Man you are just out doing your thing oblivious that not one thing uses standard size sockets or wrenches! As old school as it gets I love it man keep getting after it!
S&B installed in my '18 5.0 and now in my '21 2.7. Have had K&N in '11 5.0, Volant in my '03 4.6 and Airaid in the '00 4.2. Although different engines the S&B by far best performing intake of them all.

Not worth comparing the two if you aren’t gonna test in the same conditions. The difference in temperature is gonna make more of a difference than the CAI will.
F150’s use a MAP based tuning system, you don’t even need the airbox if you want or could run an intake over the radiator open element if you wanted. Cold air’s are pointless on these, and any Mustang 2018+ Also, way colder air makes the test very skewed as someone else said.
I believe that if you do an INTAKE, EXHAUST AND A TUNE, you will gain power. You need the intake to draw more air with the intake being a supporting mod to the others. On a stock truck, the intake alone is not enough to make a difference, and will possibly perform worse.
I’ll never understand why you put 22” wheels on these dropped trucks, put some 17-18 and 45-50 aspect tire and 305 width. not only do you get more road comfort but smaller radial for more gains. Plus the aggressive street look.
He does trucks for content , he has to do multiple setups . I can promise it’ll have a little drag pack somewhat soon . Hopefully some WELD laguanas or s77s
Doubt you see this. But man get with PreAux tuning. Had a 21’ crewcab 5.0 4wd. And after having it tuned it freaking ripped. Definitely recommend Kris over there.
Yea Kris is a mad man. He tuned my 22 Crew Cab and it's night and day difference. I'm running his 91+ flex tune and also have his E85R send it tune. His customer service is unmatched. Hopefully they unlock the 24 ECU soon
Love my S&B on my 5.0! You need to get that thing tuned by Oz until you get a Whipple! Oz tunning with the CAI and some E85 will wake that truck up like you won't believe.
So to do a filter change do you have to completely remove the intake tube out of the box? Really considering getting one of these for my 5.0 purely for the sound but the factory filters so easy to remove that might be the deal breaker for me.
Not sure if you knew this or not, I just got my 24 xl and if you hit unlock twice on the fob your windows roll down. My 2021 xlt didn't do have this option.
I think cold air intakes make a difference. Do I think it’s enough to justify the $300-$400 price of the big name brands? No. But I think they make a difference. Using the same paper filter seems pointless because any improvement in gas mileage would be wiped out when you have to buy a new filter. Would be better off getting the washable reusable filter.
For the record anyone hating doesn’t watch you enough to know that we could be watch you do a million these on anything from a Nissan Altima to a F-350 SuperDuty and still be happy 😂
CAI's are not a performance mod its a sound mod only. This has been backed up numerous times on multiple dynos. Good tuners call them hot air intakes because the actuality increase iat's instead of lowering them. The factory air box can more than flow enough air than the engine can make power N/A. A drop in dry air high flow air filter will work better than that cai.
So ready for a whipple been watching for a long time and super happy to see how much the channel has grown
20 degree weather difference between the before and after. Colder weather definitely helps
I think that only really makes a big difference with turbo or super charged
@@jakobwithajeep5150colder air makes more power….regardless
Agreed.
came here to say this but yeah not hatin just a proven fact colder air denser air = more hp boosted or non
@@jakobwithajeep5150cold air is denser, denser air makes more power, even a stock car will run better in cold air.
How does chase not have more subs than he does?? This channel is awesome man

We have one for our 19 Ram. Great product.
Dang man your growing fast I remember subbing at 90k like a month ago

It looks good can’t wait for you to race it again
I’m loving the truck man can’t wait to see it beat Jakob’s duramax

Cornering sucks with more sidewall
Your idea sounds like an ugly truck
@@txkingggood thing this is a truck & not a togue rig.
@Kennybeachum what?
My personal opinion it’s money well spent it works
Can't wait for the whipple🔥🔥
I heard the BANKS POWER Pedal works pretty good with fords as well for better throttle performance
Once the trucks tuned the throttle response improves, whenever they unlock it.
This truck looks so good
That’s impressive! That calculates to 404hp up from 369hp if my weight is correct! 4392lbs?
You should throw a little bite of E in there, boostedf150 said E30 seems to be a good amount for the 24's.
I put an intake on mine and tuned it and noticed an
nice difference in performance nothing crazy lol
Keep up the good work 👍.
I have a jlt on my 2018 5.0 and it's noticeable difference
love yur content man. 100%

Can’t tune a ‘24

No custom tunes for a 2024 yet.
stock intake is breathing thru one straw. Modified, now it is breathing thru ten straws ... much better
🔥
I love your vids bro

Please do this truck a favor & get this thing tuned by Lund racing.
More Larry content !!

Seem like every time you need to replace the filter you have to take that plastic tube out of it?
have you heard any squeaking from the 3/5 IHC kit? I've heard different things and am currently searching for a drop kit for my 22 SCSB
So far no noises
You could have just yeeted out the old stuff you had on your blue fl50 and transfer to this one.

f150’s use MAP sensors, you can run a filter directly on the throttle body if you want.
For the record anyone hating doesn’t watch you enough to know that we could be watch you do a million these on anything from a Nissan Altima to a F-350 SuperDuty and still be happy 😂
I can’t be the only one who seen the spark when he started it under the hood?
Wooo
Plz do a turbo next
I put a whipple on mine 👍🏻
2024 model doesn’t need a whole new intake just a filter swap.
How are you averaging 20mpg? My 23 rcsb 5.0 averages 16mpg.
What boots do you wear in your videos? I'm looking for a new pair and yours are slick
He made a video about them, you should check it out.
Is there a such thing as straight pipe intake
Like an over the radiator straight out to a bell mouth?
I would rather get the oiled filter.
Temperature outside made more difference than anything
Yep cais are just for RUclipsrs 😂
Do bigger throttle body help hp?
Larry video when?
gotta get rid of them ambers
I think the next truck should be a third gen Cummins
No gains on this mod!!!
Wether it works or not who cares it looks much better than stock in my opinion

How much mileage do you have on the old girl now
I just seen your comment as I was watching the video if you look at timestamp 3:26, lower right hand side you’ll see the mileage , have a great night
@Cjo0211 there is no mileage at 3:26
@ I could’ve sworn there was, I’ll double check the timestamp and edit it
@@Cjo0211 its actually here 9:00 at the bottom right corner on the screen
Bro just get the supercharger
