As Bec undergoes 5 months of chemotherapy, I know it's important for me to stay busy both mentally and physically. This DIY gym renovation is something we have wanted to tackle since moving into our cabin in the woods two years ago and with the help of our amazing family and friends, we finally did it! What do you think of the renovation?

We're Eamon and Bec, a Canadian couple who previously lived and traveled full-time in our self converted Sprinter Van!! When the pandemic hit in 2020 we made the difficult decision to abandon our van in Africa and fly home to Canada. Now we're here... living at a cabin in the Canadian wilderness! OSO was the star of the show. I was laughing so hard when he kept jumping up on the couch. He was trying to give his opinion, he felt that was his comfy place and why are you taking my couch. You are so lucky to have him in your lives. What a lovely being.

Thanks for letting us, "in," Eamon. Never easy to watch a loved one suffer. As a former grief and bereavement counsellor, I really applaud your self awareness of what you require to maintain mental wellness (as much as can be expected during such a difficult period). Diving into work has saved me during similar circumstances. Soooo great to see Bec in good energy and kicking C's ass! After everything that has occurred (Lee, COVID, etc) I hope that we get to see you enjoy a celebration of love and life...*cough cough wedding cough*.

Inspiration…. To me that is what you both are! Last year my husband and I feel like we became part of the Eamon and Bec family. We have laughed, cried and generally feel like we have become to know you as a close friends/neighbors even though we’ve never met you. Two weeks ago I went to my local salon and cut 12 inches off my hair ( told my beautician I was dedicating the cutting of my hair and getting bangs to Bec…. ALL 12 inches). I donated it to wigs for kids with cancer. Bec you are beautiful! I know people tell you that but truly you are beautiful inside and out. I know how as a female you feel your hair defines you, I’ve learned thru you that it doesn’t. Last week at work was Women’s History Month…. We were to tell our peers the woman who inspires us the most… I did a power point on you and Eamon. I told my peers at work how strong, positive and courageous you are and how you inspire me to be a better person. I’ve never met a more powerful or strong couple and all I have for the both of you is admiration. Eamon you are Bec’s rock. I want to thank you both for opening up your lives and sharing such a powerful time with myself and everyone else that times in every Sunday to what’s new. This world needs more Eamon and Bec’s. Oso is definitely a keeper! Much love and continued prayers for you and your family.

I have watched you guys for about two years now. I cried as Bec told us about her journey. Eamon you are so strong and your giving Bec exactly what she needs. My mom is a breast cancer survivor. The hardest part was watching the strongest woman I know fight to stay alive. Stay strong. Praying for you both. 🥰
