“somebody calls for help… you answer the call.” ngl i teared up when i saw that lmaoo
But wouldnt that mean that the true canon ending in the yellow timeline is the neutral one thats less fortunate but it is what it is
@@Naru_cissu I don't know how to word it, but I want to say that it could just mean that it is the first thing that Justice hears after being contained. Since the other souls do seem to give Flowey more "Save / Load" spots, maybe Justice did have the ability to do the same, but they weren't determined enough to overcome Flowey's ability to do the same.
Maybe it is similar to how in the original game, characters get deja vu from loading save files, but there is also a way to truly reset them as if nothing happened. Your character gets deja vu from the situation they are in, and decide "You know what, I'm not going to drink this highly corrosive ACID"
Also, I'm going to mention, I thought this comment was about Yellow's neutral route, to which I was confused because I am stuck on the boss fight right now. But then I thought about it and it made sense if you only see / remember what "sticks" in the timeline, meaning the protagonist left and never came back for pacifist.
@@Naru_cissu it could also mean that its just the next thing the soul itsef feels.
My favorite line
@@Naru_cissu not really, since you HAVE to go through neutral to get to pacifist which means it has to happen. and it doesn't have to be during the omega flowey fight either maybe it's referring to asriel asking the souls to help him break the barrier or something idk. either way, i thought that quote was a cute way to tie everything together
I like to think of this ending as, “passing on the torch” like this wasn’t clover’s story to finish
The ending even perfectly leads into the events of the original Undertale, with Clover answering the call for help made by Frisk, the torch was passed, and Frisk took it up!
Clover weakened the status quo just enough for Frisk to eventually topple it over
46:29 I just realized that this is Frisk calling for help and Clover answering their call in the Omega Flowey boss in Undertale
EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT
So, would that make the neutral ending the “canon” one?
@@DistaLatania the game makes you fight omega flowey even if you do a pacifist route from the get go, so it can still lead into that ending too

@@echerwreckerIf you stop to think about it, Clover wanted to do justice for the humans who were "missing" and he does this justice by killing the monsters when he discovers this, but he ends up becoming a psychopath, but he doesn't realize this, the only thing that moves him is the desire to do it. justice against the monsters what makes this clearer is in the battle against Axis that when Clover discovers that he was responsible for the death of one of the humans he has such a high sense of justice that it is strengthened just by the desire to want to do he pays for It. may be a judgment, but from Clover's point of view, what he is doing is right, for him it was justice for what they did to other humans

I find it mildly comical how Papyrus has higher stats than the final boss of this game.
it's likely unintentional, but in a headcanon way it kind of proves how odd sans and papyrus are from the rest of the monsters
there's a major theory that sans and papyrus were from a different dark world, so it's likely they were very developed and more powerful in a different sense
I believe in UT the Check stats are all made up and don't matter, they mostly exist to give a feeling of increasing stakes. Whereas in UTY they're more accurate - one more AT for the monster means one more point of damage when you get hit (or something like that), so the bosses can't have too high stats or it'd be way too hard.
@@Alignni think the stats in og undertale are supposed to be the CANON stats for each monster for example asriel has infinite atk and def and probably hp as well yet in the game files asriel has a regular atk and def stat because not only does it give a scale for his in game damage but also literally giving him infinite atk would make him oneshot the player which would just be unfair
@@AlignnUndertale Stats are canon and matter.

"I've dug a hole far too deep to climb out of."
No videogame has ever made me relate so hard...
Out of all the outcomes I expected from playing the pacifist route of this fangame, I never expected Clover to literally donate their soul to Asgore, as they learned that there was currently no way out of the underground. The glorious moment of shattering the barrier and freeing monsterkind remains an event to happen in the original Undertale, thanks to next human's *determination.*
It's an emotional ending, I must say, and a very darn good one at that.
(Btw, I ONLY did the pacifist route in Undertale Yellow. Unlike in the og Undertale, I don't have the heart of killing monsters just to see the other routes, buuuut I feel satisfied with how I beaten the game.)
Yeah, I think that, after realizing the pain monsters are going through (and that the lost humans are dead) Clover realized that the best thing to do was to willingly give their soul so monsters are closer to reaching the surface.
By the way if you don't want to do genocide you should at least do neutral since its surprisingly different from pacifist
you can say he did it for JUSTICE
Me returning and making monster spare me so i can oneshot backstab em:
I think thats a completely dumb ending. He just feeded his soul for nothing, how many years had passed before frisk fell down? Clover could just stay underground with his new friends, untill last human will come and then donate soul, like there is no point in doing that now, there were things to do, like going in the lab as Cerobra wanted, maybe find her daugther, literally any outcome in this lab they were supposed to go can be easily made into "welp now we see that there is no other way than just commit to die (or wait for another human, as i said)" kind of decision. Pacifist routes are about going in a secret dark labs aswell
Besides, I dont really thing that you can mentally recover from such trauma as Cerobra did, like all her world was shattered 3 consecutive times, and her new friend just goes deal with this shit yourself im out and gives soul, and she is fine. What kind of friendship is this?
@@daboss4318 Clover's mission when entering the underground was to find the missing humans but after learning what the monsters are going through (and that the humans are all dead) they decided the the best thing to do was to donate their soul so monsters are a step closer to freedom (since even with their soul monsters would need another soul) even if it means Clover has to die, they wanted justice and that was what they decided was the justest thing to do.
Also, who says the next humans would willingly give their souls? Clover gave it because they are selfless and knew what monsters went through (and also I think that Ceroba mentioned that she needed a human pure of heart or something around those lines), its also directly stated that one of the humans (most likely Integrity since its said that their soul was captured in Waterfall) directly attacked monsters, so some of them didn't have empathy for the monsters

almost shed a tear at the "For desmond" part
(for those who don't know, desmond is Etika. a youtuber who passed away in 2019 and said that undertale changed his life)
RIP Legend
I've wanted to give Ceroba a hug for the longest time during game play, especially in steamworks when you get to talk to her throughout, it was all optional dialogue, stuff that could have been missed, and each piece that delved deeper into her story made me tear up a bit, and I am certainly not one for crying. I am so happy that we do get to hug her, I let out an audible cheer of happiness when Clover hugged her because hell knows she needed it so badly.
I just wish I had the option to hug her for as long as I could, she deserved a nice long hug with everything she has been through and everything she has missed out from being widowed and losing her only child. She deserved it and needed it, and it fills my now shambled heart with happiness that we get to give her that hug in that moment.
I like how they said that Yellow is "Justice," and there's a lot of speculation about it. Coming down there with the intent of getting justice for the previous children, when in the end, what makes "Justice" turn into "Revenge?"
True Pacifist - “Justice”
Flawed Pacifist - “Judgement”
Neutral - “Consequence”
Genocide - “Vengeance”
Flowey spells out his views on the yellow soul in his boss fight, and they align with the game’s endings pretty well.
the two aren’t always at odds! but that doesn’t mean they’re one and the same
21:35 tbh this is the most well animated attack in all of undertale
I got this ending by managing to SPARE every monster I came across. I didn't have the heart to commit Genocide. On top of all that, I left my SAVE file as is when Flowey decides whether to RESET or WAIT. I do believe that this is how it should be.
I did neutral, then genocide and because I felt guilty I went on my way to spare everyone (even the frogs) and interacted with everything. Basically doing true pacifist and I'll leave it like this
I replayed undertale recently, and I actually got so emotional, and when flowery gave me “The Choice” I just kind of closed the game. I felt like it was just the thing to do. The way these games really manipulate your feelings is wild.
@deadchannel7895 I can just watch that on other playthroughs. Really, I can't bring myself to actually kill any of those monsters.
@z794hfbw8I Funny enough, Flowey criticizes you in Undertale for doing exactly just that, not having the guts to play the route yourself and instead discover it by watching someone else play.
I only did genocide to kill flowey, worth it

While I know why the ending is like this (undertales endings being ambiguous), I do wish there was a passive + passive ending Easter egg since in the base game it's hinted that the children are revived.
It would be really sweet to see the monsters talking about how the barrier is broken and later finding that their old friend is alive again on the ridge/other side
But makes me think, if the red soul doesn’t reset and end with the omega flowey fight, the barrier would still be closed which is sad

for a fan made game it sure delivers that punch to the feels yes i cryed well watching and also figures flowey is around because of course so then this takes place before undertale as two souls which we would know the next soul that fell and would cause flowey problems with there ability to alter the time line
I love how before phase 2 starts when ceroba attacks you over and over when she charges up she looks at you with tears in her eyes then looks away before firing
i really love how they acknowledged that clovers gear is in waterfall, where they put clovers stuff down
I'd like to imagine that in the True Pacifist, Ceroba and the others manage to save Kanako - hence her not being present in the true lab during the main game. Call it copium, but I wanna see a happy ending, damn it! ;-;
I think she was already fallen down, making it make sense that she was just some other amalgamate. And they're saved at the end too, so I suppose it could be worse. I saw another commenter suggest she's the one who tucks you into bed
i kind of feel like saving kanako would trivialize ceroba's arc because her main conflict is (at least partially) forgiving herself after what she did to kanako and moving on

22:54 the shots were to the beat : )
They willing offered their soul .. and we see why toriel left the castle ... why she left asgore cause she couldn't bear to see another lost I do hope we see the rest of the souls stories being told in upcoming games
Yeah, I couldn't beat this one. Got up to the last phase but I just didn't have the patience nor the will to keep up. So yeah, now I'm here, watching this. Maybe one day I'll finish the fight myself but, my god, there's just way too much going on too fast for me to figure out what to do and how to dodge. Not only that, but if you’re on a later phase, such as, y’know, the final one, and you just don’t have the time and you want to give your computer a break because you don’t think leaving the game on just to save your progress is a good idea, well then, guess you’ll have to start all over, all the way back to the first phase that is still pretty hard. So, maybe I won’t finish it, considering that I now know the ending. Idk how you people have the time or skill to beat games like this. Not even Undertale Pacifist was this hard, obviously. Idk, maybe I am being a bit too dramatic about this. I did enjoy the game nonetheless, despite the difficulty spike in the end. I know most games are like that, and I can see how a challenging game can be compelling, but JEEZ.
Also, another thing. I’m really glad that Dalv appeared in the game again in a more meaningful way and even where he can interact with the other characters. I was afraid that he would have almost no impact in the game overall because Dalv was like, the most major character we knew in the demo, which was like, released freakin 7 years ago. So yeah, really happy about that.
i believe in you! i was fuckin terrible at dodging bullets this entire game (i died so many times, even to the first boss), but through DETERMINATION (and mounds of patience) (and luck) i did eventually make it. My strategy was basically try to dodge everything as well as possible, spam Z whenever dodging wasn't so hard that i couldn't, try to stay at around 15-20 health, and use Remember when i didnt need to heal (also the dash ability is always useful). Don't get too stressed if you happen to mess up on an attempt, because you _will_ eventually get it + getting stressed distracts you
i think the secret bosses of Deltarune might have also helped prepare me for how tough this battle is lol
@@TheFlyfly Yea that's true. I'm pretty prone to stress. There was a time I made it to the 4 bells in the final phase but I didn't press X in time when one of the bells exploded and I was in low health and didn't have any items left other than the Golden Cactus, which I'm pretty glad I kept up until this battle. It was really useful. I wished I knew about the other secrets (I totally forgot how to get the Pear in the demo). Anyway, even after that event I still kept going but eventually, I gave up, but once I do another Pacifist run again, I may do better now that I know about the secrets. So yeah, thanks for the reply. I needed that.
Try to manage your items, and if you’re above 15 hp use hope to get hit an extra time

This is a bit of headcanon i imagine here, but:
I imagine that Kanako in the end, "does" become an "Amalgamate" but she actually turns out to be a Very stable one, in part due to her status as a Boss Monster and that she barely had been melted alongside other monsters, and that Alphys actually, either due to the previous amalgamtes and her guilt from it, was more careful with how much DETERMINATION she injected.
However Kanako is still a bit melty, she droops a little but its still very recognizable as Kanako and actually gets to be with Ceroba but she at first though overjoyed, she is still guilt ridden as she Ignored Chujin's warning of not testing her, feeling like a complete idiot fof doing it at all, but is slowly calmed by her friends with that "what happened, happened, but she still Loves her and she can understand"
Though i could add that the other Amalgamates were only Released by Alphys after the True lab in Undertale because she was so deatly Afraid of showing the families of the fallen monsters to see them in such state, either Kanako is the first one let go, either since she is more "presentable" to monsters, or because Ceroba and friends got her out without Alphys knowing...
Or she got out at the same time as the other amalgamates.
Also also, imagining with this Kanako amalgamate, is that she can melt into a formless goop, but has an easier time resembling her Original form.

Dang.. this game is actually just so sad.
We knew Clover was going to die, their yellow soul is in Undertale, like, regular Undertale. Since this game is meant to be a fan take on a prequel to Undertale, Clover was going to die, it was just a matter of how and time. Anyone who's played a good amount of Undertale knows that Clover was going to die.

cerobas boss fight is pissing me off so bad i can barely squeak past the second attack of her third phase
She's "sorry" just because Clover beat her, she's really an unforgivable creature
Geez ceroba u really gotta do that to them?! 3:10
Had literal goosebumps at the start of all the phases, especially the last one. I too was shaken by those memories, just as Ceroba was. Honestly worth 7 years of waiting.
Clover could’ve TOTALLY just lived out their days with the promise that they’d donate their soul once they grew old,
Instead of just dying right away to meet the same goal.
Bro got me cry in the end....
i LOVED this fight when i did it its the best
What will happen if you kill Ceroba?
It’s a completely different ending.
I’m pretty sure I saw someone uploaded a video on it
I havent seen the full game yet but the cowboy guy will be angry and clover and the bird girl will go to asgore have a scripted fight where he kills clover
Also the cowboy is star
the good ending
@@bowling5255 Are you sure?😅
