I’ve had my blue BB58 for 2 1/2 years now & it’s on my wrist every day. You and a couple other RUclipsrs were the reason I got it! I love it! Thanks. I miss your videos, Elle…they are really well done!
I've just come home wearing my new Tudor Black Bay 58, sometime you find something that looks like it was made just for you! I can't stop looking at it, thank you for your work, I love your presentation..
At 1:16 you show what a responsible person you are. A Luxury watches are extravagant purchase and should only be done with careful consideration. Congratulations !
That brown leather nato matches so well with the navy blue colour. Killer combo! Congrats on attaining your grail watch and it really looks stunning on you.
Congratulations on the acquisition of you grail watch. A brilliant watch with a classic design, a modern movement at a decent price for a COSC chronometer. I have the black dial version as I already have a couple of blue dial divers. I have to agree with your comments on the Oris as well. The Aquis 41.5 that I have is super comfortable, readable and modern for an integrated bracelet piece that I'm not planning to sell in the foreseeable future.
Elizabeth you have an absolutely great taste - I have 20 Rolexes , an Ap Chrono and two omega moonwatch but the Tudor black bay 58 blue is the watch I always wear even when sleeping .it’s perfectly proportioned and that understated blue dull colour is easy to live with . So glad it’s not a hyped over retail price watch because it’s actually the perfect watch for most sports diver connoisseurs .A brilliant watch reminding me of the the 79190 old Tudor submariner .
as i am a tudor collector. i really appreciated your enthusiam in talking about the 58 with blu dial which i obviously i already have in my collection. enjoy your watch
I hadn’t paid attention to Tudor until I saw this specific watch recently (I’m late to the show) and it knocked my socks off. This is a really good looking watch.
Firstly thank you again for a brilliant video. The Tudor Black Bay Bronze is my grail watch and yeah it'll be my first serious expensive watch, but as you know that itch never goes away and eventually it's gotta happen. You can keep the Rolex's I think Tudor are so fresh and the quality is sublime. I can't wait to join your club and finally own one!! ❤
Of the pieces I have in my 10+/- collection, I have yet to purchase a diver. I’ve been researching endlessly and I keep coming back to this BB or it’s brother in Black. They’re just too good to ignore. Right in that sweet spot.
Just stumbled on this channel, love the videography and your commentary! My brother got himself a BB58 recently and after watching this I'm itching to get one too
I had the exact same thought process when I got my BB58 a few months ago. I chose the black one with bracelet it has warmer colors. It was the last one available at my AD and I was so afraid to try it in person, thinking it was just a dream that finally came true. I had an excellent experience there with the salesman. We talked about watches for hours over a cup of coffee. Plus, I got a little discount on my purchase. The only flaw on this watch this is a scratch magnet. When getting that out of my head, I enjoy wearing this watch so much.
1:16 i'm so happy someone finally adresses this. I hate it when people call Tudor "affordable". Okay its not a Rolex price but that still makes it a big deal right? Great vids, keep going!
Congrats, my Tudor BB58 is my favorite watch in my collection and I wear it daily. It has perfect proportions and reminds me of the four digit Sub that Sean Connery wore in the iconic, early 1960's James Bond movies. I love the aluminum bezel, which gives the watch real character and warmth. A tool watch and a piece of fine jewelry, it is the perfect watch for me. Subscribed!
I fully agree with your sentiments. Once the size got reduced I felt the hunger like I’ve never felt before! Alas I am yet to purchase it…. Congrats on yours 🎉
Congrats to your latest purchase! People were so much more comfortable with smaller watches despite their wrist size and I can tell the smaller watches are now coming back. Tudor knows this as well, hence Pelagos fxd, in which is my grail watch. I guess I will have to another 2 years before this watch become available.
Brilliant video, and nicely narrated. Looking to view more of your work. The BB is on my list to.buy, but they're close to impossible to purchase in my area. The blue is aurpringly nice and I love the traditional look of this timepiece. Well done, and congrats on your purchase.
Congrats on your Tudor! I picked up the panda 🐼 chrono last year as my first Tudor. Wow! Wasn't expecting that! I have big wrists, so the 39's don't work for me...which is good because the Pelagos is now on the list. They're like Pringles...can't have just one. Enjoy!
I've combed though the comments and everyone seems to be missing something very important - your hair looks awesome! 😂👏👏👏 Oh yeah and congrats on the new watch
Congratulations on acquiring the BB58 blue, it's a great addition to any collection. I like my blue dialed 58 so much I am on the waitlist for a BB58 black - can't wait.
Ohhhh, further down your Video i see you own the Railmaster in blue, gorgeous! I love my black Railmaster on all kinds of straps as the daily rocker! Appreciate your taste!
Great video! Love this watch, and love it on that leather NATO you have? Where’s that from? This is my favorite dive watch of everything I’ve seen over the past several years, and 2nd favorite watch all time, only second to my Speedy. I think they are the perfect complement to each other. I was in the exact same boat as you, always thought my grail is a DJ and now is an Explorer. And I also always needed a date, but no longer! I have the Speedy, saving for the BB58 Blue, and maybe decades from now and Explorer.
Nice review Elizabeth. You are absolutely right about Tudor, a lot of people have never heard of them. The most under estimated Swiss grail watch there is in my opinion. Enjoy the watch.
Excellent video and beautiful watch. I’m still where you were…prefer a date complication and a day is bonus. But I’m also coming around to symmetry bias, like you mention!
I thought by getting a BB58 GMT would help stem my insatiable appetite from getting more and more Seikos but it didn't work 😕 Love your reviews and how you express your opinion vis a vis other watches.
Still loving my black bb58. I wonder why the sapphire on it looks like plexi, it distorts like a plexi and oozes warmth with the dial. Every time i put it on i like it but after wearing it for a few days there are almost magical moments where the light plays with it and i see it in a completely new way making me enjoy it even more. Gorgeous piece 😁
Well done review and I can see the love u have for your blue BB58 in the compositional vignettes showcasing your latest baby. It’s really a pleasure to hear your take on what these time machines mean to you and the journey and appreciation from Oris to Seiko to Omega to Tudor. I wonder, but at some point would love to see your take on the dress watch when u take the plunge there. Best wishes.
I recently was given a BB36 silver dial as a retirement gift from my wife. I love it and wear it a lot, but my grail has always been a vintage (50s - 60s) Omega Seamaster Automatic. I finally found a good one at a reasonable price, and it gets the most wrist time. I also have a Seiko SARB017 Alpinist that I wear a lot. The Alpinist is the first watch I've purchased where I immediately bought a new strap because the faux alligator supplied by Seiko may be the worst strap I've ever seen on a watch that cost more than $100.
I had a Tudor years ago, I would have never made it through calculus without them. 😉. I clearly never had one for spelling. Seriously, I agree with the simple design attraction, clean looks remain classic and never disappoint or go out of style. Along those lines I’ve always wanted an IWC with a leather clasp. When I was looking at them with some serious thought, the models I liked were about $10k new. There was a watch store in the Waldorf in New York back then and I loved ogling them. I never pulled the trigger and haven’t since. I’ve considered some well priced used Reverso’s and lament not forking over the $750 for one I saw at a gun show. Another wonderful video E, always enjoy them.
Fantastic video with great cinematography. I tried the 58 several times, but so always find little things that annoy me and stop me from buying it. First is the lack of a date window, I find it useful in my job. Then is the fact that it has too many polished surfaces for a tool watch. Also I think the bezel should be ceramic at this price point and the dials are a bit too plain.
I stumbled across your channel by chance. I enjoyed your take on the blue Tudor BB58, which I have owned on the bracelet for almost a year. It's been my daily wearer. I love the Rolex related vibe, and the Tudor heritage but it stands on its own two feet IMO. I have the blue and the original gilt version as part of a pretty broad collection, including a classic Rolex Sub Date 16610 that I've owned for 20 years. Keep up the good work and I've subscribed to see more output.
@@TheTownWatch I'm very far down in the southern suburbs. I got it in New Jersey at an authorized dealer but I don't want to name them publicly quite yet. I've got some stuff going on that hasn't been fully hashed out.
Very cool! I understand about not wanting to share where you bought it! I was just curious that’s all… keep up the great work with your channel! You got an awesome thing going!!
This piece looks great on you, but nothing is sexier than my OG Tudor Heritage Black Bay with the Tudor rose and smile dial. I'm glad you're moving away from date complications - you've graduated to the next level. Also never say, "I'll never sell my ...." because when you sell a piece you once stated you would never sell... that's when you graduate up to the next level again.
Found a broken Tudor Ranger at a Pawn Shop for $495. Case was good, a few years old, some minor scratchers that buffed out, Total tear down, wasahed and lubricated, broken main spring replaced, fixed beat error +5 secs a day on the time grapher. Keeps good time. Back in January on line at the grocery store, woman in front of me notices the watch "A Tudor? Couldn't afford a ROLEX?" Actually, I do have 2 Rolex watches, one working after I repaired it and looks like new, but you don't wear a day date out in public, the second needs a new oyster case, crystal, back plate, crown and dial replaced. waiting for money for parts as I buy the part when I can afford to. As for the Ranger, I put it in one of my window cases and it has sat there ever since. I love the hunt for great watches for a song, usually damaged and broken, just needs tender loving care to bring them back to be loved again.
Thanks for the video! I love this model and recently tried it on - now I’m saving :) It would be perfect if it had blue lume, and a better clasp. Also, they should remove the spec sheet from the dial. We know the water resistance and we know it has been officially certified🤪. Anyway, great video and I still want one!
Congrats!!!!🥳That's a GREAT watch, I like them all. When I bought my BB36 silver dial I kind of anguished over whether to get the 36 or 58 and for me it came down to the bracelet. I'm just not a fan of the faux-rivets but after owning the BB36 for a while I still wonder if I made the right choice. I may trade for the black/ gilt with a few bucks down at some point but for now I'm going to spend some more time with the 36. Great work btw, your filming reminds me of You're Terrific. Actually I think its better.
Rolex/Tudor… Cannot go wrong. Perfect marriage of functionality, style, elegance and precision. Not to mention durability. Some day down the road, you’ll look back on this journey of acquisition, and undoubtedly conclude you needed only one. And it will no doubt be a Rolex.
One of those watches I really dislike, not a fan of Tudor (tho really like the North Flag, Ranger,Hydronaut & one or two others), but the BB is my Girlfriend's grail. Recent subscriber, genuinely impressed with your presentation and content, I'm sure your fresh perspective will see your channel balloon once others have cottoned on. Keep it up, Cheers from Fenland, England 👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent. My next watch might be a BB58 (or a Reverso, just depends), my trouble is deciding between the blue and the original. Oh and I'm pretty sure the bezel insert is aluminum, not stainless steel.
Yes, that's been pointed out, I don't know why I assumed it was steel. I don't know if I heard or saw it somewhere else or not but once it was in my head it was there to stay.
@@elizabeth_grant your Seiko has a stainless steel insert, it's sort of a new concept. As far as I know only Seiko does it on that particular dive watch (I forget the reference spb something, lol)
We have a very similar watch journey. My first watch in 2018 was a Hamilton Khaki King silver dial. And added a 18k 1964 Universal Geneve Polerouter Date Then a Black Bay Steel in 2020 (i prefer the date functions however - easier for me when I'm working) Then I added an 18k "Devil's Horn" Vacheron Constantin factory fluted bezel/ hand engraved. 2021 Tudor 1926 In between those a Seagull 1963, $500 vintage Zenith small seconds, and 5-6 Casio DW5600s and finally the DJ 41 Mother of Pearl diamond dial (2/22/22) that I've wanted ever since I was a little kid in the 90s seeing it on my dad's friend's wrists.
Congratulations on your Black Bay. Very nice looking watch. Always liked Tudor they are a great alternative to Rolex. I still like your Oris 65 bronze the best. That has become my grail watch. Cheers Ron

Recent subscriber, genuinely impressed with your presentation and content, I'm sure your fresh perspective will see your channel balloon once others have cottoned on. Keep it up, Cheers from Fenland, England 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much.
That blue is awesome. I had the gilt 58 but sold it because it was too small for me. I'm currently rocking the 41mm steel bezel heritage.
Very nice!
I don’t mind wearing a smaller watch, actually I have several and enjoy them on the regular. I can and do wear watches from 35mm to 44mm. Great video.
I love my 58 blue and wesr it everyday that i don't have my beater casioak on. Such a timeless and beautifully classic look
Funny, this was my Grail watch as well and I managed to get it about 4 months ago. My new Grail? Maybe ta vintage Tudor Sub or possibly a seamster.
And added a 18k 1964 Universal Geneve Polerouter Date
Then a Black Bay Steel in 2020 (i prefer the date functions however - easier for me when I'm working)
Then I added an 18k "Devil's Horn" Vacheron Constantin factory fluted bezel/ hand engraved.
2021 Tudor 1926
In between those a Seagull 1963, $500 vintage Zenith small seconds, and 5-6 Casio DW5600s and finally the DJ 41 Mother of Pearl diamond dial (2/22/22) that I've wanted ever since I was a little kid in the 90s seeing it on my dad's friend's wrists.
Congratulations on your Black Bay. Very nice looking watch. Always liked Tudor they are a great alternative to Rolex. I still like your Oris 65 bronze the best. That has become my grail watch. Cheers Ron
yes, that's a good watch.
The brown nato strap looks amazing. Where can we order it?

@@elizabeth_grant 💌Thank you!!
I agree, the aluminum bezel adds warmth to the watch and gives it character, it wouldn't look as good with a ceramic insert.
