Seems like you could save yourself the expense & trouble of buying a larger bucket by simply adding a thin coating of vegetable oil, or a thin piece of foam rubber, to the bottom of the 5-gallon bucket. That should thwart the ability of the mice to jump out of the smaller bucket.
Last night my son and I used a live catch cage mousetrap to manually catch a little bugger that was stealing our dog’s pellets. I spotted him in the corner of the cupboard, closed the door, called my son to come hold the door while I went to fetch the trap. I came back with the trap, opened it, and then my son slowly opened the cupboard. The cheeky mouse was still sitting in the corner giving us the stink eye. I propped the trap up between the cupboard and the bag of dog food, and started shaking the bag. Mr mouse ran straight into the trap. I simply closed the trap’s door, and had him caught! We took him a couple of kilometeres away from our house, and set him free in the veld. Easiest mouse catch ever, especially compared to catching that noisy frog in our back yard the other night!

I don't know if it's been posted elsewhere already, but what trail camera does Shawn use? I'm looking to get 2 or 3 and was wondering his thoughts on the one he uses. Thanks
I store my truck for the winter in my shed. I'm wondering if there's a half decent repellant for mice that works. I haven't watched all of Shawn's videos, but the ones I have watched don't give me much hope. Moth balls, nope, dryer sheets, nope. Is there anything else that will work? I'm not around all the time to catch live ones in a bucket, just rather deter them.
This looks good for inside a secured barn but a garden, no. Other rodents will eat the bait and/or it will attract other mice/rats from outside the yard.
My experience seems to be the opposite. I've even had mice take the bait while the dead mouse is still in the trap. "The second mouse gets the cheese." I simply re-bait if needed, then reset the old (& dirty) snap trap. It's been an effective method for at least 20 years. I also now use the Dizzy Dunker (along with Flip & Slide) when I need a repeating trap.
I’ve been watching a lot of your videos for quite a while now…I have one question….where do you continually find such mice infested areas to make your videos?? 😂😂
A question I'm sure others have asked before. But where are all these mice and rodents coming from? Every week new content weekly and always new rodents
Why do you keep killing non native mice, no species is really native to anywhere. And why do you set free Deer Mice, (a species that carries the HantaVirus)?
@@hectorg5809 Nothing is really native to a specific area. Humans kill an animal species based on their idea of what is native to that land.
