    All excellent points Phil! Relieve the tension in the body, relax the grip, wrists, and forearms and let the club do what the manufactures designed the club to do, without golfer manipulation, and with a little assist from gravity. Well Done Sir!

    So, not only about this video, but for all, I am in my mid 60's and started playing again 4 years ago. After about the 12th hole my back was shot. Could barely finish the rounds, let alone stay down on the ball. After watching from Julian and Brian through to Phil and Sean, I bought the book, the swing caddie and followed the program to the T. No back pain, pure shots with acceptable distance and rarely a wayward shot. You have to eliminate the urge to "kill" the ball. I finish my rounds with no pain , use the same ball for the entire rounds ! Its simply an easier way to play consistent golf. Those in my golf league always compliment me on my easy swing. They also cant believe how far I hit the ball with so little effort. It takes a "mind set". But I urge everyone to stay with it. It works. This isnt a commercial for Easiest swing, just a payback for these guys helping me get back into the game. Search the old vids with Brian and Phil drinking wine and just talking. Good stuff.

      Hi Tony I apologise for not responding sooner but I was really blown away by your comments. Firstly, I am delighted to hear that ES has helped you to eliminate that debilitating back pain and that by following our program you have learned to stop killing the ball and have discovered your own authentic swing. It great to hear that others are recognising that you are not following convention but are finding an easy and powerful swing. Your comments are quite literally what inspires us to keep going and Brian who started this all off would be delighted to know the effect his ideas and concepts are having on golfers even after he has gone. I posted your text onto the Club for our members to see as it will even inspire our closest followers. So a very big thank you and I hope our paths cross one day or maybe you decide to join too so we can talk more. You certainly made my day Philip.

    So I shot my worst round in months today, 19 stablefords. Spent the round stressing over positions, wrist angles, weight shift blah blah blah. I realised on the 18th tee I could not recall a swing where I had finished in balance per this video. So I went to the range and decided to hit a bucket with only one aim - the club had to touch the back of my neck on the follow through. I hit PW up to driver. What a difference. 90% of the shots went dead straight, all good distance. So easy and free, thanks for the video.

      I am able to get up to 81 mph from the halfway position. However, I still can’t break 97 mph when I take a full swing. I try to go back and forth between the two swings hoping it will translate into greater clubhead speed but it doesn’t. I realize that when I just my hands at just about halfway, to get the 81 I have to pretty much concentrate on loose wrists and all most throwing the club head through impact.
      But, when I take a longer swing, no matter how hard I try not to move my lower body that much, feel like it’s what’s slowing me down. Isn’t it reasonable to expect that I should be able to achieve over 100mph clubhead speed on a full swing, if I’m at 81 just using my hands from waist high? I still haven’t been able to get to a driving range yet, because I’ve been on the road for work so much (I take my hole-in-One on the road with me).
      Also Philip, I haven’t measured it yet myself, because I have been on the road, but I do also have the Swing Caddy Pro at home, which is longer and more flexible. Would I get a higher swing speed with that as a result? Is the Hole-in-One closer to an iron club head speed and the Swing Caddy a Driver? Thanks you in advance for your time.
      I’ve been meaning to post this for a while.

    As I watch you swinging and hitting the balls I try to visualize and feel what I do as I swing. Even with a relaxed and tension free swing I think that my dominant thought is to make contact with the back of the ball instead of just a smooth swing to a good finish as you have demonstrated.

      Hit some shots with your eyes closed and this will help. You’ll discover the less focus you put on the ball the better you will hit it. 👍

    That drill with your feet together and just using your wrists reminds me of my old golf teacher Lionel Platts ( ex Ryder cup player ) who used to get me to do this as he felt that the hands were so important in the golf swing.
    Sadly Lionel died in 2021. R.I.P. Lionel - you were an excellent player and teacher.

    I’ve tried your tips and advice. Can’t get the lifting the heel in the backswing at all. End up coming over the top or just duffing the ball. Obviously doing something wrong. Easiest swing does appear to be a good approach though 😊

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  Месяц назад

      The concept of allowing the heel to raise is to allow a better turn of the hips and shoulders - some people don’t change this but just lift the heel. This often leads to the results you mention. This could be the problem so put your attention here and see how you get on. Good luck and thanks for the compliments 👍

    It's so weird, I have only been golfing for 4 months, and I try and swing completely relaxed. And even if I hit it pure, I cannot go over 100 yards with my 3 iron. I must be doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out why. Good thing I am going to Canterbury in 5-6 weeks.

    One thing happening lately is I'm on the back side of greens, or just off, especially if the pin is deep. Then I hit into the same trap twice and I could only get close to it before. So, the ball is going about 10% further though it feels like I'm swinging it easier.
    Trying to use one club higher than normal so an 8 instead of 7, etc...

    I am always confused about the release. Is the releasing of the clubhead an active thing you are doing? When I let the club go where it wants I don’t get that crossover look the better golfers have.

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  Месяц назад +1

      Imagine I was standing directly in front of you while you merely swing your lead arm from 4 - 8 on a clock face. When you are at 8 (assuming you are right-handed) the back of your hand will face me and when you get to 4 I would see your four fingers wrapped around the club with your palm behind (in other words the back of your hand will now be 180° from where it was. Practice this motion regularly and you will build the feel of releasing (and accelerating) the club through the ball. You’ll notice the face rotates through this action and many golfers prevent themselves from doing this fearing this opening and closing action but all good golfers do this (with a degree of variance). Hope that gets you on track!

    What motion do you use to make it snap. What is the motion of your wrist?

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  5 дней назад

      Similar to my last answer it’s a question of letting go of control or force and allowing the club to swing freely. The wrists will hinge and release naturally if you don’t interfere with them.
