Thats pretty alarming statistics . I myself have suffered with depression for years and been on the edge many times. Cycling is what now keeps me focusing on goals and keeping my body and mind fit. I wish chris all the best what an absolute legend. Also what helmet was daisy modelling 😀

Chris is a legend!! I ran 60km yesterday for Movember as 1km hill reps. 6.5hrs later I was done and today I am broken 😂😂

I have sungod regular sunglasses I got them in their first kickstarter, but I think the price on there cycling glasses is too high and the style of them is basic. Wish I had got pacebreakers before they released these.
@@talonlan i actually picked one myself and have to say they are up there in terms of lens quality & design with 100%. Like the Vulcans are very close to the S3 which is probably the best racing cycling glasses out there. With sungod however, you get to customize color and a clever conversion kit. Will still have to test it in hot conditions, but its perfect for cold rides so far
@@govody Oh I know the company as I say I have supported them since they first started I just think, they lack and real design at all they really are the most basic looking sunglasses ever ( style wise ) and as the price on a set ranges from £115 - £200, they are literally charging top end designer prices with a direct to consumer model. You can get Limited edition Sagan glasses or any Oakleys/rapha you want for the same money.

Hugely worthy challenge by Chris, but there's another reason Box Hill's a bad choice..the traffic! Today was awful, queued cars at the middle hairpin, up and down ☹️

Was gonna suggest starting at midnight when freshest and then u get 5 hours before suns up and whole day of light then, shame can’t do leith hill or 1 of the less twisty hills for the decent, good luck and all the best!!!

Chris is amazing since the only chance I have at "trenching" is on a submersible. :) While I'm anti-shuttlecocking (MTB term for doing shuttle to the top), in this case I think starting at the top would be justified.

Good luck with the Marianna...ning??? Trenching? Anyway... Box hill is very simmilar to my local climb, i could't ever imagine doing that 91 times.

I've toyed with the idea of everesting the hill, more or less literally on my doorstep. I also concluded that because it's about 6% average gradient, and has a really f**king dangerous corner on the way down too, it would be borderline dangerous to try. But yes, at least 300km. Probably more like 350km, "Just" for an everest. I doubt I could sustain 1000VAM even on that climb for that length of time. And when you add the descents, you quickly land in 12 hours in the saddle territory. May still end up doing it, depending on how everything evolves. There's something worth doing it for round here, at least. And it would be quite special. But only in summer. When there's daylight until 10pm. And it's warm.
So anyway. This is typical Chris madness. He'll be seeing "snakes" everywhere by the end of it. But good luck to him. Brave guy. And well done to you Francis for supporting him. You know you're going to end up doing at least 2/3 of it with him in the end, don't you? Yes. You do....:-) What friends are for...
