Such a great build man! Its been really fun following you race this year. This build has me jonesing for a 450r build 🤘👌
You don’t realize how impressive that build is until you’re looking at every little aspect from front to back…you done good Viking!!!!!
Thanks Brother 👊
Awesome setup Viking! Best of luck at the races 🏁
Thanks Aaron 🏁
Im patiently waiting for his yfz450r build 🤣🤣🤣
All kidding aside this is a sweet TRX 🤘
Thanks one wheel! I knew you had a little love for Hondas ❤️
Wow what a build! Good for you Viking chasing your dream. If I was younger I’d ask you to build my bike. Have a great race season 🙂
Thanks Peter!
we gotta get this channel to 100000!
Lol! It's not the size that counts...
OMG! That quad is GORGEOUS!
Hell yea man that thing came out sick! Best of luck this season. Ill be watching for updates 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks brother!
👀
Something to note on the DRW skid. The insert on one of ours in the very front popped out of the T after clipping a down-branch with the front of the skid. Luckily it just ruined the ride because we noticed it right away, otherwise it could have been a bad day had it ate into the ground at speed. Would be useful if he put some sort of slope at that front (similar to what other companies have done) vice it being a hard edge.
Wow! You turned that into a nice-looking race machine! Good luck to you this year.
Thanks KC!
Absolutely beautiful build!I love my 06 trx450er !very reliable bike!again beautiful build
Awesome build!!!!!!!
Thanks Eric!
That is a beautiful machine Viking 🤟
🤠 Thanks guys!
Awesome Machine! You should try building a Bombardier 650, My brother's was built for Baja(in like 2005), but its really old now and it still beats a brand new stock Outlander 1000r easily, but the handling on those machines suck compared to TRX, YXZ, or Raptor, yet the power is out of this world I bet that's why they don't make them anymore. (It was sold to him because the previous owner said it was a death machine)
We've been on the lookout for one.. If the right opportunity comes up we'd grab one, but that's not the kinda machine we'd want to do an expensive build on..
@@DirtObseXXion Yeah, the problem with those here in Mexico is that if the connecting Rod breaks, the fix is extremely expensive, and I have seen many with swapped engines, one with an old Kawasaki Ninja 1000 engine. Good luck on finding one ! (and be ready for some G's that feel like your arms will tear from your shoulders)
Nice build.
See ya at the races🏁
👍
Brent that quad is a beauty! Good luck this year! Ride hard and safe!
He just got 2nd in his class at King of the Mountain IXCR! He's running 💪
Awesome group of quads in this video... If Viking needs anywhere to store an R, I might be able to make some room.. I wont ride it of course..
Lol.. 👍👍👍

Thanks Doc! I trust you 👊
Sweet quad! I'm building an 07 almost exactly like yours. No suspension or powder coat yet though. You have excellent taste my man. I ported it, put a stage 2 cam, new bearings/seals. Hrc headpipe and a big gun muffler. Would love to send you a picture when I finish.
Yeah send us pics! IG: The_viking_do and Dirt ObseXXion or email us dirtobsexxion@gmail.com 🤘
Such an epic bike those Honda 450’s are. Nice build boys. 🔥🔥 Damn.
Thanks brother!
Now that is a build. Damn nice job looks great. Keep up the great work. Ride on n be safe
Thanks!
Good job on the build Viking. Looks good. I'm looking into the IXCR series in 23. Seems like a good series.
It's definitely a great series.. I think the Viking is planning it in 2023 too..
Looking good!
Thanks!
Nice, loving the sport atv content thanks for the effort!
Thanks brother
work of art. well done
Thanks!
Man I wish I still had my 06 450r
Any thoughts on the 2 person atv from can am or Polaris? My oldest son has a lot of special needs and in would love To include him in the fun of trail riding without buying a side by side. Appreciate your thoughts.
Just picked up my outlander 850 dps. Would like to ride with y’all, I’m in east Kentucky
Congratulations! That's a sweet machine.. Where do you ride out there?
That thing is super sharp!
Thanks Gils 🏁 wait until you see it in person
Very nice setup
🤘
Why did the Viking go with a trx and not a yfz?
Are there any cross country front ends that run the ltr geometry for the trx450r?
I've heard of some guys using the spindles from the ltr450.. Not sure what other geometry you mean but a 450r is never gonna feel like an LTR450
@@DirtObseXXion yes you have to use Suzuki ltr spindles, hubs, brake calipers, with A-arms, and steering stem built to ltr geometry, steering stem has the Suzuki tie rod ends as well.
Freaking awesome!!!!
🤘
What year motor you running?
I like your bike.. so nice
Thank you!
Nice honda 👌
Thanks!
Nice build! How can you describe the difference of your suspension upgrades from riding? I am also going to use LT Houser on my 450er. I got my A-arms and rear link now, just waiting to save enough for the shocks. The tax man took most of my savings this year and I am going to enter the season later.
From seeing your footage of racing, it certainly appears that you are going much faster than before. Great job.
Thanks! I’m still getting used to the setup from what I can tell the long travel increases arm pump but the suspension soaks up the roughness and handling is better 🏁
@@theviking4525 get your self a gyro ball and use it every day even if its just a minute per hand you can increase the time gradually.
Not sure what you do for practice riding i like to do mx practice days and run as many laps as i can usually i can get an hour in before the day is divided up into groups you can work up arm pump quick on a mx track and then work on riding threw it. You can do the same for a woods practice try and go for an 1hr non stop at a decent pace.
Any advice for a guy that wants to get his feet wet in gncc racing? I’ve been riding woods most of my life and want to see where I stack up in a series like this.
Yep! Start with a local series to see what it's all about andget your feet wet.. There's plenty of state and regional series that will be closer to home unless you have a GNCC really close by.. The local stuff isn't quite as crowded as a GNCC so you can make sure you have the endurance and get use to nose to tail riding in that setting.. Brent did two awesome builds for this year but last he ran a pretty stock 450r so you don't need to build a 20k wheeler to get started.. It's pretty much that simple.. Check the series website to see what the rules are about equipment and kill switches and then just go try it out!
The Viking's first couple races were brutal.. He got bad arm pump and had to take breaks during the race... This year he's running 3 series, he's winning his class in Extreme XC and running 3rd in his class at IXCR... Point is, even if you aren't crushing it at first, there's no substitute for getting better at racing then actually getting out and racing.. So don't get discouraged.. Run your race and set personal achievable goals and you'll see yourself improve! Keep us posted!
@@DirtObseXXion thank you for all the info! I’m in ct and there’s a few gncc races that happen around me in ny so that’s the goal to hit one or two of those next year. I used to have an 05 trx450r with roll design arms and nerf bars along with full Elka suspension and it was an animal in the trails. So now I’m trying to find one again. I still ride alot it’s just a lot more 4x4 quads now. Going to be 32 in a few months so I’m looking for a solid old man sport me and my family can do haha.
@@brandonsoto2160 NYOA is up there too..
@@DirtObseXXion I’ll look into that series as well!
So what chances do you think my Scrambler 500 has at this... ?
Being built like this, or racing this beast? Honestly 0 of either... There's just way more aftermarket support for a TRX450..
Are you recording any races this year?
Yeah, im getting clips of the ones I go to.. We aren't doing a video on every race but we have an update with race footage coming soon..
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
