496. I am testing a Singer 16F 2X. Should then my output setting be 6656 X 2496. Within FCP I made the scale X 200 %. Does all this sound right.

    • @maxval001
      @maxval001 6 лет назад

      Actually, because I shot at 4k I would like to output at 1920x1080 size, so would the output setting be 3840X1080.
