Today I am building a Short Wheel Base axial SCX10iii Jeep JL 2 door. I will explain how you as well can take an entry level Axial BaseCamp builders kit and shorten the wheelbase to around 10.5 inch using only Axial parts. By doing this it will allow you to shorten the JLU 4 door body to a two door. This video is the first in a 3-part video series in which I will build this truck ready for AxialFest Badlands 2024. I can't believe I've never seen your channel after doing RC for 2 years I'm subbed,
Years ago I tried to build an 11” wheelbase SCX10.1 for a Barbie Jeep body. The driveshaft angles are what killed it. That body is now sitting on an Enduro Ecto 12.
This one seems promising so far!

Man that castlenlink app is an absolute nightmare! Took me hours to get an esc connected last time. Although it was a slate system, it had a copperhead ESC. But man it almost won.
Highly tuneable though!
I think you should 3d print a hard body, and give us the tips and tricks you learned 3d printing a hard body.
There are so many other channels 3d Printing hardbodies, Hemistorm's lexan bodies and paintjob are his signature!

Basecamp is one of my favorite scale chassis.
I knew I shoulda bought one when they were on sale! Kicking myself in the rear for that one!
@@user-ho5vm9rv1e I got one on sale with no expectations. And realized it is really well dialed in out of the box. And you can fit any motor you want into it. Very pleased overall. Shocks that don't leak is a nice touch.
I grabbed one but didn't really have a plan for it. I just couldn't pass up a good deal. I'd somewhat planned to do a Exocaged Racecamp type build with it or try to make some type monster truck. Now I've got a 3rd option.
@boduke9428 the JConcepts lakewood corvair body fits perfect on the 12.3" with zero cutting. If you need body ideas. And the layout can be changed easily. I moved the servo up front and the receiver and stuff. Try a Pro next.
