I thought that I would be able to watch this, as a trans woman who finally cracked in her fifties, and be okay. That turned out to be true, even though there were tears along the way. I completely lost it when Will said "I didn't know about her story, about the pain." After the tears stopped, I realized that I now have a way to very quickly explain what coming out and starting my transition have done for me. Before coming out, my life in one word was "Pain". Now, I can use the word "Joy" to describe my life. Thank you, Harper and Will for this.

I never comment, but Harper & Will deserve a positive comment here for their work on this film and their beautiful friendship. What a wonderful thing that Harper finally feels comfortable enough to be herself, and how wonderful to have a caring friend to be along for the ride. Thank you for making this movie!

If you watch the documentary, about mid-way through the film, they feature the sort of comments I was referring to. This might give a little insight into the impact of what you are defending/dismissing. Then regardless of your opinion (right or wrong), you can at least claim to be informed. It may have been unintentional, but the context of your comment illustrates little familiarity with the subject. It is a well-known fact this topic comes with a wealth of negative/mean comments (feel free to brows comment sections of similar videos).🌿
