First welcome to egypr .. second about the selfies i will tell u why .. most of egyptians are simple people who were born and raised there and never been to other countries so when they see tourists speak different langause it is almost as seeing the same people in movies but now it is in reality in their blood and flesh so this is something exciting to them .. so be sure if u still thete now in egypt that every time u are at local areas u will see people give u that smily welcoming face

Great question. A lot of people do that. It could be a good idea if you want the history of the sites while you're there. I just made sure I studied a lot beforehand so we wouldn't need one. So we didn't have one. I was basically our tour guide 😂

Not at all. We found flights for about $550 roundtrip. Hotels were very cheap. You can find amazing deals on very nice hotels. And food is also very affordable. As is attractions and transportation
This question might sound a bit crazy but, can you physically touch the pyramids? I only ask because I hear it's illegal to touch the stones in Stonehenge and I don't want to get in trouble.
Yep, we have had many tour guides literally serve us up on a plater to someone hawking something to sell. It's not the prices that makes me mad it's the fact they will sell you broken merchandise. I bought a what I thought was a Menorah but it's a Hanukiah with one of the arms broken off.
You do not need a test if u are "fully vaccinated", right, to enter the country? That is what I have read. Good to hear they are more relaxed than some other people around the globe......sounds like a place for me.
Correct. Another viewer informed me that the policy has been updated to include that. It was not the case when we went though. You will still need one to come back to the US though. But it really was great to be there and almost never have to worry about wearing masks.

The Pyramid valley Boutique Inn offers spectacular views of the Pyramids and sits right next to the entrance. As for Sharm, you can't go wrong there so many great hotels. We talk about it in Sharm El-Sheikh video, but we stayed at the Hilton at sharks Bay.
Yes welcome to egypt i live here the last 6 months and LOVE it here :) overwhelming at first but its now home. Pyramids is a fun day out always especialy when u know how to deal with anyone trying to rip u off. Nowadays i get a camel ride for 100 pounds for 1 hour haha!

Name of hotel and cost of room? Cost of flight to and from Egypt? Best way to pay for goods and services while there? Thank you for posting this video and I look forward to your reply. Egypt is one place I wish to see, had this wish since I was a kid, especially the pyramids.
Vaccination is not required to enter Egypt. So no, they did not check for that. But I recommend you watch our video about getting to Egypt where we discuss the specific travel requirements Egypt has and the trouble we had. We stayed at the Novotel at Cairo Airport. We got a suite with a living room so it ran us about $130/ night. But the hotel we were going to stay at overlooking the pyramids was only $60/ night. The flight was about $520/ person. Unfortunately most places only accept cash. All the tourist sites only accept cash. There are plenty of ATMs around so that won't be difficult to get cash out. But if you're interested in visiting Egypt you can also reference our other videos if you want all the tips and tricks we learned. Thanks for watching!

Honestly ive never been scammed at the pyramids. Act like an egyptian. Haggle. Speak a tiny bit of arabic then no one will scam u. I got a camel ride for 2 for 100 egp €5. The people arent scammers they are trying to make a living, just treat them the way they treat u and dont be too polite to haggle and walk away if its too much.
Yeah i think it's just hard for Americans at first. I think we all want to know that we're paying a fair price that anyone would pay. Haggling is not in most of our nature.

Yes you can. You can't climb them, but we saw a few people stand on the lower level stones for a picture.

That's great! Yeah I agree it can be very overwhelming if you're not expecting it. But once you understand the culture of it it's not too bad.
