Funan is also the front runner of the Si Li Fo Chi Srivijaya Kingdoms in the Malay Peninsula and the Sumatera Island. The Sailendra Family is one of the Royal Court of Funan. When they were ousted by Chenla out of the Mekong Delta end of the 6th century, they moved to the Peninsula and the islands to begin the Srivijaya empire early in the 7th century. The timings for the end of Funan and the beginning of Srivijaya are not just mere coincidence.
Funan (Phnom) and Kampu (Chenla) were the same Khmer family speaking the same Khmer language. Funan wanted to change its religious from Hindu to Buddhism, but Chenla refused, so they went to war. Funan lost war to Chenla, some royal family of Funan escaped to Java. Later became the Sailendra. King Bhuvavarman who reigned for Chenla after the fall of Funan in the 6th century, the King was half Funan and half Chenla. In the end of 7th century, the Sailendra who was the descendants of Khmer Funan came to attack Chenla for revenge. And they took some of the Chenla royal family to Java. In the beginning of the 8th century, King Jayavarman II left Java and came to Chenla reuniting both Funan and Chenla to establish Khmer Empire. King Jayavarman I was the King of Chenla, so King Jayavarman II from the Sailendra of Java was a descendant of Chenla and Funan.

@@subhenduparida8091Agree. Yes, very true. The early history of the foundation of Cambodia are found in the ancient texts of India: The 10th canto of Sirmad Bhavatam and Bhagavat Purana. The texts mentioned the birth of "Kambuja-Desa" (Cambodia) and the dynasty that ruled it called the "Kamboja Dynasty".
