    Nice rundown of your gear. I recently purchased a 7' ML Ulgy Stik Elite and couldn't be happier. I have used many more expensive rods over the last 40 years of fishing and I finally got tired of broken tips and guide inserts popping out. Yeah, you might lose a tiny bit of sensitivity with the Ugly Stik, but the bombproof durability allows me to simply enjoy fishing and not worry about my equipment.

    How has the the inshore select model held up? I just purchased the 7 ft MH fast action but concerned as I have seen many reviews saying they are very prone to breaking.

      I still have mine, fish with it, but have upgraded as it is a little heavier than some rods.

    Hey brother thanks for sharing. I also use an ugly stick gx2 with some random reel and an old rod with a penn captiva 4000. Great rods and reels. They've taken a beating and still perform beyond expectation. Got my gx2 from bass pro with the military discount as well lol. Good luck out there, and God bless you and your family.

    Are the inshore rods truly moderate action? Trying to decided between 7’6” medium mod fast ugly elite or the 7’ MH inshore. Wanting it for inshore and light surf. Then occasional small catfish. With a pen fierce 3000

    • @TheKayakWarrior
      @TheKayakWarrior  3 года назад +1

      The 7’6” probably is in the Elite, but I’m not sure about the 7’. My 7 footers are in the Inshore Select, they are moderate.

    Question sir, does the ugly stik guide rings withstand the abrasion from braided line? Thank you

    • @TheKayakWarrior
      @TheKayakWarrior  4 года назад

      Boy ding absolutely! I’ve caught a lot of fish with these and have not had an issue yet. The key to making them last is the maintenance after you fish. Spray them down with fresh water and wipe the rod down, especially the guides. This keeps stuff from collecting which will lead to problems.
