Back in 2020, Eamon & Bec bought this rundown cabin in the Canadian wilderness to make a family home and create a cozy home base. We are so proud of how far we've come with this (mostly) DIY project and couldn't be happier to be raising a beautiful new baby out here in the woods. Is there honestly anything better than being in nature, getting your toes in the dirt and swimming in Canadian fresh water lakes? The only dilemma is that this cabin is barely big enough for the the 3 of us.... let alone the many guests and additional family members that we like to host as well.
Join us this week as we turn our empty loft space into a beautiful guest bedroom. We think it's so cozy and inviting that we might even move up there!!

As a fellow cancer survivor, I love seeing Bec and her belly grow and be so healthy. I unfortunately am older and also had to have a hysterectomy because my cancer was hormone positive. But, I have 2 beautiful girls and will wait for granbabies to spoil one day. You both bring me joy, and love being on this journey with you both.
I also feel so happy to see her growing baby and chemo curls as a Lymphoma survivor that put me in automatic menopause. What a miracle!

Im so happy to see her baby bump! I am also a cancer survivor. Uterine cancer, a hysterectomy and almost 3 years cancer free. I also cant have hormones so menopause has been lovely.

I love that you guys can build anything from scratch no problem, but putting together a pre made bench seems like rocket science 😂 the room turned out beautifully and Oso helping is always so cute 🥰

Bec looks good with her new hair. As an experienced parent she may want to keep it short, since grabby hands will want to pull on it, and they wont understand it hurts for a couple of years. Good fortune to you both.

@@eamonandbec its when she gets to the age where she starts feeding herself that long hair becomes problematic........sticky little hands tend to stick well in long hair......lol. Its the only time in my life really where I had short hair for a while, while my daughter was learning "dont pull mummy's hair it hurts" .......
Keep the window fan! It is so nice in the summer to have that fresh night air coming in especially in a loft space where it can be hot and humid. I'm not a fan of air-con while I sleep, I want outside air and turn off the air-con and turn on my window fan. Just a suggestion:-)
I love my window fan in the winter. I live in Florida. Lol. But window fans are not in use in the summertime.
I rented the top half of a duplex in Maine a couple summers ago. Even though then evenings were cool, heat rises and needed that window fan at night.
I love that when you do a project the whole thing is finished in one episode. 🙌🏻

This makes me happy. I went from one video where she wasn't sure what the future would hold with a cancer diagnosis to this one where she is looking beautiful, healthy, and carrying life inside of her. Best way to start my morning.

Wow -- we too were together 11 years before our first baby! To this day I am grateful we had our great travels and adventures when we were younger. ...Back then, the dad-to-be said to me one day, "If you're having a baby I'm getting a dog." And the circle of love grew bigger...

I highly recommend waterproof mattress covers if you don’t use them already as they prolong the life of a mattress for obvious reasons. They make ones for pillows too! 😊
I also highly recommend if you don’t already doing enrichment activities for meal times with Oso. Obviously he gets plenty of stimulation outside but it would definitely help on days when busy schedules get in the way to keep him problem solving and entertained.

You guys are geniuses when it comes to home Reno! My friends build shelves with doors and drawers and put closet bars in the taller ones with doors! She is an artist so she painted murals on them! There attic guest room is gorgeous! Remember there is standard levelling and the natural level of a older home. So the door if it opens properly is the natural level! I’m so happy to see you surrounded by the happy vibes of life!
