Hello and thank you SO MUCH for watching- please like, comment and Subscribe!! As with all my vids, all of the products and tools I use can be found below the video in the video's description. I hope you enjoy! Do you like how this crackle paste worked with these?
I bought mine, LOVE EM'. Helps the environment and that helps everyone immensely! SO worth the price and I was so excited I forgot the coupon code. lol but that was ok. SO many and easy to clean! Thank you, Katherine.
Thank you, I can't take all the credit. Laura from Laura's Art Corner started the ball rolling with her structure paste video. The link to that is in the video's description and I encourage you to check it out!! Thank you for watching =)
So pretty!.. I love the look of the crackle. I wasn't to sure how they'd look. I couldn't picture the crackle but they turned out amazing!...and.. that midnight blue glitter.. wow.. it does look like twinkling lights.. Beautifully done!! Thank you for sharing this technic.. ❤👍💕
Just Beautiful as usual! LOVE, Love, love em"! Thank you and thumbs UP! Love the eco friendly materials. Will be ordering them or some like them....Thanks again~
Oh these coasters are very Marbella....I have to have a go, loving the sparkle and especially the crackled gold edges....Resin Art just gets better xxx thanks for sharing ❤
Did you need to seal that gold crackle on the edges of the coasters so it doesn't crack off? All the crackle pieces I've done (not coasters) I have to be really careful of it so pieces don't pop off before I seal it with resin. I love the look of these coasters with that golden crackle edge! I would just want to make sure they are usable! 😍
Katherine, for us newbies can you PLEASE tell us on your video's for making your beautiful art, how much resin your using originally and then putting in the smaller cups, so that we know how much resin to mix into our smaller cups with mica, then glitter or whatever in the other cups, etc., and how much clear to keep back for the top coat, and how much in the smaller cups we should use for any glitter your putting in? DOES this make sense? Maybe a screen before hand on your video before the video starts is what we need in advance so we can make them similar to yours. It will help people like me who are beginners immensely! THANK YOU. thumbs UP, always! (I just want to make some beautiful art and NOT waste anything, which drives me nuts, and it is expensive to) Thanks Katherine and to Laura, who is a sweetheart.
You find the molds in my online store if you're in the USA or Canada www.dryerdaysartstudio.com. internationally you can get them at just4youonlineuk.com. They popped out just fine for me, no need for grease.
Stunningly GORGEOUS! I was watching a few things tonight and just happened on to your channel. SO THRILLED I did. I want to make these but first of all Catherine or ( with a K) I am so happy to hear artists talking about the environment. IT is SO IMPORTANT and especially with Climate Change and everything we throw into the dump that ends up in the oceans to. We only have one Earth and have to take care of it. SO THANK YOU. This is near and dear to my heart as my husband is a atmospheric Physicist and works with other scientists in the field of Climate and what we have to do to clean up our earth. It is NOT a political thing, it is real. ANYWAY, I loved these coasters so much and want to make some for our new home which we will moving into in a few months. Can you tell me since I am brand new (never used resin or epoxy before) if you have to coat these coasters with anything since they will be getting wet? I love the glitter and I guess it is each to her/his own. I wanted to make a midnight blue and this works perfectly enough. I subscribed and gave a THUMBS UP! Thank you so much for your time. Just awesome all the way around. Loved the music too!
Hi Victoria and thank you so much!! I agree with you on the climate stuff and taking care of the planet. As per your question, if you are going to use the coasters for hot coffee mugs, you'll need a heat resistant resin. Once fully cured the resin is fine to get wet. I usually recommend just wiping them off- no dishwasher. I hope that helps!! Thank you for watching and subscribing!
@@DryerDaysArTsTuDiO Hi Katherine. I hate to bother you once more, but I bought some Resin and Hardner. Just a 8 oz each bottle since I want to try it first. Does the bottle need to say Heat resistant resin on the bottle or is there any other way to make sure they will stay shiny just in case someone puts a hot cup on them? Dumb question but I won't know unless I ask. I will buy the brand you use when I can afford it. Unfort when I became disabled from a broken back when I was 41 (22 yrs ago) the gov didn't care that I was a stay at home mom and that being a mom is a full time job in its own. But they don't pay you for it so there fore my craft money goes fast unless I can buy pay for it in 2 pymts...I get paid 1x a month which is hard and I want to make my crafts NOW...I don't have any patience~lol Thank you Katherine. blessings~
what brand is it? I can see if it's heat resistant. It should say if it is. Heat resistant if you will be using hot cups on the coasters. The hot cups can soften the resin, thats why the heat resistant is preferred.
@@DryerDaysArTsTuDiO NO worries, I went back to Amazon and looked at the 2 different brands I bought. ONE is used on tables and was more expensive so it says you can put hot or cold drinks on it and the other I haven't looked at yet but will. I got the round Geode coasters you first used, and I think it is from someone you suggested because you had sold them out. I got the ECO friendly supply cups and sticks, from the Co you did. I can't wait until they get here. I just asked hubby if he cared if I spent extra this month on craft supplies and when I told him what he said No, go ahead. SO, I did and I bought some things from you. Glitters I think. Thank you for saying you'd look it up. I wasn't thinking. Too excited, I guess!
😍😍😍 gorgeous coasters ! I love this blue ! And with the glitters : wow effect ! 💙💙💙🤗 How much resin do you used for those 2 coasters ? Hope you have a happy Halloween !
I always use a different amount lol!! I don't usually fill them all the way and I use extra to make cabochons or other things, but about 6 ounces for these
I ordered the ecoart set on november 11 and they have never shipped it nor answered my email inquiries. I would not recommend them as they took my money but never sent product.
Such stunning work but I feel like all of your coasters would look so much better without the glitter. Especially the chunky glitter. It makes it obvious it's not a stone. Still beautiful tho!!

Gorgeous!! Love the crackle 😍😍😍
Where do you get those moulds? Can you use a harder mould and grease it up so the resin will pop out?
You find the molds in my online store if you're in the USA or Canada www.dryerdaysartstudio.com. internationally you can get them at just4youonlineuk.com. They popped out just fine for me, no need for grease.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.....TFS....:)
Can I ask how think are these mold when unmolding
Hi, I am not sure if you are asking how thick they are? the mold is about 1 centimeter deep and you can make them up to that thickness
Hiya, please can you tell me how much resin you measured to make these coasters? Thank you.
about 2.5 ounces!!
@@DryerDaysArTsTuDiO For 4 coasters right? Thank you.
Nope that's each. It's probably a touch more actually
@@DryerDaysArTsTuDiO Thank you very much.
Beautiful. I bought your geode coaster molds and have a question. How much resin do you use in each coaster. Thank you so much.
I use about 2 ounces per geode mold
So pretty! Did you put a flood coat on top or over the crackle? Thank you!
You can, and Laura recommended it. I have not yet and waiting to see how they hold up! Great question
Hi I live in Canada where can I purchase gold crackly paste. Can you help please
