Great conversation with a very educated laid back officer. He came across as knowledgeable and polite. Loved the reactions of the two ladies in the store posing for the camera. Not so much the entitled dickhead sitting in his convertible or the hat/mask rude guy who demanded to know why you were filming. Great job Jason and Ben!!!

I'm proud to call Josh one of my closest friends and I can tell you he was being genuine in everything he said. Absolutely awesome person and so happy to see everyone here acknowledging that.
I’ve seen a ton of these videos with quite a few officers and the interactions that go with them good and bad and I have to say this one is hands down the BEST officer I have seen. We definitely need more officers like Josh in every department across this great country.

Officer Weinstock is what every police officer around the world should aspire to be like. Fully aware of people's rights, open to friendly engagements, and willing to be helpful and understanding in all situations. 10/10 for that man.

The amount of people that feel entitled to an explanation is just mind blowing to me, especially for something that’s 100% legal
It was interesting to see that observation being made by the guy who was standing against the wall outside of that business located on that street corner. Jason’s replying that he probably wouldn’t have believed that behavior if he hadn’t seen it himself, is very telling. Luckily, we are starting to see more people being aware of our Constitutional Rights, and that some are willing to stick up for (in this instance) someone filming in public, to let the offended party know that what they are doing is perfectly legal. It’s good to see. Personally, I haven’t had any instances of witnessing it myself, but I would certainly do the same if I am in that type of situation.

Kudos to Weinstock. Friendly, educated and professional. What's shocking is how rare that type of presentation is from a cop. He exuded a community oriented style that many police departments could learn from. He even had a "We the People" tattoo.

I called the Greenwich Connecticut Police Department to complement officer Weinstock and Sargent O’Neill said he’s had an “overwhelming number of positive calls” from this video. I suppose that explains why several of the departments didn’t answer my calls when I called to complain after other audits. Great job guys, and that applies to the auditors and fellow follow-up callers.
That cop has a lot of auditing knowledge. I'm impressed and I'm glad he took the opportunity to learn more about his job without thinking he knew all of his job.
Finally an outstanding young officer that is a real addition to the police department! He could teach many officers around the country how to act and be professional! That young man is going places.

The ladies at the "nobelle" store were wonderful. They were nice, they laughed off their initial unease, got some positive exposure for the business, and in the end they found out exactly what they wanted to know.

I am surprised you found this type of response in CT. Over the years that I have been watching 1st amendment auditors it is clear that they are making a massive difference for the better. Good job to the cop that stopped in to chat. Finally a cop that obeys the law.

@Govenic What do you mean by 'the REAL CT?' Fairfield, New Haven and Litchfield counties ARE the REAL CT - only no one cares about far away Boston and Boston is not local to any part of CT. The REAL differences are, that Fairfield County and Greenwich are very, very WEALTHY, so cops know that the residents have strong connections and lawyers on call, so cops cannot try to get slick.
Now in New Haven, Bridgeport or Waterbury, they know that many of the residents are broke, ignorant and involved in crime, so they can abuse them without much worry about consequences. They know that lawyers for them are hard to find or will break their banks, so they keep the abuse up. In rich areas, they know not to try it because when people will tell them that they will be working at Walmart security - they can make it happen!

Officer Weinstock is an exceptional Officer with a great attitude. It's cool he watches auditor video's, and understands the constitution he swore an oath to. When he recognized you, and called you by your channels name, I knew the interaction would be a positive one. 👍

Cash - There was a time, 50 years ago, when we had what were called "Community Policemen" who understood their role was to protect the community. They had "beats" that they walked every day. The met the people who lived in their community and they kept the peace.
That's gone now. It's by design.
Now they see us all as sheep, cattle, slaves. They no longer report to their community.
They now report to their political masters, whom they serve.
I had the impression Officer Weinstock was telling the truth when he told you he hadn't been called to the Starbucks, and I can't think of any reason why he would want to lie about that. I liked the lady employee from The Granola Bar. She was smart.
Those ladies that came out and posed are a classic example of how to react to this. At worst, nobody sees the video. On the other hand, people will see you're a class act, and some of them are likely to check out the business and possibly spend money. A+ to them

@@Keepskatin That's not at all how that works. If that were the case people could complain about literally anything they didn't like and get you arrested. There's not law against "being a dick." We'd have to build way more jails otherwise.
