Moral of the story:
- Actually parent your children.
- Stop demonizing everything you don't understand.
- Stop trying to predict the future. You will be wrong.
- Everybody is stupid. The end.

I can't get over "can you believe this child talked me on pictochat while her mom was supervising her in this clearly previously agreed upon setting!" 💀

If parents are so worried about their kids, playing violent video games, then maybe the parents should do their job as parents
What?! Parenting my child?! No >:(
Yea I was playing GTA since like 6-7 and gotta say nothing wrong about that. Went to the Suran House of earthly delights in morrowind once and my mom saw and stopped me from playing it that day. So clearly these parents are just lazy.
Blaming video games for the kid's bad behaviour instead of parents, is like _blaming the unmaintained machine for the workplace accidents for the workers instead of technicians._
ItS aLmOsT lIkE hE sAiD tHaT iN tHe FuCkInG vIdEo
Agreed. Video games arent a problem if parents do their jobs and make them realise its a game and not to take any of it seriously (gta and crazy taxi) . Many kids get unhinged because they cannot control their emotions yet when frustrated or angry from hard games or trolls. Many also are just spoiled. Que the kid who wanted a pc but got a ps5 for christmas lol. The amount of kids exposed to streamers and games who make jokes that they then copy and place out of context is stunning. Look at the among us and fortnight phase. It is only cringe due to the excessive use of fortnight dances and among us jokes. It doesnt actually cause the issues. If it wasnt the video games it would be something else like beyblades or legos. A young kid will get upset if you take away their teddy bear. Its not that different you just let them cry until they get over it and earn it back. Having a child is hard work these parents need to get over it and accept their responsability. If a kid is able to buy an adult game on their console without adult supervision thats on the parents. They should be there when they buy the games giving them access to the money lol. Im pretty sure many children would do some bad things with unlimited access to their parents credit cards.

Gamer parents of tomorrow: You can't play this game because it's a live service game and it sucks.
Oh god I can already imagine my kid wanting to get madden 50 bc their friends have it and I’ll be like “nah it’s a terrible game. It’s been the same since I was a kid. They should just make 1 version and keep updating every year with a new roster.” While saying all that my kid went off the go find a new parent.

The term “gaming disorder” is so funny to me because its so extra.
People can get addicted to ANYTHING that brings them joy. Its not a “disorder” 😂
Fr tho. They’re just fearmongering. You don’t get withdrawals if you stop playing games cold turkey after playing them for years. You feel the urge to game and might be mad that you can’t, but that goes for just about anything you enjoy. There were multiple times in my childhood when my mom straight took all my shit for the whole year because I did something bad or did poorly in school and, while I was always pissed for a while, it ended up not really even affecting me that much. I could still have fun and be happy, and in fact I’m glad my mom did that looking back.
@@falcongamingproductions9938 i think theyre all just mad that they didnt invest early into video game industry and make a killing, so now its just sour grapes
@@falcongamingproductions9938 The media needs to create problem by using unreleated things as scapegoats(video games or a specific group of people) that ignore actual problems in society such as rising unequality or lower standards of living
Sure but addiction can change the way a person's brain functions and "gaming disorder" describes a person who has trouble performing daily activities or doing work because they're so addicted. It think it's hard to argue that there isn't something wrong with a person's brain if they're addicted to something like video games that much.
@@falcongamingproductions9938 The news certainly is, the idea that fortnite is as addictive as heroin when only 3% of ALL GAMERS are addicted to gaming is hilarious. They will say or publish anything that will get them views, no matter how stupid the claim.

I love how the TV reporters who tell people literally everyday to watch them multiple hours a day don't see the irony of not liking people supposedly gaming to much.
Being told as a kid that I look at a screen too much due to spending 4 hours over a weekend on the tv playing games, says my day while sitting in front of the same tv 3 hours minimum a day and also on his phone at the same time.
Even as a kid who didn't know what hypocrisy was yet I knew that was insane.

Taking the kid to a MRI scan because of gaming is like a straight South Park bit
Let's face it, we are living in a south park episode now💀

The funniest part about Wii remotes hitting TVs is that it doesn't measure the speed or strength of the movement, hence "waggle controls"
I’ll never get over how kids playing a literal town management simulator was something to demonize. Learning how debts, loans and property management was something to take issue with.
One could tinfoil hat this approach and suspect "they" don't want you or your kids to know how debts, loans and property management works so they can take advantage of your lack of knowledge and "they" use the "think of the children!" narrative to curb that knowledge. Then again, that would require "them" and the media to actually be competent. ;)

It's almost like: Yeah I don't care about my child, never thaught him/her anything valuable, never did the uncomfortable stuff to actually raise a responsible human being, BUT I will use him/her to play the victim and have my 15 seconds of "fame". UGH

I like how the mom in the pictochat segment was upset that her daughters sent the new reporter their address despite the fact that he was already in their house
I think she was more horrified by the way her kid didn't say "i'm not comfortable giving you my address" and just went "yo straight up here's my location!"
Even when i was growing up i knew better than to give strangers my address or phone number, but then my parents were often very involved in our lives and are also the ones who introduced my brother and i to games and the internet in the 90s so it's probably different for parents who don't give a shit and just want someone to blame for their own lack of parenting.

My Mum was really into gaming herself, and we used to play games together a lot. So she knew what we were playing, and the PC ,then later, console was always in the family room. I have great memories of playing Gauntlet with her and my Sister. She was always a Dwarf. Me and my dad did a FULL LONGPLAY of Gauntlet:Dark Legacy last month, on my 21st. Beverages were had, but we mostly laughed and remembered the 15 years of the two of us playing this game.
Gauntlet was the game that made me fall in love with the experience. It has so many memories attached to it, that every time I go home, we make it a tradition to head to a certain arcade that has all 4 Gauntlet cabinets.

I truly am happy with my childhood, especially with my mom who once defended video games to other parents at the school board meeting. They were speaking against letting teens play video games. As an 18 year old who’s been playing games for more than half my life I can safely say that going from God of war 3 to playing Lego Batman an hour later was quite the fun experience.
Me waking up on a weekend and going from playing Ace Attorney to Silent Hill to Rollcage Stage 2
Btw the soundtrack for Rollcage is on Apple Music if y’all wanna check it out, idk about Spotify tho
"ZEUS!I HAVE COME BRING THE DESTRUCTION OF OLYMPUS" 1 hour later
"bruce its have been 5 years, you still owe me 16 dollars"
Funny story: As a kid I rented Mass Effect and was playing in the living room. I was having a nice Convo with my boy Garrus when he suddenly mentioned krogan testicles as my Dad walked by. He looked at me, said "what?," laughed, and kept walking

Playing Mass Effect when alone vs. playing Mass Effect with your parents around.
This is by far the funniest video you have ever uploaded, even though I completely understand what the news in appearance or saying, but you’re making valid points so fucking funny
This kid has a toy halo scorpion. That's sick, I wish I had that as a kid. 7:30
I wonder how it felt to have a parent look at you while playing animal crossing at like age 8 and go "those characters are real people and could be pedophiles" because that's what the news told them 💀
Imagine their faces when you stare back at them blankly and say “these are my friends from school.”
Facebook parents in a nutshell
I don't know, but the news is a big part of why I grew up with dial-up. Can't get phished if you can't hardly open your email.
TV news sucks it's baffling how ppl still watches this garbage
I was that kid Act Man. I only enjoyed the Pokemania craze for a few months before my parents heard the fear mongering about it so they said Pokémon was the devil.
They threw away the Pokémon games, cards and toys. They would even ground me if they caught me watching the cartoon. It devastated 9 year old me
Pokémon was actually fine-
Now Yu-Gi-Oh... 🌋👹🌋
Damn dude... thats rough
F in the chat for this punished unit.
What is it with parents demonising everything children have even mild interests in, that they don’t understand themselves?
Same here dude, my parents put a religious spin on it saying it was demonic like how
Great video, I love the battlefield 1 music during raycon sponsor

Worked at gamestop like 10 years ago. One day a lady came into the store with her grandson and asked us which game wont turn him into a crazy murderer. My co-worker just replied with, "literally every single game on that wall"

One of humanity's greatest mysteries is figuring out how to stop gamers from gaming apparently
I think its simple. If the world wasn't as shit as it is, and these people fixed stuff instead of complaining (ironic, but gimme their budget or even any chance and that would change), maybe people wouldn't be so desperate to escape it.
That applies to all addictions, and although it wouldn't eradicate it, but imagine how much a functioning police force, mental health service and political institution would make that plummet over time
@@Blessed_V0id People will play anyway. Games are art. Like movies.
if only we could prevent stupid people from voting.
@@davidempey8980 I think the issue is voting. No human can be entrusted with the lives of millions, and if they can, the next person can't, or the next.
It only takes one drop of poison to spoil drinking water. It only takes one corrupt person to spoil the world, one deal at a time.
Although on your very true point about stupidity, rest in peace natural selection. Clearly noone remembers what evolution is anymore. At least pollution will cure the disease

The Pictochat scare is probably my favorite one because of the absurdity of the situation. So let's go with their example. You're a kid in the back of the car with a DS. Are you going on Pictochat and coincidentally finding some predator within the DS's wireless communication range (reminder that you're in a car that will be spending most of the time moving) that is also using a DS and has Pictochat open to talk to you without your parent's knowledge? No, you're playing Mario & Luigi Partners in Time trying to defeat the final boss as your mother tries to get you out of the car to go to school because you're so close to the end and your child brain thinks you'll definitely have enough time to beat two bosses, one of which has two phases, back-to-back and watch the final cutscene in the 15 minutes it takes to get to school.
while unrealistic, the steelman postion, is someone could get a 3ds and slowly drive around neighborhoods and use picochat to get kids to either share security info so someone robs the home while ppl are away, or worse. is it doable yes, will kids willingly give out such info? idk maybe actman admitted to wanting to meet a stranger from online as a kid, and the solution to that is to be a good parent.
A core memory I have was when I went to therapy as child and she told my parents the reason I was irrationally scared of death was because I played The Sims. As it had a grim reaper in it. .
I really hope she’s not a therapist anymore
Lol every child has that moment where they realise they are mortal and have an existential crisis.
@@strellettes8511 😅 I don't think the therapist could comprehend a 5 year old wanting to die but too scared of the idea of it
Used to work with therapists 9/10 are crazier than their patients.
@@amberkilljoy its pretty normal for kids to realize their time is limited. Given the context she was probably just saying it was the grim reaper to make you feel better… which sucks cause any normal parent would probably say that to a 5 yr old
Nice use of the Oblivion soundtrack. Also 20:17 was one of my favorite parts
12:06 I've got a similar story: Back in 2018, when I was getting back into the Wii, I was playing Wii Sports (Baseball, I believe) without putting the saftey strap on, and swung the Wiimote so hard that it slipped out of my hands and hit the wall. The Wiimote survived this, but it did leave a small dent in the wall.

I grew up playing Halo and Gears of War with my mom, and I just got her a GoW blanket for Christmas, I can't express how much she loves the series. Gaming is an excellent opportunity for parents and their kids to bond, or alternatively I guess you can go out of your way to ensure they resent you. Not really sure why you'd make that choice.
Gaming with ur mom in Gears of war?? That's awesome I'm so jealous
how parenting should be done ^^
Same here, grew up playing the gears franchise with my dad since I was 8.
When I was little I had this assasins creed game for the DS, and my mother often had to help me out if I got stuck.
I still remember when I had her help me do this sort of mini game, where you had to twist a guy's arm so he would give you information 😭
That’s actually cool, God bless you and your mom for spending that time together.
I always loved how news went so hard on video games when there was worse shit going on that they should've been reporting on lol
That Pokémon bit.. so glorious👏🏾
To be fair Yoshi’s island is about a dinosaur devouring everything in sight, converting their matter into eggs and throwing them at a giant Flaming Turtle.
same could be said about Kirby, apart from the egg throwing
While death metal plays in the background no less.
Do you hate fox news, abc news, republican politicial and the morons for there stupidity on videogame.
So fun fact:
When I was a kid I brought a beyblade to school and there was this safe little plastic slide that had a big flat bottom so I played with it there. Other kids thought it was cool so we all started bringing our own and playing to trade parts-
we didn't just ask for parts and steal em we got to choose what was traded.
Since the whole game was rng we all just ended up with random ass sets of beyblades XD
The teachers and parents HATED it cause it was basically gambling so it was shut down after a week.
The game wasnt rng is the interesting part
While there is randomness theres an excess of skill expression in your parts combos and launch technique
@@V2ULTRAKill Wait for real? XD I guess since we were all like 8-10 we never cracked the code

I was 11 I think when I played the Black Ops 2 campaign, and I got to that mission where the nightclub gets shot up, and I remember consciously thinking “these types of situations can happen, it’s cool this game can portray it so vividly” and Fox would label me a psychopath. I quit playing football cause I didn’t like hurting people, I’m a moral pacifist, yet I must be the next school shooter cause I did the Perseus ending of Cold War.

"Made with Grandma's love"
More of this please. The war on video games is still my favorite of your's but this is some 100 proof content right here.

That grandma in the runescape segment is an actual G, she knows what her grandson likes and is passionate about. Instead of demonizing it because she is not familiar with it, she ASKS other family to just give money to him for him as gifts!
