Anyone that chooses to set zero on the table is not living in the real world. You do that and don’t have your stock perfectly set up in the vice you will over whelm your tools and likely break something. Just show folks how to probe the stock, set alarms of stock is too low, and set zero to the top of the stock!
I agree, that said, typically my first step is to have a probe toolpath as the first operation to validation the location of the stock. Shame on me for skipping that step in this video!
@@PM.al.whatmough Ya basic functionality. Like I can select a component despite it not only being hidden in the browser + behind and completely blocked by a component in front of it + having Face priority enabled. What? How?! Or the slowness. Or the beach balls of death after doing just about anything, or the crashes on brand new M1/Intel macs, or the mouse pointer magnet. WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE HORRIBLE MOUSE POINTER MAGNET? If I’m pointing my mouse pointer above a face I want to select that face. Not the edge a 1/16” to the right of the mouse pointer, not the edge a 1/16” to the left, not the face on the opposite side of the model. I have a muscle tremor, tendonitis, and I’m using a trackpad. Yet it is Fusion that is the biggest obstacle getting in the way of me being able to select what I want. Insane. Why do I have the option to add smoothing to the trace toolpath? That toolpath doesn’t support smoothing. That check box is literally there for no reason. The viewcube just stops working randomly. The browser stays on my screen like its job is just to block any content outside of Fusion. Did I just dimension a line segment in the sketch environment? Oops looks like that line just got transported off screen to the moon. You have to be aware of these bugs, no? If not maybe figure out why that is. I could go on and on and on and on.....
@@matthewdavis9954 This is great feedback. That trace one is on me and my team. That is silly, isn't it? I will pass on the modeling feedback to those teams. I am not in the day-day of some of this.
Thanks for sharing this inf , there is more tutorial about 5 axis machine please ?
at 2:25 , why the "auto-merged hole segments" is not showing? so you need adjusted the heights!
Nice videos Al, thanks for taking the time to make them.
Is fusion 360 free for hobby use ?
I'm always selecting Z and X axis in tool orientation, but do I need to?
Typically, you don't need to. Z is generally enough.
@@PM.al.whatmough thanks. But what is not typical?
There is more tutorial about 5 axis machining , in fusion anyone can share please the link
Thanks for the information!
