WNBA should be categorized as a martial arts sport. The WNBA attitude toward the the opposition is "fuck you". The next move will be to issue brass knuckles and clubs to players. If they are going to encourage violence by not calling fouls, then they should just stop the clock and let them beat the shit out of each other. This will attract the kind of players to the WNBA that can really get the "job" done.

I am so disgusted, I believe the fever have played four games, and I have not seen one single one, other than just highlights, here in Los Angeles. I believe they’re doing a terrible job marketing her games, I actually had to go online and get tickets for her game here against our LA Sparks, I saw a commercial it would always talk about her games coming up three or four days later, had no idea she was Wednesday night,(last night)
I’m sure I can’t be the only one , But yet here on the Laker channel, I’ve seen every Sparks game, and they would replay the entire game throughout the days, and I’ve seen the Las Vegas aces I’ve seen several other teams complete game on TV here in Los Angeles, but not one Caitlin Clark game, I’m sure they’re playing on TV but they’re not marketing the game the day before or the day that its being played, and I have Spectrum TV, a complete full entertainment system, and in my sports room, I have four TVs, All hooked up either to spectrum or to my computer, which also pulls in Spectrum, or any streaming app, I’m totally disgusted with this lack of marketing they’re doing here in Los Angeles, there might be others here that are getting the heads up on it,
I did receive an announcement on my phone tonite immediately after the game was over , I thought it was about some game she played days ago,
I haven’t missed one NBA game that’s been televised here in the playoffs , or any dodger games, but zero CC games
Well, I’m through venting , and the WNBA season is really short, and I have yet to see one of her games, but I won’t miss her game here when she plays the Sparks live in in person In Los Angeles.

@@deebrown9263 that's not true, there are many people like even me who is interested in basketball for many years and I never give a shit about WNBA until last year when I watched a bit and stopped immediately. I'm from Europe, I dont need to support any NBA or WNBA team. I just watch and enjoy, cheering for the team I find attractive to watch, tactically smart, fighting on both ends of the court. What drove me to watch it? NCAA! Yes, I like how these young players fight and compete there, playing more defense than NBA these days but after NCAA finals was disappointed with the WNBA. This year I came back again and stayed because of Caitlin Clark, also because of Cameron Brink, Angel Reese, Rickea Jackson etc. there's a new wave that can make this league watchable really and they all should care about these diamonds, especially Caitlin. It doesn't matter who she brought to watch these games. What matter is the numbers cause the numbers makes money, the thing that was primarirly lacking in WNBA. Quality is almost always over numbers but in terms of revenue, yeah, it's the numbers. We cannot deny it. So she's more than just a talented rookie or even a generational talent, she is the Magic-Bird effect for the WNBA, internationally she's the Michael Jordan and the Bulls effect. That's huge.

If this were sports from the 80s, I'd expect the teams to go their different directions after a game is over with the only handshakes happening after the final game of the season or an elimination game in the playoffs. That's the culture in hockey to this day, and even in baseball, you don't shake hands with the opposing team after any game.
The culture in basketball has been different for a while, with handshakes and hugs after every game, including the regular season. This looks like a snub to Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, which if it truly was, then it's uncalled for. I'm waiting for Caitlin to acclimatize to the professional game and when she breaks out, I think she could be the next Jordan in terms of skill and results in her league, as well as a cultural icon for this generation's basketball fans.
Time will tell... I hope I'll be right.

From 0:33-0:39 you can see her looking at the other team. She even looked back a couple seconds later. She's a rookie, I don't know if anybody has explained the etiquette to her (or the millions of new W fans, myself included). In the NCAAW, they always line up and shake hands after the game. I'm not sure what the protocol for the W is, should the losing team go over to the winning team to shake hands? Should the winning team make the first step? The Seattle coach at least made an effort.
