I've always wanted to learn more about adding drawer runners and kickers to a traditional table - something I haven't tried yet. And your next project - I'll be interested in hearing how you handle racking without a back panel - another thing I struggle with. Thanks for the update.

    • @treebangham

Yes, with the wall shelf I will need to address racking. We'll see.

Always enjoyable. “Something about a twist!” Well you sure fixed that!
Looking forward to the next build.

Nice tables! Kreg recommended pocket screws to attach a table top. I called them and asked the expansion question. They said there is a little play around the screw that accounts for it. They recommended backing off the screw a half turn, and if I was still concerned to drill out the narrow hole a little to increase the free area around the screw.

Hi Ron. Yes, the pocket screws work fine for smaller tables and I didn’t need the Z-clips for my hall table. For larger tables though, I would definitely use a method that allows for greater expansion. Thanks for the note.

Nice to see you back on RUclips, looking forward to the next video series.
BTW ! I’m working on a woodworking project that I’m pretty sure you’ll never encounter…I’m dressing the sticks for the Morris dancing side I’m a member of (Wreckers Border Morris - we have a RUclips channel), I’m not a dancer, but a musician. They are 2 year old coppiced hazel sticks.
    Cheers, Mike in the UK.

@@treebangham It sure is. Most of the things I've done in the workshop lately has had parts totally new to me. That's so much fun! I just wish I had some bigger handsaws! I'm doing almost everything with a tenon saw or my cheap Japanese saws.
