Absolutely true. I have a 2.0 GLi Station wagon from 1993. My dad bought it new back then and I heired it from him. I can't recall a single failure ever, except maybe a flat tyre. Just had my mechanic do a big service recently and now it is again certified street legal by the Zürcher Strassenverkehrsamt. (I live in Switzerland.) 238'000 km and going!

I had a similar style of Corolla 2000 with 1.4. engine for over 5 years. Beautiful car with amazing power for a small engine, great drivability too. They don't make cars like these anymore.
Estonia going by the licence plates, What happens to the cars once they are up and running do you park them up or are they sold on for restoration as there are some real classics and many of them I remember brand new in the show rooms, excellent channel👍
I had a uncle with a Toyota Carina. He went to holiday for over 6 months, I disconnected the battery then when he come back connected it and it fired up like it was never parked. They can last forever with abuse aswell alot of taxi drivers have them. They are true bulletproof engines. I believe the start of Toyotas bulletproof era along with the corolla.
Hello Flexiny, Thank you for sharing this new video, congratulations on the restart of this "sleeping beauty" it's a model that we rarely see on our roads.
I had a twenty years old Corolla that I brought used from original owner that has 2.8K miles with original tires. The owner was 89 years old guy and I paid to have it shipped to my home in CA. I still have this car and I don't want to get rid of it.
The good old 7A-FE. I love this engine. A machine that's basically indestructible. Also, the Flash badge on the sides and the back are from the Flash trim, a limited edition, equal to the Scala & the Magic editions. Thank you for the video. ♥
I had one of these, they were and still are awesome cars. If it wasn't for a company car, i'd still have mine now. I gave it to my brother when he passed his test.

i'm amazed, this good old Toyota start and run as it was parked yesterday. did you put some fresh gas into the tank or did it run on gas from 2016? your vid (congrats for your vids btw =) ) confirmed my opinion that the cars from the 1990's the best ever were built: good rustprotection, few electronic, reliable mechanic and materials = straight cars to carry people over thousands of Kilometers. the most reliable car i was driven so far in my life was an 1997 Opel Astra-F Caravan (=Stationwagen) with the X18XE-Engine and automatic gearbox. i got it in spring 2007, it survived till 2015, more than 384 thousand Kilometers, most of them on german Autobahn with high speed, 4 crashes during its life, 2 blown headgaskets, and it went on and on and on ^_^
They are Toyotas. Of course they are going to run! Amazing how many different models Toyota sold around the globe. In Canada we never got the Carina, and our Corollas looked nothing at all like the gold one. Wife drove a Tercel for 19 years then bought an FJ Cruiser. She will never sell that one!!!

Man time goes fast. I remember in the late 90s i was gaming at a friends house every week. He always had the nicest toys. A little spoiled. He was a only child . But one they his parents bought a new car and i was there. Man there was this new Carina E . That was something! Because my parents drove a Hyundai Lantra… nowadays… this carina is an old car. Probably standing somewhere rusted away in a junkyard or in a bush….
Great video. Love these old Toyotas. When you try driving, and the car doesn't move, the speedometer was going. I think it's not the clutch. Check the propeller shaft. Stay save.

Well, actually there was a little bit of music from the radio. 🎶😉😁
How is it underrated when it has 300k subs?!
That's the Estonian way: quiet but effective. Kind of ironic for a nation that literally won its independence by singing.
