In my opinion, if it comes in at the right price, and it does everything it did in the video series I think it will be the future of modern American AKs.
A spotter that’s used to seeing dirt fly is the best. Someone without experience has difficulty reading the dirt kicked up into the air. I remember losing my patience after 10 rounds trying to zero it to 100 yrds. I became the spotter that day.
I loved how you filmed the accuracy test. It was like 9holereview. But you also added your Reticle and your hold over in the video, which is something I really liked. I have always wanted to that in more videos, and I believe you are the first person I have seen do it.
Does anyone else see original Nintendo Mario watching these videos? My dude, you remind all of us in the Yorktown VA crowd of Mario from the Nintendo NES. That’s a compliment.
Damn I wish I would have grabbed some of that subsonic AK ammo when it was semi plentiful! I'm currently waiting on my very first can, and could definitely use some decent subsonic ammo...
The acss raptor is the best bdc hands down. I have the og in a 1-6x and the raptor m2 in a 2.5-10x. the raptor m8 is the newest and it fixes the one issue I had with the predecessors which was lack of windage holds at zero elevation. Demitri is a legend
I’ve had some good luck with the Hornady 255gr subsonics running fairly reliably with a KNS in my Sam7 with a YHM Resonator. They are like the BB and don’t stabilize very well, but they are movie quiet.
What i would love to see with this rifle is a side folder trunnion with a m16 buffer tube and maybe a shorter handguard with an adjustable sight/gas block. I know the gas block is already adjustable, but i just like having an AK iron sight. I do think they should do a base model in a version like mark sent you and then have an "upgrade" version. I feel like a dork now that im reading as im righting, but id like an "ak12 done right" purely based on how aesthetically pleasing the ak12 is. I think whoever could make an american ak12 would do well because no one is really trying to do that even though we all know we want an ak12.
I had. No doubt about it..I took an ak class with the krebs crew , extremely accurate guns...one guy was hitting the target at 400..no even an expert shooter
Owning several examples of his handiwork, I'm a bit of a Krebs connoisseur, and I am soooooooo liking this M23. Though a 7.62x39 version of this rifle will be in my collection when available, I really hope that he'll make a 5.45x39 version as well as I have a lot of 7n6 that needs to be burned. Since Marc is an out-of-the-box thinker when it comes to AK's, I am truly surprised that it took him this long to devise an adjustable gas system.
How is Golden Tiger ammo? I heard you mention Royal Tiger but have never heard of that brand, but looks to be Romanian ammo from my searches. I have a few cases of Golden Tiger but not sure of the quality of it...
Question and comment: 1. How well did the handguard mitigate heat when shooting suppressed? Did you have to wear a glove after 1-2 mags? 2. A 10 shot 100 yard group would have been enough to prove its accuracy. I think you went above the call of duty shooting at 600 yards, but it mostly showed the limitations of 7.62x39 not the rifle…….but just imagine how it would perform in 6.5 Grendal 😊
Haven’t had a lot of experience with AKs. I used to own a Zastava M70 with all SLR upgrades. It shot great but weight distribution was weird. I have a chance to grab a Meridian Pestilence for a decent price but thinking of waiting for this. What do you think?
The only way 7.62 is going to have comparable accuracy to 5.56 is through a bolt action. To compare a 55 grain bullet that’s moving faster to a 124 grain that’s moving slower isn’t really fair. 5.56 is effectively a necked up .22 there is a reason why the military is switching off it to 6.5.
I Knew It! P.A. Acss Reticle Raptor x 3 - in- 7.62x39. I watched the Creator,9 Hole and others to learn the Retical ,they showed how the wind holds and the 8mph outer halo Hold for a perp on the Move! I put one on my M90 : ). Thanks Always KLAYCO47 I am going to guess the 1" barrel. reduc. and the Compensator may have been part of the culprit going to 600 w/ this rifle on this particular Day!
Looks like the BDC was way off since it looks like you were 6-8" low at the 100 yard. This made every shot progressively worse/low the further out you went. I'm guessing you only had 1 box of the federal and didn't want to use ammo to rezero the rifle.
Yea man I don't kno why you have such a problem with hitting with the subs. Be I never had a problem with my m70-m92 romie parts kit by Atlantic Ruger American bolt gun 100 yards easy and 300 after a few rounds to figure out my hold. With the m70 and Ruger.
Pffff! A well zeroed AK-47 can reach out there and hit that target! The Tavor and the AK-47/AKM get far less respect than they should have earned! Congrats to the shooter! 🥇🎯
Nah, you're just ignorant to facts and easily susceptible to fudd lore. You're too nervous to tell your dad hes wrong about AK's because he might raise his voice at you and call dumb like he has done so many times before. You only put up with it because mom's not around anymore, and he's all you have. The unfortunate side effect is it's made you lash out at sensible people saying sensible things because it makes you feel small and inferior. I honestly feel sorry for you. I hope it turns around.

You're right up there with Rob Ski, in my book, in that you both have proven to us the capability and reliability of the 7.62x39 round. Good work!
Thanks for allowing me to hang out Klay. Keep up the great content!

Amazing job Mark. Thank you for making this new 7.62x39
Your welcome

7.62x39 has been my deer round for years. Love the Krebs guns!!!
Klay says goodbye, 'Closing Time' starts playing, Klay fails to hold back tears as the Krebs M23 fades away
It's amazing how the handguard being a new original creation still looks AK. NICE!
That handguard should be on all aks.
So waiting for this gun to be available for the masses. Definitely wanna see that 5.56 variant when it comes in.
Cycling just enough to pick up a round with those subs. That thing is schweeeet. Great video as always

I run a 200 yard zero with my PA 1-6 ACSS scope. S&B or PPU is loaded faster or some of the Yugo ammo to stretch out to 500+ yards.

556 model available on Kreb's site. No mention of the jam nut for the muzzle device. I wonder why?

I’d like to know if he’s going to also offer a shorty version if the rifle length is popular? This looks like an absolutely fantastic AK.
He hasn't said anything about a potential shorty yet, At least not to me.
I would assume so, just based on their past releases.

Well, hopefully it comes with the handguard .
It will
In one of your other videos. Did you say mark was going to have the production models with more gas settings? Or am I fabricating that in my memories?
It was going to be a possibility and still is a possibility
Was the optic zero'd with the AE ammo? It looks like you were a few inches low at 100 and that would explain the BDC being so off farther out

Good shooting but your zero for a 16” or close to it is 50 yards not 100 as per instructions
OSS cans are where its at for AKs. I just need a 556 ak to run my 556 oss can on

Slate Black industries has some of the best accessories for the money!!!

You know I could see something like that happening.
Can you use the KNS piston in it to fine-tune the gas even more?
Sure I suppose you could.
Any plans for a forged reciever version?

5.45 ammo at the very least cost almost 80 cents a round rn. Ak 74 owners are in shambles.
