Played another day in same tournament with his own money and won $$$$.
Investors=people buying action.
People were bitching. So he gave them their money staked X2 back.
I get why he did it, but... it sets a bad precedent.
Most people that stake players know that their money goes to a specific buy-in.
Apparently, those who staked him thought he was a little too loose with the first buy-in.

I would love to see an educational video about position's and how that effects how you bet and changes the range of cards you feel like is playable. For example, you are in the small blind and you get QT off, because you are out of position you may play differently than when you are on the button with the same hand etc. Love the videos bro, sparked a fire in me to play more!

Congrats on hitting your target, and I think most here have enjoyed your journey and friendly play-by-play coverage on every BRC vlog. 🙂
However, I think even you will admit lots of these $1-2 and $1-3 NL games played more like $2-5 NL at most places, with opponents sitting in largely because it was you in the game,... hoping you'd punt off lots of times, and were willing to give you action at levels much higher than typical $1-3 games🙂. Where I play, a $15 preflop raise gets folds all around most times, and post-flop a $25 or $35 bet gets little or NO action! Max buy-ins are usually $200 to $300 at those levels for lots of us. To get the kind of action you get, a $2-5NL game would be needed, requiring a larger bankroll.
One other thought is the consideration that to get the higher buy-in games played, you traveled all over the USA. Some of that travel was to get in other tourney events and higher cash games, sure. But the average player at these stakes cannot afford to buy plane tickets and pay hotel costs to get there, so we'll only play locally for the most part. Travel costs are a consideration and drain on lower-stakes players for sure, yet were not accounted for at all in your stats.
In the end, I think it's almost impossible for you, now that you're so well known, to ever again play in typical low-stakes games and have it be any different than getting lots of action. If you decide to do another, say at the $2-5 NL stakes, then it might be more interesting to have a reasonable starting bankroll that IF it's lost, you've lost the challenge. Be it $5k to $10K starting bankroll, let that put some pressure on you similar to what a starting player feels. Now THAT would be a series that would be interesting to watch also! 🙂

as a former dealer, graduate of the las vegas school of dealing, tips are how we make a living. I've noticed most pros don't tip, the money for us is at the limit and lower no limit tables. Pros don't tip because of just what rampage said, it eats in to profits, makes sense but dealers appreciate the tips. actually more hands are dealt per hour in limit games, no limit is given more time outs. My bosses would be able to count how many hands per hour I was dealing, the drop has a digital counter, so the less hands per hour, you get pushed to the non prime shifts. and deal in tournaments, there's no money for us in tourney's. it's all about the drops. and then we have to cut in the chip runner, cashier, floor mangers and tip them out too. I worked one casino that would charge us 3 dollars per hour to deal there but the tips were good.
