  • In this digital painting demo, we'll be painting wet skin texture using only the default brushes in Krita. The water droplets texture was painted with simple short strokes of white paint using the Wet Textured Soft brush, you don't have to put detail in each and every droplet. The main secret is making the skin look shiny, but instead of painting smooth highlights, paint the highlights with rough strokes of paint with the Wet Textured Soft brush to make it look wet. You can put more detail in every droplet if you want a more hyper realistic look.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this timelapse / speed painting video. Don't forget to like, share and hit that subscribe button for more.

This is a really good portrait!
I do work with Krita too, but not on this level.
Seeing the result you created, I think it's really important to mention that a whole lot of the outcome is dependent on what source you work from.
Being old enough to remember the times before the internet, with it's endless possibilitys and resources for decent images, I have worked with snippets from Newspapers and magazines like Playboy to create similar images with oil paints on canvas.
The better the original image was, with enough details and professional lighting, the better my paintings get.
To me, watching one of your videos is very informative in the sense that I get an idea of what is possible to achive with the default brushes in Krita.
