I’m 62& in 8th grade, this was one of my first songs I learned & sang it also, Take me home country roads, color my world,Times they are a changing, freebird. We had the Greatest woman music teacher ( like Mr Holland’s Opes) but better , she even was teaching my niece 25 years later doing show performances at the city performance center, San Jose, calf. I doubt you will ever see this , but I’m a big fan of yours! You have helped me over a music stumbling block I have had & inspire me ! So Thank You & Blessings for what you do! Ps You have one of my most favorite Names Angela !xxoo

Can’t wait for your new EP to come out in May and looking for a single to drop even sooner!! Hope to hear you & The Players on a Norms video very soon too! (Tonight or next week??) Congratulations!! And btw thanks for the great lesson!
This is awesome right here. The House Of The Rising Sun was one of the first songs that my dad taught me on the guitar. Angela, your guitar lessons are awesome as well as above and beyond. They are also on point and off the charts. Please keep it up with your guitar lessons.
🚢🌴 First Time , Rob from St. Thomas Cruise Ship Port … First Song Mi Shebeirach by Debbie Friedman . Love the Animals … saw them in a small concert venue in uptown Chicago
The House of The Rising Sun was the second song I learned back in 1970. Little did I know that I played it wrong, just as everyone else did, for decades. 🥺 The first song I learned was Puff the Magic Dragon, the Peter Paul & Mary version.
Unfortunately I'm generally busy doing something while you're having your live stream. I greatly appreciate all the lessons you do. Thank you, From Charlie in Georgia USA.
I love this song....Awesome song, I just saw a video done by Allie Sherlock, Wow Amazing, she gave me chills down my spine with her voice, I'm from Vancouver Island, My first song was Come On, by The rolling stones..., Thank you Angela
More intermediate to difficult 60’s & early 70’s Zeppelin, maybe the Beatles, ZZ Top, or some blues. You are good fun teacher!!!!!! …. I really liked what you did with “your time is gonna come” & Over the Hills.”
Question,, when you fingered the F chord you said pick the D string the. Strum, but can you also have picked the A string since there is an A note in the F chord.
Just found you today on RUclips it seems that the algorithm doesn't put you up there in front I've been searching for months on RUclips for different artists and this is the 1st time I came across you Do you do ukulele you tube?
Hi Angela. I am no expert but almost everybody plays or teaches this song wrong. On the Am, C and E chords you do not rake the high E string coming down, you stop at the B but the part everyone gets wrong and I did too for many years is that when you pick the strings on the way up you always lift your finger to play the G string open! It feels weird and at first it may sound weird but that is how the Animals did it and I am 100 percent sure of this.
Does anyone actually know who wrote this song? The Animals version is probably the most popular but the song itself was around long before the Animals.
My mom said I started with 6 y/o but I belive I was 7. So about one or two hundred years ago I was sitting by the kitchen table learning notes from a sheet. My first song in that book was called Andante, played on a nylon. Later on when I got my first acoustic this song was one of the first. It was and still is a great beginner song.
