The panic buttons are different and the overall shape is slight (and I do mean slightly) different but they are easily confused.

I was. Mine has the line across on the back. The other videos don't differentiate the different fobs, but my car is a 2008 so it is old!!!

After I did all that my alarm just goes off but to lock and unlock doors it doesn’t work

So I successfully changed the battery, but it wont lock or unlock the door, or pop the trunk. It will start the car, but the buttons dont work which they all did work before I cjhanged the batteries.

It sounds like the battery you placed in there is likely a bad battery

The catch part that holds in the mechanical key? It's just hard pressure. I've done a few of these before so I'm familiar with the process. You could also use a small screwdriver to slide it over but then you're likely going to need another hand to pull the key out. It's not a great design but that's how it's done
