I am sorry for people like you who can't appreciate a son eulogising his father in such a brilliant and poinient manner. Watch this video again and tell me you aren't moved. If you didn't watch this video, you are missing one of the best speeches/eulogies ever!!!!

Watch George W Bush eulogizing GHW Bush. It was really touching. Fathers and sons. Teddy was left so many children and responsibilities that many can’t fathom. He never expected 3 older brothers to die and his father stroked out. He was in his 30s when this happened. I have no doubt he carried Mary Jo around the rest of his life. And he likely tortured himself over it. I’m a conservative and I admire how he hung in there and kept helping people. Time tells the truth of people. Ted wasn’t a showboat. He made a difference to no benefit to him.

I loved your father. Everything he went through continued to hold my fascination over the years. You are so lucky to have had him in your life.. you just made him proud with outstanding words. So down to earth...good stock. I am grateful to have listened to you. You have turned into the kind of person he would be so happy that you are carrying the torch for him, for you and for us all. Wonderful speech. Heartfelt and courageous, buoyant and emotional yet it maintains that Kennedy trait of service to others. You nailed it. God bless you and your family....

I can relate to Teddy JR story…I am dyslexic and I was told by a teacher when I told my classmates I wanted to be a nurse…the teach told me that I was not intelligent to go to college! It devastated me! After not sleeping because I knew it was my parents dream that my sister and I would go to college, I confessed to my mother what my teacher said. My mother without hesitation said to me Heidi, I know you will do it, you have the gift of determination, without that gift even the smartest person will not be successful. It was hard work by I have been 36 years registered nurse with my bachelor degree. My parents were fantastic with advice and encouragement and have encouraged my children, co-worker, and nursing student thru the years.

Beautiful & moving eulogy for a truly great man, who so thoroughly redeemed himself & atoned for his early-life blunders that he deserves the respect & gratitude with which he will be remembered. My favorite part was the priceless lesson of how he built up Ted Jr's confidence & resilience after losing his leg at age 12 & taught him how to survive it & live his life. Very inspiring!

Ted Kennedy Sr. gave one of the most famous eulogies ever heard when he spoke at his brother Bobby's service in 1968. I believe that, today, his son has done every bit as well, because he eulogised his father by recalling a rare, and moving moment that affected his life on such a personal level. Ted Sr. must be so proud. RIP

Why is it that every time I hear one of the Kennedys speak, no matter which one of them, they leave such an indelible impression, no matter what the subject? One can't help but almost hang on every word they say. Don't get me wrong, I am aware of this family's flaws but God they are all so eloquent, confident, oozing greatness but grounded. An amazing family, a cut above the rest although they never come across as feeling that way. I have no words to describe it exactly. "Full of class" is an understatement.

I am from Malaysia nt a Catholic. Listening to Ted jr inspirational eulogy abt his beloved dad ted sr. His speech sbt moral obligation, honour and dignity. To treat WTH respect equally to the ppl of any background . To.learn to love, like , respect our rival and opponent to believe in what we do. Have faith nvr give up. Believe that we can achieve our goal and nothing impossible and we can do it. WTH all pain and heartache there will still be hope. Which he meant our dream will come true. It really motivate me now. WTH all my heart I want to thank ted kennedy jr for making me believe that I will achieve my target to upgrade myself and believe I can still hang on.my dream WTH the believe I will.lead a much better life and be successful one day. Yr family Mr Kennedy embraced strongly in the upbringing of being devout Catholic. Teach good deeds. And as a Muslim I really respect all of the Kennedy. May Lord bless u and the member of yr family. Though, at my present age of 53, I’m not sure I completely understand my tears and my related sense of sadness. Maybe it’s just a parent thing.

@ConservativeInk had a drink in front of him at public events & he supported Bush initially over kicking a drinking habit) and he'd fixed his life. His legislative record has had many times the impact of most presidents. By the time I was born sir the whole Chappaquiddick mess was 20 years in the past and privately I think the guy atoned for his mistake from that day forward. He got his comeuppance and came out the other side. He was a great man.

Bottom Line: Senator Kennedy was tried and given a sentence for failing to report the accident immediately. If you don't like the sentence, your resentment belongs with the court.
