Here’s the pictures to doing the T420 BIOS / supervisor password reset. Also in the video I removed all the bottom case screws. That’s unnecessary, all you need to do is remove the access panel and remove the keyboard screw. To jump it, I put a pin in the first short spot and gently swiveled it around making it wider for the tweezers and got my other shorting point ready by having the connection be made just by slightly closing to tweezers. I plugged in a keyboard to press “F1” right after I hit the power button and at the same time completed the short.

For anyone unsure about which pins to short:
The U27 pins are laid out like the following:
xo
x
oo
You need to short the x pins.
If you have a tripod, then it might help to mount your phone and zoom the camera all the way in, to see better.
Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the comment.
This is exactly what was needed in the video description. Thank you!!
I just pinned it. Thank you.
Thanks. This really saved my ass. Youre cool
Thank you.

No problem.
thanks bro me sirvio de mucho saludos
De nada.
hi there, came across a w520 but the seller (found it in recycling i guess) says there is some kind of lock and cannot boot from the primary disk (there is no disk anyway) and the machine only boots from usb. Is this a supervisor password case? What do you think?
It probably has no or a locked hard drive. Try and do a Windows install with an USB and if that doesn’t work look in the BIOS for any locks. If you get schematics and a boardview look for CLK and DATA and find two points on the board you can short. I don’t have any I can test out in my inventory.

Can the same be done for the Thinkpad L420??
If you get schematics and a boardview look for CLK and DATA and find two points on the board you can short. I don’t have any I can test out in my inventory.
Can you share the squematics? Thanks

Then don’t.
@@WellsTechandRepair Okay then
Can you do a Lenovo L420?
Look up the schematic and a board view and see if you can find the same short points. I don’t have any in my inventory as of now.
Will this work with the power on password too?
Yes.
How much you pay for this kind of Job? For remove it?
$75
I hope there's such a pin for T530 too! I have one which is lucked!
There likely is I’ll have to look into it once I encounter one.
@@WellsTechandRepair My life will change by hearing more from you. please do not forget about it
I never ended up running across one with a supervisor password. I could make a video using one I have but in the meantime look for CLK and DATA if you can find a boardview and schematics and short the two.
@@WellsTechandRepair I am gonna need a schematic for T53p\0 then
Look on BadCaps
