I was driving my taxi around Oklahoma City today and was feeling quite depressed. I have known the love of God in my life, have felt his presence and his will so clearly. But that time passed and I have felt lost for some time. I pushed shuffle on my Petra spotify playlist this afternoon, something I have not done in a very long time, and God used one song after another to speak to me--a very real and clear dialogue. This song capped off the dialogue, and by the end of it I felt God's love once again, so very real and so very present, even in the midst of my seemingly endless desire to run from him. God loves us so very much.
You know a song has fulfilled its purpose when you begin to cry. The Holy Spirit breaks your heart and fills you with love and hope. I thank the Lord for giving us a band like Petra.
This song gives me the nostalgia about the careless life and happiness once I had as a kid. And nowadays, gives me a warm reminder of how great it is to praise Lord.
Very few bands in the genres of rock / punk / metal etc. had the boldness for Christ that Petra had, man. I Pray God raises up more like them in these last days who rock and shred in the Blessed Name of Jesus alone.

Listen to this song so many times when I was way from my wife when were were first married and I was sent to different duty stations while in the Navy. I still listen to it today to help me find my way home when I feel lost spiritually, when I feel like God has turned His face away from me.
