i hope this blows up in the fishing community on here, this was dope.
Thanks, I appreciate your support!
It definitely will
That’s what I’m saying broskie
@@afriend1342 Here's hoping!
Agreed.
This is hands down the most badass lure I've ever looked at!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Wow, thanks!
It’s sweet! I’m not sure how well it would hold up to an actual shark though, I’ve seen what they do to real seals.
I think the two halves would hold together for quite a while, but it would start to look rough pretty fast. Maybe we'll get to see someday. Thanks for watching!
@@zimmtex doubt you will get to see unfortunately , i cant ever see them coming off the protected species list. cool lure though
@@comeatmebro3229 Maybe not as a bait but this could still be used as a lure as he said in the video. No catching great whites but I could see (like he said in the video) luring great whites for filming or research purposes
@@AgeFuture i guess yeah but at the same time they already have some pretty effective lures for that already.
seal lures are pretty much only used for breaches as well and breachers aren't actually common GW behaviors, its location specific.
also where im from we dont use the term bait for lures so i do get them mixed up when watching American video's
@@comeatmebro3229 I know, I've caught myself saying bait interchaebly. To me, bait means something live, natural or edible. I wonder if we picked that up because of lures like 'crankbait' and 'swim bait'.
This is a true work of art. As much as I want to see a great white chomp this, I know it would most likely destroy it. Nice work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Everyone share this with everyone you know.
This man should be famous for the work he puts in.
Unbelievable man, subbed instantly
Thank you very much for your support! Welcome to the channel, glad to have you here!
I applaud your patience on the soldering for the fur
Thank you!
This is pure gold! Fantastic work and incredible attention to detail.
Awesome, thank you!
Marling Baits has some competition! Beautifully done!
Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate your support!
That was awesome. I was glued to the screen like the through chain. ...Now Lets see a shark👍👍👍👍
Many thanks! That gets me to thinking about the circle of life; what if I did a big dead shark with small hooks on it to catch little fish?
@@zimmtex Creative juices flowing💪 I like that idea. Definitely my favorite build so far.
@@derekgarvey9805 Stay tuned!
My first comment on your channel was something along the lines of "yet another unrecognized master has appeared"
Now, my friend, you've consolidated yourself among the best of the best, truly impressed, never thought you could surprise me too much since I've already had big expectations about your work, but you did it! Congratulations!
Thank you very much! I'm honored to have you here. Your comments are a great motivation for me. Many thanks!
Been waiting for someone to do this. The ultimate topwater fishing on the planet!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Superb. I'd imagine you could calculate the density so it sat slightly lower in the water, widen the gap between each half for more vigorous action, alter the lip to give some dive where required, and add add some fur detail to the fins for extra prettiness. Then work out your material costs and production time, and sell them for (say) $5000 each? I'm sure there would be takers, both from collector's market and indeed from the sharks themselves. Brilliant job.
Thanks, I appreciate your support and interest! If you liked this one, I've got some more cool stuff along these lines coming. Cheers!
Very interesting. Kept me intrigued the whole time. Amazing job!
Awesome, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
very creative and genius the seal model bait is like a real senior
Thank you for your support!
@@zimmtex you're welcome seniors
That’s a Hell of a Job!! Usted es un Teso mi hermano!
Thank you!
In this case its very important to seal the wood. Great work!
Very true! Thank you!
I am so glad you mentioned that the great whites are protected, I was a bit nervous when I clicked the video
Thank you for watching!
How awesome that your wood burning iron also plays bluegrass music when you start it up! :-)
Thanks for watching!
Them boy's on the OCEARCH, are gonna be needing some of those! I believe that hooks can't have any barb's on them! So that the shark's don't get damaged! Awesome job!
Thanks, I appreciate you watching my video!
Nice job, that was made so well.
Thank you very much!
absolutely insane work. great job!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Dude this is an absolutely amazing video...wish I could see it in action. Imagine shark alley, explosive flying great whites
You and me both! Thanks for watching!
This is the best thing I have ever seen!!
Many thanks!
I am in awe of your skills, craftsmanship, and creativity. I think I have commented this before….but I will say it again. You have the best YT lure building channel. That pup looks so real……..the chain was brilliant….you accomplished ballast, body linkage, and hook eyes in one shot. Each strand of hair was burned in by hand. How many hours did you have into that pup?
Thank you so much, I am honored to have you here! I don't know exactly how much time I have in this lure, but it did take approximately 8 hours to do the wood burning. Thanks again for your support!
Seemed like ya had the right tools to me that’s how I make notches with a skill saw but I like the chainsaw to get rid of the shallow notches. I just personally started using large swimbaits for bass like big glide baits maybe that’s why this popped up on the feed. Very cool man
Great to hear from you; thanks for watching!
awesome piece of work there bud
would love to see it in action and how well it stands up to the huge hit these fish give
You and me both! Thanks for watching!
Looks like you had a real seal pup in your shop!!!!. I was gonna call PETA for a second..... EXCELLENT WORK AND DETAIL SIR!!
New Subscriber here👍
Thank you, glad to have you here!
@@zimmtex My pleasure, thank you.
This could be a very useful tool for shark researchers/photographers! Very cool!
I know right! Thanks for your support and for watching!
Any way that you can get with some research company and use this on the water for actual sharks? It would be amazing to see this thing in action. Amazing detail! Great job!
Great suggestion! Thank you for stopping by and for your support!
Awe, the gold ol top water shark fishing technique. The giants of Midgard were fond of this method.
Love it!
Great lure and great craftsmanship. My only request is you'd post a fishing video with this lure to see if it works. I don't have any doubt that it will but I'm the kind of guy that likes to see the results after a lure build such as this.
I can appreciate that. Unfortunately that particular fishing hole is over 9,000 miles from me. Hopefully I will get the chance someday. Thank you for watching.
Coolest lure making video on RUclips! Amazing work!
Wow! Thank you!
Absolutely awesome lure built video and to me the best there is!
Thank you for your kind words!
This is truly a work of art
Thank you!
this lure is ridiculous, i love it!

Nice work. Thanks for sharing

Marling Baits: You Dare Oppose Me Mortal!

Absolutely great stuff. Keen to see it being put to the test in Vals bay, South Africa. Sure it would work.
That would be awesome! Thanks for watching!
So so cool! Outstanding attention to detail, just a work of art 👌🏼
Would love to see a shark hit it! 🦈
Thank you so much! Maybe someday I will get the chance.
It would REALLY mess up the shark😅 cool idea FOR SURE! But not very practical 😅
@@joshuajonker7242 I don't know, I could see one of these in every tackle box! :)
Absolutely beautiful work 👏 👌
Thank you!
This is has to be a record of some kind! This is so sick
Thanks, I appreciate it!
This mans free hand drawing is impressive👍👌
Thanks! I have drawn a lot over the years. Before lure making, I was into photoreaistic pencil drawings.
That is nothing short of amazing 👌 I'd definitely say that's the world's biggest lure 👍 the details are unbelievable 🤯 you have so much patience to carry out such a huge project and not cut a single corner on all the details 👍👍👍👍
Thank you for your kind words, it is very inspiring to me to hear from supportive people like yourself. I appreciate your comments!
@@zimmtex no worries at all mate☺️ I make lures myself and I always find your videos an inspiration! You make some of the most beautiful lures I've ever seen 🤯 always makes me want to put in more effort and strive for a better job ☺️
@@davedelany2116 Great to hear! Keep up the good work!
This was such a sick ass build man. Definitely enjoyed this 45 mins of my time. Tight lines bro. Appreciated this content 🤟💪
Thank you for watching!
I thought I liked it better before the cubed edges were rounded off until I saw the end result. Very nicely crafted!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is amazing Good Job
Thank you so much!
When I saw how he is going to make the fur I thought: „What a mad man!“ 😄
I debated it for a while, but as you can see I finally decided to just go for it. Thanks!
Man, I’ve always admired your attention to detail, but this is on another level!
I love all the problem solving and creative solutions in this one. Simply genius. And how much time did you spend with that wood burning pen??… Insane.
Not gonna lie, I was kinda looking forward to seeing you pour a whole lead pot into the belly of that thing! 😂
Awesome, thank you! I probably spent around 8 hours +/- wood burning. You know, I was thinking about the lead when I was sketching this thing up, but it has so much chain in it, I decided not to add any lead.
That lure is stupid cool!
Thanks!
Wow, i’ve never seen someone that talented! Congrats. New subscriber right here! :)
Thank you very much! Welcome to the channel!
Incredible Job!
Thank you!
That's bad ass, I love the action curious how much more it would do if the corners were cut off by the joint
Just found your channel. Your problem solving and attention to detail is top notch! Just subbed!
Welcome to the channel, glad to have you here!
This is some quality work right there!
Many thanks!
That's just too adorable
Many thanks!
That was so cool
Thank you!
I loved that video , makes my homemade 9 inch swim baits look like ultra light lures 😂
Ha! I made a 12" trout and got a lot of wierd looks throwing it at my local fishing hole.
Way to think outside the box!
I appreciate it!
Awesome work👍
Thank you! Cheers!
you always amaze me. your not just a lure maker but a true artist. could you make a flat fish on one of your videos? thanks.
Thank you! I will put it on my list!
Looks awesome
Wish we could see it catch one.
Thank you, maybe one day I can get it in front of a shark!
Cool, great job
Thanks!
Dude, the wood burning... how long did that take?
I'd say around 8 hours. Thanks for watching!
You're insanely talented man 👍👍

This is so cool. Now I just want to see some sharks blowing up on it!
You bet! thanks for watching!
This was awesome viewing. You got my Sub👊
Great! Welcome to the channel!
The dedication to burn each of those fur lines is incredible
Thanks!
3 Minutes in, and I already want to see someone build a rod to throw a giant penguin shaped cedar plug.
Nice, I like it!
Probably attacked on a rope, with a electric bail, kind of like green sticking for tuna.
@@captrockh2055 I was thinking about the green stick idea too!

It would be interesting to see the action difference between two lures like this. One like the one you made here and another with the center joint horizontal
Interesting thought!
@@zimmtex great job by the way, very realistic
Dude you got skillz 🔥
Thanks!
That is badass!!!! Would love to see a video of a Great White absolutely annihilate that lure!
Thank you so much!
Nice job how long did it take you? Just curious we’re do you get your true coat Epoxy ?
Thank you! I'm not really sure how long it took. I know I worked on the fur for about 8 hours. I order my True Coat from the manufacturers website.
I have a few spots to try this out next Summer!
👍
Ol' Marlin Baits may have just gotten taken to school. You guys should do a collaboration.i like him and you now. Awesome work buddy

Stunning jod !! well done
Thank you very much!
Your the most underrated youtuber! ❤️
I really appreciate your support!
Cool idea man!
Thank you! Cheers!
Insane man absolutely loved this one :)
Really appreciate it!
Now that's what I would call a STUNNINGLY CARVED & ENGINEERED LURE plus Pyrography now that's perfection. Could tyre tread have been used for the limb's? All those razor sharp teeth the shark need's something meaty to get them into as you know! What no top seal coat! lol.
This video deserves to go viral or if not viral a million views at least.
Wow, thank you! I think you could probably use tire rubber, although I think they put steel wire in it (not sure). I really appreciate your support!
@@zimmtex Yeah I forgot about the wire reinforcement, your version looks absolutely stunning so the cost of a rubber mat would be well worth it. I can't see anyone beating it, how can they? Congratulations 👍😷👍🏴
@@PENFOLD1962 Thanks again!
I wonder if there is such an animal in the form of which you would not make a wonderful bait))) Cool video and bait!!!
Thank you very much, I really like making unusual lures. I appreciate your support.
Loved the video and it looks amazing! Would be awesome to see a research team reach out and show video of it in the wild!
We'll see.... Thanks for your support!
A cheap hand-held belt sander is a great addition to the flap disc on the grinder for larger scale stuff.
I can see that; thanks for the tip! I appreciate you watching!
Awesome great job 💯👍
Thank you! Cheers!
What kind of rod, reel, and line would you use to fish this? Perhaps a deck mounted winch??
Yes, I thank that would be a good bet.
I’ve had this exact idea!!!
Great minds think alike! Thanks for watching!
Nice and cool vid, bro!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the visit!
Great job ,any video of the lure being tested
Hopefully I will get a chance to put this in front of a shark someday. Thanks for watching!
Wow. Very well thought out and top notch craftsmanship! How many hours do you have in this project? Thanks!
