Turned out pretty good, but guys...wear a respirator when spraying this stuff and get the kiddos out of there unless they have breathing protection too. The hardener has isocyanates in it that can do some nasty damage to your lungs, especially for the little ones.
Your Mean Green 4Runner looks great. I have a white 1996 Daihatsu Hijet 4WD mini pickup coming from Japan and I'm going to coat it inside and out with a dark gray Monstaliner, and if that goes as well as anticipated, I'll do black Monstaliner on the outside of my black 2005 4Runner (so the door jams match), with 2" coil over lift and larger all terrain tires. Monstaliner can be sprayed but most people roll it and get great results. I'd have never considered rolling any automotive finish, but the results are excellent with more control over the texture. For my mini truck, I'll go with a heavy textured surface in the bed and a lighter less textured finish everywhere else. Rolling also means no compressor hassle, no over spray so much less masking, no cleaning a spray gun, etc. Surface prep is still a bit tedious but I'll use a nylon cup brush in a drill to scuff the paint. Raptor recommends their Adhesion Promoter for plastic parts. My 4Runner has a lot more plastic trim so I'll bed liner those parts and won't be removing and reinstalling bumpers. Monstaliner has a working time of a few hours so people mix an entire gallon and use it to apply an entire coat to a vehicle and have less issues with it setting up as they apply it with varying texture. Raptor is generally applied to one panel of the vehicle at once. Monstaliner is applied to the entire vehicle at once.
@@HD46409 - Spring is just now springing here. It'll be another month before I apply Monstaliner to my Daihatsu Hijet mini truck or Toyota 4Runner. I'm looking forward to both of those vehicles having a renewed finish that is very durable.
This is exactly what I want to do to mine … love this probably go a grey instead of green but yeah this is fantastic looking no more expensive car washes with this setup… sharp!!!
How is the color fade after a year? I’m thinking about doing this exact thing to my 4runner. How many gallons did you buy to do the entire truck? Is that the green or is that the olive green? I was thinking of doing the olive green.
Great job Jason! How many coats did you have too waiting in between coats? Any regrets or something you would have done differently? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Best regards!
I did 4 coats total waiting 20min between coats as stated in the instructions. I would have taped off better between the door jams. I also prolly would have prepped and coated the inside the wheel wells.
I just paid $12,000 for my 98 a few months ago with 125,000 mi. I was the first in line for it with others chomping at the bit to buy it. My mechanic gave it the thumbs up, just needed brakes. I'm super happy with it.
@@Lumpy007 I just sold a 99' black limited E-locker with Icon suspension on 33" Grabbers, custom roof rack with LED lights and awning for 13k and it had 306k miles

Oh for sure! Once they got going, everyone not spraying was moved outside. Even if you were not close, the odor from that stuff is unbearable.
LOL "LITTLE ONES".
This looks amazing. I would love this on my 2nd gen but in a black or dark grey !!!! The finish is just 🔥

I'm thinking of doing a Monstaliner job on my 2002 4Runner. I'm assuming that you are happy with your choice? Thanks.

How much bedliner did you need for the whole truck. How many liters
How many containers did you use?
do you guys do side jobs ? i was hopin you could do my 4runner in the bedliner
You would have to hit up Evans Automative to find out! 918-251-7424
Absolutely freaking awesome!
Looks cool. How is it holding up and how is it to CLEAN?
Super easy. Pretty much just spray it off at this point lol
This looks sick! i want this for my 4runner
Looks great! How many bottles did you use and what PSI did you spray it at?
10 bottles of raptor liner at 60psi
Looks good guys.
I'm getting ready to do the same to my 4Runner. How much bed liner did you use?
2 raptor liner kits
How many tint colors did you need? I’m interested in raptor lining my 4runner but not sure how many I need
I used 1 per container
looks AMAZING ! your hired

16:56 It's not "John Deere Green" but it sure is *"Puke Green"*
Maybe if we are talking exorcist puke lol love it
@@JasonandEarl 😂😂😂
The 4Runner is dope but that camaro in the background though 🔥🔥
Lol
Whats the color bed liner name?
Any tips on gettin the badges to stick to that Bedliner after. Like the Toyota logo on the back ? Thanks
Mine had holes in the gate I just pushed it back in. So I kept the toyota badge in the rear but not the 4runner badge.
what did you do to the door jams? are they still blue?
They are still the factory green.
Did you add a green dye to it? If so what type of dye?
Yes I used bed line tint
So how you wash it now?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Over All Looks AWESOME

Looks great!
Great job guys super impressive
Thank you! Wait until you see what it looks like NOW! We have another video coming that will show off the fully modified version of this 4runner.
@@JasonandEarl can't wait keep going
How bad was overspray? Considering doing it to my 4th gen but only have a 2 car garage and worried I’ll have to tarp off entire garage
In a two car garage, I think you may want to go the tarp route.
nice work boys 👍💎
Looks awesome, what color is that??
Forest green
Looking great
Great video! What is the color code?
Tbh I searched forest green bedliner tint and bought the color I liked that came up.
SWEEEEEET!!!!! When you guys are ready to REALLY get it dirty, let me know, I come up there and show you guys how to get DIRTY!! :)
That is a dominating color!
Looks great!!! I'm definitely copying you guys!!!
Go for it man! Be different lol
you guys fuck that up pretty bad, lmao
Not including labor…what was your cost of materials?
Materials cost was about 800$
The value of 3rd gens are increasing quickly

@@nunya5696 for a parts truck maybe
@@nunya5696 uh yeah?! Hope you picked it up!
What color is that
It's a forest green dye mixed with the bed liner.
Nice!
That’s about the color of my 02 Tacoma
What would that cost?
Get some respirators next time. Lmao
Live dangerously 🤣😂
Should’ve done the bumpers too..
Got new fabricated front and rear bumper
Why green tho???? Grey wild have been so badass. The bedliner looks amazing but the green is so bad.
Looks great, but I bet you lose a little MPG due to the increased drag.
Where the hell is the DA?
Good Ole fashion hard work!
Is it for sale 😂
Not right now lol we will be doing a video update on it soon!
must be hard to wash no ?
Pretty easy now lol just spray her off!
This trend needs to end
It makes sense for this guy. Never washes his 4 runners, and it's in the mud a lot. At least it isn't a challenger lol
Dudes wearing a covid mask? 😷
Not quite lol. But we definitely could have used some legit respirators ever with both bay doors open
You are talking too much!
I appreciate the feedback!
Dam.. awesome 😎 I’ll do the same thing with my green limited 🦾
aye i got a green sr5 3rd gen i was thinking the same thing when mine gets all scratched imma do this
Looks great!
