I learned the differences of 3 nasal sounds through this video, and I sincerely appreciate your channel since I learn British English pronunciation but not so many videos in RUclips.
Billie, I usually do not write comment under RUclips videos but I just wanted to say a huge thank you, they are very helpful. You have a gift of putting things clear :)
Thank you very much. You really saved me. I thought it was very difficult. Now it has become very, very easy. I appreciate your efforts. You are really amazing.
First thank you. Your vedios are so helpful. Well I have a phonetics exam soon please is it required to involve the NON SSBE places and manners of articulation in the lconsonants chart.Thank you in advance
@@BillieEnglish should we include non SSBE places of articulation and manners of articulation like retroflex trill tap lateral fricative and so on in the IPA consonant chart Thank you
I 've been learning English for years and I always feel there's something wrong with my nasal sounds, especially when I listen to how black people speak. Finally get how these sounds are prounced in your video ❤
How are you, my dear, you do not know me, but I know you very well. Are you still with Muhannad Al-Iraqi, and how are you in English? I think you are now in the second stage.
Hi Nouran, thank you for your kind comment. What topic in phonology are in interested in? I have covered already quite a lot of topics in ym videos on my channel but I am also happy to receive suggestions!
I have a doubt to ask. I struggle pronouncing words and syllables that start and end in the same sound. For eg. Type 1 difficulty Mum, Nun, Rar, bulb, peep etc. Type 2 difficulty Assistance ( A'ssis'tance ) Remember ( Re'mem'ber ) Etc. Type 3 difficulty is. When a word contains letters of N, L, D in the middle or end. I struggle pronouncing the words clearly. I mumble or mispronounce most of the times. Is it because of similiar positioning of tongue for the letters ? I'll be very thankful if someone clears my difficulties and how i should practice to master my pronunciation in difficult words?
Welcome Please help, I need research about nasal consonant One of the paragraphs mentioned the destrbutio of nasal consonant, where is its location in the sentence and the addition to the phonetic writing, and I do not understand what is meant

Do the vowels have a nasal sound when we have the consonant N in a syllable?
I have a doubt to ask. I struggle pronouncing words and syllables that start and end in the same sound.

Type 1 difficulty Mum, Nun, Rar, bulb, peep etc.
Type 2 difficulty
Assistance ( A'ssis'tance )
Remember ( Re'mem'ber )

These are the rules of /ŋ/ in phonetics.?
It's more an explanation of the sound: how it is formed, typical spelling, in which words it occurs etc.
No nasal vowels? Is tt just a portuguese thing?
The Pronounciation of last nasal is quite difficult
When you say /g/ or /k/ straight after, your tongue will automatically move into the right position. Try it!
E.g. sink, think, rink ...etc
i really struggle to say mean instead of meme
Punny ?
You said, punny..
All english sounds like people are talking through their nose.
Not really ... English vowels are usually not nasal, but in French you have many!
@@BillieEnglish As a Swede,, it sure sounds like it for me. All of the American dialects.
It's a great video
Thank you so much
We need you explain the consonant sequences

Hello! Yes, I'll soon be publishing a video on consonant sequences/ clusters so keep an eye out for it! :-)
