    FSU fans have a beef with the selection committee, and with Phillips for not standing up for them more when it happened. Many fans for other ACC schools, like myself, raised a stink on FSU’s behalf at the time. But what did we get in return for that support? Their fan base ridicules everybody but Clemson in the conference. Then they sue, thus harming all the other schools, all while loudly whining and calling the whole conference trash. Clemson fans are at least more classy about how they are orchestrating their exit.

    "Kinda stuck to the contract signed"... that's funny... so your case is for the conference to just die a slow, financial death? Just accept this HORRIBLE situation? There was NOTHING the ACC could have done to offset this HUGE financial disparity??? You guys have NO fight in you at all. Wake up... I understand contracts are legal documents, duh... but do you really think, "oh well, we signed a contract, we'll just let the other conferences make almost TWICE as much as us from here on out".?! Dude, glad you're not running any business I work for, I'd be jobless in no time. Doesn't mean it's easy, but EVERY team in the ACC is screwed with the current situation, not just FSU and Clemson... WAKE UP... contract or not, status quo is NOT acceptable, except to losers.

    You can be named to an award watch list all you want but it doesn't matter. It doesn't mean that anyone from the ACC is going to win a thing at all, but more importantly being on a pre-season watch list is meaningless.
    But since we are in "ACC player nominations for pre-season award" mode, let's give the ACC, the ENTIRE conference, one more award; The Dumbest College Sports Conference in sports history. Why? Because they are the only conference in college sports history to have two teams (maybe more), that are suing their conference to get out of a grant of rights that they all signed, not once, but TWICE!!😂😂😂😂😂😂

    Last time Arizona played Miami in the Fiesta bowl, they blew out the Canes 29-0. Arizona is one of only two PAC teams that haven't won a PAC championship in the last 25 years. When Tyrod Taylor ripped through the ACC in 2010, I remember there was no fear he'd do the same to a PAC champion. When FSU, with their Heisman QB, was scheduled to play the DUCKS in Pasadena, it was laughable to West Coast fans, when the Eastern media believed they might be successful. FSU would have trouble with Boise State.

    • @MichaelSmith-xb5cp
      @MichaelSmith-xb5cp 2 месяца назад

      @AndyAlcon Who, Arizona? They had 3 or 4 non losing seasons in the last decade and played for the PAC Championship in 2014, Miami has also only played the champ game once in the last decade (2017). FSU also played their last champ game in 2014 (prior to last season). The difference is that Arizona has been the worst team in the PAC, while I wouldn't call Miami or FSU bad ACC teams. When they are good, they are usually really good. It's too bad Arizona didn't start their QB Fifita for the entire season. Otherwise, they may have had a chance at last years PAC championship game, too.

    Some programs are not competitive , and are happy with the status quo. FSU is a football school. Football is the big money. The rest is lipstick. The Seminoles should indeed be payed a fair market shair for the viewers and fan base. The ACC is beating them up too bad financially.

    FSU is leaving this crummy mediocre conference. The ACC did not stand up for FSU during this years playoff. The ACC is happy to take whatever espn gives in regards to money. FSU will get the accreditation they need for BIG 10 acceptance. BIG will have a footprint in Florida. FSU is a money maker and they put good teams on the playing field. They have solid athletes and terrific coaches. They have an aggressive Athletic Director who is positioning the University to be championship quality in each of their sports. FSU is world class and deserves nothing less than the best for their participation in college sports. Much of the naysayers espousals is nothing more than jealousy. GO NOLES❤

      @ron6083 2 месяца назад +1

      No they won't. Being AAU accredited is not something you can buy, YOU HAVE TO BE GIVEN AN INVITATION!
      And let's say FSU is given an accreditation tomorrow, you think the B1G is going to invite a team that 1- are whinny and entitled, and 2- are problematic and most importantly 3- make no sense to add, but even if they did make sense to bring in, do you think the 18 other schools in the conference would vote to re-open their grant of rights and take less to invite a problematic team that makes ZERO sense to add? No, my friend, if the SEC doesn't accept them, even if they could get out of their grant of rights, then the might want to try the Big 12, or the AAC, but believe me they are NOT getting an invitation to the B1G. 😂😂😂😂

    • @RichardLief
      @RichardLief 2 месяца назад +1

      @@ron6083 yep. I think the 18 other teams will want FSU in their conference. Great coaches and athletes make great competition and great viewing. Ron you are probably a sec fan. FSU will come out a winner after this mess is cleared up. They already make more money than most sec teams. They already make more money than most BIG teams. The acc money is about mediocrity. FSU and Clemson are being left behind unfairly by acc disparity payout. Both schools require more money just to keep up with the Joneses. They will get the research accreditation they need in a few years. They will probably win another conference title and they will make the playoffs in football under Norvell's watch. They are the best team in Florida and Florida has a lot of talent especially in the running, receiving and db positions. Big will be able to recruit more successfully if FSU is in their conference and their games will be shown in Florida... Big wants FSU and FSU wants Big. It's gonna be a successful relationship for both.

    • @ron6083
      @ron6083 2 месяца назад +1

      @user-jg1vv3jw7d see that's the problem with FSU and their fans, you guys feel like you're entitled to everything. You didn't get the hint when you guys were left out of the playoffs, and it was the right choice. Look at the teams that were in the playoffs last year. Which one of those schools were FSU better than. The ACC has been a bad football conference for a long time, it's just that FSU was the best of a bad bunch. FSU wasn't going to beat any of the team's in the playoffs and the committee saw that. Hell, Stevie Wonder could see that.
      FSU is crying about grant of rights that they signed not just once, but twice and as all entitled people do, they think that that they can bully their way out of their situation and force another conference to take them
      Nobody needs FSU and several rounds of realignment has shown that. FSU is not going to the B1G or the SEC because neither conference is opening up their grant of rights for a school that doesn't make sense for either conference. Plus the way FSU is behaving, who wants that drama in their conference.
      FSU is trying to get out of a situation with no place to go.

    • @RichardLief

      @@ron6083 which team do you follow and root for? Just wondering. Every single free thinker in the football world knew FSU earned the right to play in the playoff based on wins and losses. The committee placed 2 1 loss teams ahead of an undefeated team. Bad choice affirmed by people who were allowed too express how they really felt. Oh well- let's see how this season plays out.

    Nah. Jim Phillips strongly worded letter was sufficient. He needed to save up his energy for the lawsuits.
    The coddling of FSU. Florida State University was already sabatoging the ACC all year. FSU disrespected the other ACC schools and the conference forever. They set the tone against the ACC.
    Did the Players deserve it? Maybe not, but FSU earned that Karma.
    The committee was smart. FSU was expendable now that they were already attacking the ACC while claiming to be leaving by summer 2023...
    Alabama carried the SEC Brand proudly therefore earned advocacy. FSU has NEVER represented for ACC. How could FSU win for a league they don't want to be in? Laughing out loud at those FSU ACC championship rings. Hilarious.

      So tell me how FSU was sabotaging the ACC. Be specific. What exactly has FSU done and how was it sabotage? Your memory is poor. FSU has represented extremely well for the ACC until they found out that the ACC - without a vote by the members - made at least 2 critical changes to the ESPN contract that hurts most of the ACC schools. They gave ESPN the option to decide whether to extend the contract or not with no ACC input. Then they told the member (lied) that the contract was extended 9 years to 2035. It wasn’t. The ACC has lied to its members and has been a wus for ESPN.
