What really impresses me about Clark is her mental toughness as a Rookie. Knowing that every night all eyes are on you and some cheering for you to fail. She just puts her head down and hoops. None of the outside noise effects her. Being a rookie and already pretty much being the face of the WNBA is a lot of pressure. She was built for this and I look forward for whats to come.

true words. She could be pitty about it but decides to demolish them on the court. CC, Ionescu, Cam Brink and next year Paige Bueckers will be the new stars of the league

Absolutely true about the mental toughness. It's what makes great players if they have the skills, and it seems she does.
What else I like about her is her court sense, she always seems a step ahead of her opponents, and her court vision, she sees her teammates, knows where they are, and positions herself to makes plays happen with her deft passing.

It's crazy how locked in she is. Even going the other way she could let all this get to her ego and try to be the main celebrity but I don't even think she's really active like that on social media. CC is the real deal. Clark needed that down time. The older US Olympic players are sure going to feel those extra, high stress games and practices. The rookies all needed the rest.
Diana Taurasi needs not try and compare herself to any group or single players that has come after her. Taurasi’s resume is packed with accolades and accomplishments. Her status as one of, if not THE, best players is in tact. She’s been in the “W” for a long time. Diana has been the standard Clark has enjoyed watching and held as a bit of a hero.
Taurasi is tough on opponents but, more so, on opposing superstar rookies. It’s like a right of passage for Taurasi to “hate” ( loosely used term ) on you.
Diana knows, as I’m sure they all know, that NOW is the “First Coming” of Caitlin Clark. Clark is original, and better than anything that’s come before her. And like Taurasi, Clark is doing it as a six foot guard.
The CC effect is making money for herself, her fellow players in the “W” but more importantly more money for the WNBA as a league. Ticket sales are up, but more importantly, TV viewership is up and these players and teams are now on commercials, in social media, on billboards making money with endorsements at a level many have never seen.
The 2024 rookie class might be one of the best rookie classes the “W” has seen in a long time. And this is after Cameron Brink suffered a devastating, season ending knee injury. The Fever has another outstanding rookie in Aliyah Boston from South Carolina. And next year’s rookie class should be fantastic as well with Paige Bueckers, of UConn, entering the draft.
The WNBA is in a great place right now. The only issue is the great place is also a fragile place. If the WNBA doesn’t seize on the momentum Clark, and the rest of the league, has stirred up, the League will ultimately fail. Market the hell out of this. Let the rivalries develop. Embrace the differences as well as the similarities in the personalities as well as the age differences. Legends vs up and comers.
My wife and I have been watching the WNBA since the beginning. My all time favorite WNBA player is Chamique Holdsclaw out of Tennessee. And I’m highly aware of all the talent that came before Holdsclaw. Cooper, Swoopes Leslie and so many others. What a great League. And, really, it always has been.
I’m loving Caitlin Clark and all that goes along with Clark’s talent and popularity.
    I’m now done babbling.

Someone argued with me when I said that that the WNBA should have put Clark into the US Women's team for Paris and she said that she's a rookie, it wouldn't be fair to the other players, and that the other players are good too and don't need her. Meanwhile, Clark is trashing them once they get back and everyone on every platform agrees with me now lol.
In contrast, Steph Curry looked like a GOD in front of the world with his shooting. We could have been the Splash Nation but nahhhh

She definitely does not look like a rookie out there. She needed that break, just like all the rookies did. They all came off a 25-30+ NCAA season, then a few weeks later started the WNBA season. In the long run, it may be better for CC and the Fever that she didn't play in the Olympics, even though sh e should have been picked.

She's an elite scorer, but my gosh, she's an amazing passer. If you truly love the game, it's hard to root against her, which, is why I'm really surprised by all the hate she gets, especially from other players looking at you, Diana Taursai)...
