We filmed the 2022 YFZ450 yesterday and did some testing on the DS650 to get that one ready to go.. Got a new ltr450 set up for trails, gonna shoot that out with the yfz, 3 Raptor builds ready to film, and a z400 on the way tomorrow.. So we've got plenty more Sport quad content coming!
You had a great foundation to start w/ but now she looks like a proper woods racer. It's awesome to see u having fun and showing everyone what a great sport quad racing can be. Your getting much better too bro!
Love watching y’all’s videos and gotta say y’all are part of the reason I decided at the age of 30 to finally try out xc racing, I ran a Trx450r a couple times, currently building a 2017 raptor 700 for this year. I know y’all are fans of the raptor 700, why not try building one for xc racing?
Sweet ER... Always liked the orange frame.. but I am partial to orange as alot of people know.. 👍👍👍 #teamwaxoffroad #staciescountrycooking #savesportquads #makeatcsgreatagain
I used to motocross back in my teens with my dad. Never tried xc racing back then. My dad pasted away in March so I want to at least one xc race for him. Now that I’m 50 it will be rough lol!!!
I've been a dasa fan, but got an empire industries gen 2 full exhaust for my 05 trx450r, that paired with a 12.5 1 piston the bottom and mid range pull is ridiculous, noticeable difference from the dasa which seems to have a mid and high range pull.
Definitely agree.. The Viking had a DASA on his other build at one point but that's a better option for MX. I personally like the sound of the Sparks, the other one has a Titanium Yoshi which is pretty nice too.. We both have Empires on our Raptors and I'm really happy with the Empire 🤘
One other thing, I didn't know of it until recently that if you are using such a great suspension set up, such as yours, that it plays a big roll in the performance of your motor a slight increase in power may benefit the suspension even more.
Sweet looking quad🤘 it’s rad you guys are racing and having a great time. Try hanging leg lifts or just hanging from a bar, Or using different strength hand grip trainers to help with arm pump🤷🏼♂️

@@stevestephaniecaudill4879 Near Bedford mostly.. The next IXCR is this weekend in CANAAN.. Im hoping to go route Brent on but I'm not 100% sure I can make it yet..
I don't think it's outside the realm of possible but it gets less likely with every year that passes... A few years ago there was rumor about a prototype and release in 2018 but obviously that didn't happen and we haven't heard a peep about it since..
@@katen914 wish I could more help, but the used market is as tough as the new market these days! Hunt and pounce, be ready to jump on something when you find the right one!

Thanks! There's a couple schools of thought on running a Raptor in XC.. First I should say that the Viking has run the Raptor in a race before, last year's IXCR ice breaker where low torque was advantageous in the icy-mud environment.. But after that race he went back to the 450s.. At a certain level (class or personal capability) the Raptor will be a disadvantage because of it's higher center of gravity and lower compression.. Generally speaking, xc quads are 48-48.5 inches wide when built and a 450 at that width will be more stable.. The higher compression engines will also be in the peak of their power at higher RPMs which will make it easier to keep a race pace through choppy terrain.. A guy like me would do much better a Raptor because they're easier to ride. Serious racers will be faster on a 450 because that pace is methodical and more balls out. The great racers Brycean Neal, Hunter, Walker are pretty much pinned 85% of a Race.. The higher compression engines and dimensions of a 450 were designed to do that, the Raptors were designed for a different purpose.. Doesn't mean a Raptor won't make a good race machine, but you wouldn't see top level guys racing them.. Not saying that the Viking is a top level guy, but his goal is to move up as high as he can in the classes, so he needs to be on true race quads to do that.. The bike classes make a good analogy.. You wouldn't see a big displacement dual sport like a DR or XR650 in the bike classes.. They could do it, but they're designed for a different purpose.. The Raptor is kind of the dual sport of quads which is the biggest reason why we like it..
Loving the orange build 💪 and having a blast racing IXCR 🏁
Boys that’s my favorite year Of the TRX 😍 not like Honda to venture off with those colors but I love the orange frame! Anyway nice build Viking 🤟
It was pretty damn clean before the build but he definitely went all in! 🤘
That thing is looking sweet! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
🤘
My buddy had one growing up with a dasa man that thing was a beast.
The other one he built had a DASA on it for a little while.. It's got the Yoshi now tho.. The DASA a screaming top end pipe tho.
The 450 is looking just about as good as The Viking does riding it. Awesome build!!!!
Thanks Eric! He's look to bring home that first W in IXCR this weekend

We've been calling it Creamsicle! Lol!
