OMG love your idea for the gold leaf, never though if that before. Had a donk moment. Thank you for the inspiration. Love the colours and love the end results. Thank you for sharing. ❤️❤️
Lina Ferlazzo Thank you! They aren’t as sharp as the look lol. I do sand the tops of the edges just a little and I may end up doing some gold gilding paint on the edges, maybe just the back I’m undecided. In my video a couple weeks ago I showed more about what I do to my edges.
Deen Enriquez Thank you! I used extra when I mixed to do a pyramid so it’s not exact anywhere from 120ml to 200ml. I would measure your molds as one and use the resin calculator on ArtResin.com
Beautiful pieces. Yours like most of mine have sharp edges, in this case in the most critical place, on top. Do you sell them that way? If not, what do you do to smooth those edges?
Thank you! I sand down the edges with some sandpaper until they are smooth. Just the edges, not the actual sides or bottom. Sometimes I add little rubber feet as well.
So pretty! I love the whispy look of the white in the green. 😍 I got some coaster molds that have to be made upside down because they have a lip or rim around them. So when you demold them the bottom of the poured resin will be the top of the coaster. Like if you flipped yours upside down that’s how mine will look. (Hope my jumbled explanation makes some sense.) And, the bottom of a resin pour is never as pretty as the top. Do you have any thoughts on what to do to make the bottom of the pour look good? All in can think is to do one color... how boring! 😂 Or the rim one color and the coaster another but no whispy stuff or lacing or anything fun. I’d love to hear any thoughts you might have. 😊
Barbara Z Thank you! I actually have some hexagon coasters with rims. So I totally understand I did do like a petri dish with inks in them. I have been thinking of ideas for them. One thing I suggest is the clear with flakes or glitter pour that first in the middle then do a color around it and let them flow together. Maybe a acrylic ink color like the teal they flow so nice. I will definitely have a video out soon about this. And you can definitely try the petri style. If you don’t know what I mean about Peri I have a video it’s only a couple weeks old. It’s my Halloween coasters.
Wandering Art Thanks so much for your reply! I’ll watch for your upcoming video and go back and check out your prior one. I’ve seen the Petri dish ones, and I like clear, but as you noted in this video that makes putting cork or felt on the bottom a problem. I looked at a lot of videos last night and you are right, alcohol ink might be a possibility. Again, thx! 😊
Wonderful 😍😍😍! So lovely mix of colours! Great idea to put the gold foil in the resin. Thank you 🤗
Andreea Uricaru thank you! This is definitely one of my favorite inks.

@@LilmizzMarie Great thanks I'll look for it. :)
Wow! That looks really pretty, especially with that gold leaf in resin! That's a very good idea! How much resin did you use on that mold?
