I LOVE that Iope derma repair cica cream! Picked it up in Korea when recommended by the sales assistant and it has saved my skin countless times over the past year! Glad to see that its getting some recognition as I haven't really heard about it anywhere really
Would you consider doing a very basic video that explains the differences toners, serums, essences, ampoule, emulsion, lotion, moisturizer, etc?. Also in the same video, identify products that serve multiple roles (e.g., May Coop Raw Sauce which is a toner, emulsion and essence all in one). This would be helpful for those who want the benefits of products that serve multiple roles without having to invest in many products.
Just be careful with klairs e mask because there's a few essential oil in the ingredients... I've been using that and it's sensitized my skin... but what is not work for me maybe work for you!!! I just want to share my experience with you guys!!!😘
Didn’t work for me, I used it with the vitamin c serum... my skin broke out, couldn’t make out which product did that as I stopped using both. Thinking of trying the vitamin c serum again.
That was such an informative video! I love how you include footage of you actually swatching and using the product on the back of your hand which gives a clear idea of how the product would feel. Thanks a lot Kelly :) Love from Canada
I have combo skin with an oily t-zone & live in the desert 🌵. My top 2 moisturizer are: Cosrx Advanced snail 92all in one cream & Saturday Skin Glacier Water cream. Just want to mention I’m a sucker for anything with niacinamide, mugwort & Snail mucin.
I have dry skin, so I always have to use thick or super hydrating creams. I find Hada labo, sana nameraka, Etude house deep collagen cream and the cosrx rice sleeping mask to be the best. I found the snail creams very drying
Wow! This was so informative. thank you for taking the time to make this video...we need more of these and especially love getting to know the Korean brands better.
about the olivarrier cream : my skin is dry and LOVES this cream. Ever since I've been using it my skin can retain so much water even after the night it does not lose its hydration ! Also I have this dry patch that looks like eczema on my hand and it is the only product that I have found that is not only mild enough not to irritate it but also soothes it when it feels itchy ! Lastly, it's just about personal preference but I really enjoy the texture, it feels very cushiony to me if that makes sense, it's very comforting indeed. I tend to dislike lotion type moisturisers for some reason and this perfectly fits my skin wants and needs.
I'm so glad you like this one too! I think this will probably be my go to choice for winter (my skin goes soo dry then) because it's such an excellent and totally comforting cream!
At the moment, my favorite moisturizer is Benton Deep Green Tea Lotion. It's a light moisturizer perfect for under sunscreen during the summer. At night time I do put something richer on top. The ingredients list is quite simple but quite unfortunately so is the packaging...🤦🏼♀️ It has the most annoying hole in the bottle which would be good enough for a runny liquid but not for a lotion! You have to shake the bottle upside down and be careful to catch your lotion blob when it chooses to come out... It has green tea in various forms, sunflower oil and centella. It is cheap and you get 120ml. (I was quite suspicious of the product name, because many times "a lotion" means toner in Asian skincare but the Yesstyle gallery convinced me that the consistency is a moisturizer type thing.)
Oh I've been curious in this new line from benton! I've tried their snail bee lotion and really liked it, did layer another cream on top of it. That's odd it's a tiny pour hole and not a pump, super frustrating!
Hi Kelly, I just started watching your videos (subscribed) and they are really amazing.. very informative and enlightening! :) I have been using Beauty of Joseon cream and it is such an cream! It totally hydrated my combo( I learned I am on the dry side, thank you:) skin and felt that perfect moisturized feeling. It is really lightweight but hydrating with an awesome light scent. I just wish that it lasted longer though. I am planning to buy Madecosside cream by Apieu and Purito deep sea water cream. Which one would you recommend? Thank you!
Kelly you have to try the Mizon All in one Snail Repair Cream!! It has done wonders for my skin, it feels extremely lightweight and sooo moisturizing I’m prone to blackheads and somehow it has reduced them so much!! And it also leaves your skin feeling so smooth
Such a helpful video. I have and love the Klairs Vitamin E Mask, and mainly use it at night. The Missha Bridal Cream Aqua sounds perfect for me. Thanks so much, girlie🍃🌸
The vitamin E always makes my skin so glowy the next day, love it! I'm a big fan of the bridal cream, so light and hydrating and perfect under makeup! 👍
Kelly Driscoll Yesss! I remember the first time that I used the Vitamin E mask. I woke up the next morning and did a double take when I looked in the mirror, lol. It really does make your skin glow:) I’ve been looking for a new face cream for the warm weather and have the bridal cream in the cart right now. Thanks!
I watched your reviews and decided to get the Hado Labo cream since you recommended it in a lot of videos. I bought it off of amazon. When I opened it, it spelled like elmers glue. That smell never went away. I’m curious if I just got a bad or fake cream or if that’s just the way it smells? Thanks so much.
Hi Kelly, have you done a review of COSRX advanced snail 92 cream ( hope I’ve got the name right) if not would you try and give us your thoughts on it. Thanks
I was looking forward to this video moisturizer are hard for me I’m always trying and not finding ones I love so it’s great to have new options that might work for me!! On a side note what lipstick do you wear it’s gorgeous?!?
Thank you for this!! Moisturizers are always difficult to find. Currently usning the soon jung 2x barrier cream which I really like. I have good stuff about the soon jung hydrobarrier cream too. Have you tried that? Surprised to not see the Jin jung sung cream on this list of yours. Will try the iope cica cream. Thanks Kelly for all your recommendations ❤️
Glad this was helpful! I love the jin jung sung but I treat it more like I would an emulsion or light lotion as it's often just not enough for my skin (although I have used it as a final layer a few times).
My last step moisturizer (after all of the serums & toners 😅) is First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration. It’s a very soothing moisturizer, calming, and I feel helps lock in the moisture. I just received my order of Stratia Liquid Gold - do you recommend putting that on after toners & serums but just before moisturizer?
Hi Kelly, I love your videos, they've helped me a lot regarding my skincare routine. The one thing I'm still struggling with is finding the right moisturizer for me. I have combo-skin, leaning slightly towards oily and I would like for my (night time) moisturizer to be lightweight AND still provide some well-aging (love that term :)) properties (I'm in my late 20s). I don't have trouble with red/sensitive or acne prone skin. Just slightly oily and getting older :D Would you recommend one of the above for my skin type? Or are there any others that could work for me? Thank you so much :)
Omg i'm on the same train and looking for that night cream, same skin almost, slightly oily but at times dehydrated (mostly in the winter time) i'm 32 and my skin is okay but i need the well-aging effect ;)
@@L_San87 Yeah, I feel like you can either get nice, lightweight, hydrating moisturizers with no well aging benefits or "anti aging cremes" that are soooo oily and heavy.... no well-aging for us oily skin girls *sigh* :D
I’m so bummed that the Klairs Vitamin E mask has essential oils in it. My skin is sometimes ok with Tea Tree oil but sometimes it can make my skin worse. My skin is so finnicky. Could you maybe do a video like this but with essential oil/oil free ones? You’re vids are so awesome. ❤️❤️
Have you heard of, or tried, Illiyoon's ceramide Ato concentrate cream? When I was looking up ceramide creams that one came up and then I seen a RUclipsr using it and also a dermatologist that's pretty popular on RUclips was naming her favorite ceramide creams and that was one of them. Could you please review you it ?!
I avoid alcohol for sure and now more and more essential oils, although that's a newer thing for me. I used to avoid silicones but I have changed since they seem to be just fine for me. I have been scared/hesitant with coconut oil and shea butter but they have so far not causes any clogs.
I think comedogenic ratings should be taken with a grain of salt because they are too generalized to give an accurate idea of what your skin wants/needs. I personally love shea butter in products, it's a great ingredient to help your skin's barrier and for me, my personal pore clogging issues stem from dehydration and a weak barrier so these types of ingredients help. I also think that formulation will play into it, something heavy on shea butter will potentially not absorb properly into oilier skin, but it could be present in a smaller amount in a lighter cream that could really do the trick. Unfortunately I think the only way to learn what will work for you is trial and error!
Funny as i just asked almost the same question. I cant have it in face skincare at all ( CC and blocked pores and cystic acne if I do) Took me years to work it out!
My niece, she's only 9, gets a lot of blackheads already and is very oily already and I want her to start moisturizing so it can balance it out. Would the Hada Labo one be good for her?
I wouldn't recommend it just because it can get sticky if you use too much! I think a simple moisturizer should do the trick, not sure where you are located, I used neutrogena moisturizer when I was her age.
I didn’t like the Klairs Vitamin E night mask/moisturizer at all. It feels so freaking sticky and you can feel it for like 1h or so. Also used it as a night mask, didn’t noticed any benefits at all :(
I think this will be safe for acne prone skin, it's great for day time because the antioxidant protection will help boost UV protection in your sunscreen!👍
I’ve tried the Juju - aquamoist all in one moisturizing gel. It’s a hyaluronic acid. I didn’t like it, no matter how little amount that I used, it was so sticky on my skin.
Hey Kelly, I am looking Into replacing one of my serums with the 'iUNIK Propolis Synergy Serum' do I need to worry about using this with certain AHA or BHA? Or any other ingredients?

Yass, this little baby is truly a beauty! I do feel it's really helped strengthen up my skin and love that it's not so heavy!
