- This week we went to the spillway in Perry Lake to do some striper fishing. Update, No size limit in spillway, but LIMIT 5 per person.
Bait Used: Shiner Swimbait Tennessee Shad with 1/2 oz Round Jig Head

Those are striper highbred (rockfish X white bass) highbred are wider just like white bass. Those also have the broken stripes.

No, this week is bad as it is around the full moon phase. Things should pick up in a few weeks. Please remember to bring heavy duty tackle as the fish can go up to 50 lbs with heavy current.
The fish do not come out with the full moon!? Huh that explains why i wasnt catching shit out in the full moon on the salosbury jetty. Wow thanks for the info! Boy would i love to catch a big striper

where is this place? in what state? did you guys check if these stripe bass have mercury. here in the state of California, most stripe bass have some mercury in them.

They look more like hybrid white bass and stripers. Stripers where I fish aren't considered big until they get over 20 lbs and 30 to 40 pounders out of fresh water lakes isn't unusual. They are great eating fish whatever the species.

Where I'm from we can catch 5 and they have to be at least 21 inches at our spillway but on our lake we can catch 10 lake gwd sc our spillway down by Chappell sc going towards Newberry sc

I fished it early July. Night fish. Caught a few stripers and a huge gar. My cousins caught a few nice walleyes. I went down the Rocky side opposite of the parking lot. My fat ass almost fall a couple of times.

@@markc4850 cause guy in cap is fucking poaching. Where I live striper limit is 2 cause ppl over fish them. In the video they say limit is also 2. But guy keep fishing after he already hit is limit. By law once you reach your limit you're done. He shouldn't even be fishing anymore. That's how these ppl roll. They will keep fishing till cooler full or no more bites then go home. Smh
