  • James Robbins is joined by local Brand Ambassador and bait guru, Andy Dixon for a session on the tidal River Trent. They're fishing the Laughterton stretch of the river run by Lincoln and District Angling Association. James and Andy choose to fish different tactics, covering all bases. With Andy using feeder fishing tactics for bigger fish, while James opts to use the float, targeting silverfish. The video is full of tips and tactics to help you get the most from fishing in tidal areas of rivers...as well as plenty of fishing action you'd expect from a Cadence Fishing TV Episode.

Another great video lads, well done Andy, that wasn’t a great day for float fishing by the looks of it but credit for sticking at it James 👍
And as per usual the video footage and edit is first class!

Was a pleasure to meet you James on the tidal riverfest last week. Saw you just missed out in qualifying, shame and appreciate the lesson. Hope the spare bait caught you a few on the next match. Regards Andy{next peg} down

I'm a little confused by James' rod, he says 18ft CR10 match #2 , but I can't find any longer than 16 ft on the Cadence website. Is this just a prototype? Aha, a bit later James says that they're coming out in October!

Paul Tomlin Hi Paul, yes the 18ft #2 used in the video was a finished prototype. We expect stock to arrive at the end of October. Cheers James

Is this on day ticket. It seems most of the trent belongs to different clubs with no day ticket and that then costs a fortune if you want to try different venues

Scunthorpe, Barnsley, Worksop books all have good stretch's of the Trent and cost about £45 or £55 a year each. You are better with a club book than day ticket waters, 6, 8 or 10 quid a day, no thanks 👍

When fishing venues such as this, whatever happened to standing by your rod instead of sitting on your arse for the session. You wont get your box soaked for a start. Nice vid tho.

Depth down the margin or stinking silt might be the reasons...
