Russian revolution was a socialist revolution without bourgeois democratic revolution and that what Trotsky was saying that one of the main points in permanent revolution theory that mean lenin agreed with Trotsky in this point
How RELEVANT is Trotskyism or Bolshevism is TODAY. Especially here in the USA? Conditions here are much different than in Czarist Russia. If I want to help form a democratic, socialist society I don't see how Trotskyism, Leninism can help us. And given how things turned out in Russia, why would I want to follow a Bolshevik path?
Here's what I wrote to a similar presentation: I'm an American. You talk with your British way of speaking as if you know anything about the United States. What is this drive you have for an uprising in the so-called proletariat or working class? Capitalism is doing reasonably well here in the United States -- before your visit, during it, and after. Socialism, or building communism as it's known, is not part of the U.S. economy. The Federal Reserve is. The U.S. military is. Socialist Bernie Sander was put out of business by crooked Hillary Clinton. Crooked Hillary Clinton was put out of business by our current President Donald J. Trump who knows something about capitalism, making money, and protecting the United States from porous borders in ways you have not understood in Europe. Followers of Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin, add Mao and the rest, are headed down the wrong rabbit hole. You are defeating yourselves with your own intellectual prowess of half truths and wishful thinking. Get back on your armored train to nowhere, Where is Russian communism today? By the way, quit quoting Obama for any point you need make. He was a nothing and goes into history as a man without a proper birth certificate dabbling around in a racist Christian church when he was all along a Muslin intent on selling out America to Islam and homosexuality -- odd combination, or not?
Socialism is better at managing resources for the benefit of its people. Look at how Cuba manages healthcare and doctors and tropical disaster preparation and relief for its people in comparison to other countries in the region.
Migrants are caused by the imperialist nature of capitalism exploiting resources through war, unfair trade policies, and banana republicing. Any person would want to escape that and try becoming a begger in a society benefitting from that exploitation. We cut the exploitation and allow them to use their resources for their self development, then there will be far less migrants, but that means threatening the profits of someone rich and powerful
Trotsky is my main political influence thanks for the vid very informative :)
Where has Trotskyism ever lead to a revolution, apart from never Marxism Leninism is the most efficient and effective way to wage revolution
Russian revolution was a socialist revolution without bourgeois democratic revolution and that what Trotsky was saying that one of the main points in permanent revolution theory that mean lenin agreed with Trotsky in this point
And I believe that all leftists should unite especially the Marxists to overthrow capitalism
The October Insurrection is inseparable from Leon Trotsky. Marxism/Leninism EQUALS Trotsky. What are you talking about!
You don't understand what the United Front tactic is. Yes you do criticise (42.00) no you don't get in bed with the devil.
A very engaging talk. Thanks for sharing
Trotskyism today: Rallying around petit bourgeois social democrats and endorsing imperialism
Obvious Stalinist where did he endorse imperialism?
Yes globalism=imperialism and socialism In one country isn’t imperialism in the worst form

jazz4asahel it's clear you barely know the meanings of words.
The Soviet union was state capitalism. You obviously have no idea what capitalism is. Marxism is the study of capitalism.
It is the new asbestos economy that will make the world great again. Long live Putin! Long live Trump! Down with Covfefe intellectuals!
