I've just been talking to my MP on my doorstep about the safety of women and girls and the POW. He did not throw up his hands in horror or call me a bigot.
I've only had Lib Dims canvassing, not even the candidate. I asked these two men what a woman is. Red faces, confused embarrassed sideways glances. Then they said it was a hot topic and someone a few doors down had just asked the same thing. I can hazard a guess as to which of my neighbours that is. I know of a few women in Eastbourne who think the trans cult needs to go. But there's no collaboration. I'd have got nowhere trying to raise £500 and ten signatures. It heartens me to see the solidarity and joy of the LWS events. I wish we had a bit of that in Eastbourne. Especially as there is, weirdly given this is pensioner central, quite an active bunch of TRAs here too. Sad really, but if we don't work together on this, despite our differences or not liking each other, it'll never end.

In Scotland the Greens are enthusiastic about the whole gender transitioning of children and puberty blockers. How a party that is supposed to have been about the environment and became so much about LGBTQIA+++ and self id is confusing. The Greens propped up the SNP and were instrumental in the 'right's of trans in prisons and the NHS.

I so COMPLETELY agree with you re: only ever listing biological parents on birth certificates, where it's supposed to do so!! Of course, on some occasions, it isn't known, but then instead of listing someone as a biological parent, who in fact isn't..? It should just say: "biological mother: unknown. Biological father: unknown." Etc. Plus I'm also completely opposed to the use of anonymous sperm donors being legal. May just be great, and very convenient for the ADULTS, but how about the actual KIDS they'll bring into this world??? We should think about THEIR needs, and lives, and possible future traumas and suffering, before we consider the selfish wants of ADULTS to have kids! Which is neither a right nor an essential need. (It's still something you may strongly WANT, though! I get it! But the child's needs have to always come first.)
Just generally speaking..? We should not EVER lie, about anything, on legal documents!!! Be they birth certificates, or other ones! We don't lie about people's eye color, ethnicity, height, etc, on passports... So then why is it all of a sudden okay to lie about their sex, because political correctness and misogyny gone insane??? And why is it suddenly okay to lie about someone's biological heritage / parentage on birth certificates, again, because political correctness?? People on this side who think that's okay..? Are being hypocritical, in my opinion. And I think they haven't connected certain dots, that they need to connect. Plus are still trapped by nasty, mind warping, PC woke ideology. This whole damn problem that is gender ideology + female erasure..? Started BECAUSE we decided it was okay to sometimes LIE to be "nice"! There are Workers Party candidates standing in London, and as is well-known, the Workers Party leader George Galloway is opposed to this trans-extremist nonsense.
The Green Party is not a party for the environment. It began as “People”; A small group who wanted to create a sustainable economy. It was then changed to the Ecology Party. One of the founders was a former Conservative councillor. The UK was a pioneer in nature conservation and ecology, which arguably came from our conservative and liberal traditions more than our socialist movements, which are predominantly urban and ignorant of environmental issues. The change of name to the Green Party was a big red flag, and signalled an influx of hard left activists who had little interest in environmental issues, saw global far left socialism as the answer to everything, but knew that no one would vote for them unless they hid behind a green agenda.
That was quite amusing, though total nonsense about the Green Party being "socialist". Yes, there was a small group of left-wingers in the party, but anyone who could seriously claim to be on the "left" quit when the Green Party took control of Brighton & Hove Council between 2011 and 2015 and started attacking the GMB Union and low-paid council refuse workers, causing three years of on-off strikes. With the Greens no longer being an anti-war party and supporting NATO, it has destroyed any claim to be anything but a centre-right, pro-establishment party. The only influx I know of into the Green Party was in 2015 when loads of Liberal Democrat members jumped ship after their poor showing in the General Election.

I’m an adoptive father and I agree with you about birth certificates. My children know who their biological parents are because we told them. There should be a way to include or attach an adoption certificate to birth records so that adoptees have that information if they want it. Aside from health issues, most adoptees aren’t interested because they know very well that their parents are the people who have raised and nurtured them.
And their birth mothers made what was an extremely difficult decision for the sake of their child.
