If you want to keep your cats off the counter then one thing I've done in the past is take little strips of scotch tape and put them sticky side up on your counter. I did this for just 2 days and the cats stayed off the counter. And we all got a good laugh out of it too! LOL.
Ya when I was a kid I once bit a small piece before that was still on xmas candy even though i thought all of it was removed. Even that small piece hurt a ton, it's like it cuts your teeth. I wouldn't let an animal bite it
You can buy all the cat toys you want and all they do is sniff and walk away. Roll some aluminium foil into a ball and throw it on the ground and they lose their minds! 😂😂
First Christmas with our rescue kitten, she was about 5 months old and already was climbing everything she could. Don't know why my wife and I thought the Christmas tree would be exempt. Day 2 of the tree and it's on its side. Kitty had brought it down during the night. Plastic tree so no water or needle nonsense to deal with. So I put aluminum foil around the base of the tree. Next morning tree was on its side and the foil was relatively untouched. Later discovered that Kitty could leap great distances with a single bound. Cats are cute and cuddly but they are also evil little @$;* and cannot be trusted. That was three years ago. We now have another rescue kitten in the house and 3 rescues in the garage. I'm a slow learner.
OMG!! The one rolling around on it and loving every minute of it killed me. I'm going to try the double-sided tape. I think that it will probably work better than this. Too funny!

Btw I put it there because it's the only spot I can put some precious things of mine, I have another cat who occasionally goes up there but she quite literally does not care about what I have on it.) Before I put the foil on my dresser cleo (naughty kitty) had torn down my teddy bed and made a mess. My dad had to bolt it to the wall but we're still worried abt the stuff on my dresser. Anyways my point was this morning I woke up to see cleo sitting on my dresser ontop of the foil PLAYING WITH IT..... I have now taped it down and I'm going to put more. If that doesn't work I'm gonna put double sided tape, we don't own any but I literally will buy some
My wife put tinfoil on top of a DVR because we had a cat that kept sleeping on it, and he eats too fast, so there have been two occasions when he's destroyed a DVR barfing into it. Turns out DVR's only last a couple seconds after cats barf through the vent holes. Anyway, she put tinfoil on it, right over the vent holes, which is not great for the DVR. Cat continued sleeping on it, DVR continued working in spite of having no heat ventilation, and the next time he barfed on it the tinfoil saved the day, so.....I don't remember where I thought I was going with this, BUT I do want to very sincerely wish you the very best of luck with your PD Dialysis.
Set a mouse trap, _place it _*_upside down_* where you want the cat to stay off, cover the trap & the area with newspaper. *_Upside down,_* the trap will spring up & snap when disturbed but won't harm the cat. My cat and I are playing with his balls and at one point instead of stopping before the mirror he hit the mirror look at it realized it is going to fall trying run back toward me, but the mirror fall crashing itself in pieces now I have a scare cat and 2 sleeping cats who wake up jumping from under the table lifting the glass top which also crash on the floor in pieces, now I have 3 cats running around all over not knowing where or what to do, where to hide and whatnot. I replace the mirror on the wall and the glass table top, the persan cats never ever sleep anywhere in the dining room ever again, and my cat was fine with bringing his foil balls back but getting near the mirror he would slow down and wait to be sure it would not fall and brake again.
