  • Bess is diagnosed with Williams syndrome, a genetic condition that is known for causing a friendly and happy personality. Her favorite thing to do is play “Dinosaurs” with her younger brother as the two stomp and roar together. Bess hopes that everybody in the world is happy and wants others to know if you feel sad you just have to dance to feel happy again.

No, the problem theoretically is , being focussed on happiness all the time is not realistic. Its not about the downsides of some things it's about being unaware or less avware of living in the balanced side. She will miss the part of life which is real. Ie sad and happy both. It's like not living in a real world.

@@sushs7991 it totally is a real world to live in. she just doesn't require sitting with the negatives in life in order to value the positives whereas most of us need that contrast, and that's cool as hell. every world view on planet earth has positives and negatives for survival and experience but i think being constantly happy and lovey is one of the more pleasant ways to be.

i'm always glad to see people bringing up that one video or representation of a disorder is never the whole picture. my conditions are the same way, people think they're fun but they're actually really difficult. it's good that people want to focus on the happy parts to help with stigma, but we don't want people to think it's all fun and games either.

      Stay strong!
And the better people are informed and familiarized with people that are different, the better it will get for us disabled folks.
Also, the joy the interview with people that have Williams syndrome have brought into my depressed heart is absolutely priceless. I can only imagine just how many peoples days have been made so much brighter by meeting someone as cheerful as we've seen in these interviews. If you died TODAY, where would you be spending eternity? Have all your sins been forgiven or are you still hoping that you're a good enough person to earn a spot in heaven.
The reality is that no one can earn a spot, our sin disqualifies us. But the God news is that Jesus paid for our qualification by dying on our behalf taking the punishment that we deserved.
JESUS said, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son; that WHOEVER believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
Nothing is more important than your eternal destination. Please, don't say, "When I get older I'll get right with God' or 'I'll get serious with Jesus one day when I'm ready.'
Don't wait any longer, today is the day of salvation. Get right with God today, for tomorrow very well might be too late.
We invite you to REPENT and accept that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life by praying this simple prayer out loud right now...
'Heavenly Father, I turn away from my old life and repent for my sins. I believe that Jesus came for me, that Jesus died for me and that Jesus rose again for me so that I can be forgiven and receive eternal life. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, receive the gift of eternal life. I ask you to fill me with the Holy Spirit and lead me for the rest of my life. In Jesus name - Amen.

He's nice to everyone and always seems to happy, somehow even remaining optimistic after his father passed away. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, William's syndrome tends to come with a ton of medical issues and could be very challenging. I use to work with a "young" lady with Williams Syndrome... she was a sweetheart and I loved her running down the hall when she heard my voice and yell "There he is, there he is." She was so amazing. I miss my friend.

A girl I went to middle and high school with has Williams Syndrome. She was fully accepted by everyone and was such a joy to be around. There were so many times in those years of growing up that it was easy to feel sad or frustrated, but her positivity was so infectious. I hope she's doing well.

One of my best friends has Williams. I knew him for years before I ever knew he had it. I just always thought he was super positive and because of that I enjoyed hanging around with him. It wasn't until he had to go to the doctor for his heart that I found out, because he said it had to do with his Williams Syndrome. If he didn't tell me, I would have never known. He's a blast to be around.

My nephew has William’s Syndrome. He had an amazing vocabulary from a young age! He makes me feel so loved. He always gives me tons of compliments & says he loves me. When they were doing the “bah bah bah” thing and Chris was getting sadder & sadder she brought it back up to happiness.

I figured he wanted to understand her potential to emote on a scale , and she wasn’t as willing ( at least in that moment ) to go low vibe , or express it , granted there are so many variables even outside of the Williams , you have that she’s aware she’s filming , she’s genuinely excited to meet her new friend , and she genuinely having a blast - so , it’s a lot !

Bess wanted to send a message of love and thanks for all the kind words and messages ! 🙏🏻💖
She is overjoyed at the magnitude of people who have shared how her words and laughter have touched their lives. ☀️
Bess is a very happy child - but also faces sad times / bullying / hard days like the rest of us. It’s amazing people like Chris and Alyssa and people like YOU that help her to share about her journey and support her in knowing it’s -ok- to simply be Bess! ☀️
Brother Rogue feels so included and appreciated for his role as her “big” little brother - he smiled from ear to ear reading about how much people could see his love for his sister.
As a mom and dad who have slept in ICU beds - driven to the ER at all hours of the night - been to countless doctors - physical and speech therapy appointments- we want you to know just how MUCH seeing the love for our girl has made us see the world really IS a good place - like Bess says ! 💖🌳 🌎 Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Bess will be posting on her Instagram page - @gobessgo
