Petition to bring back "Hi, mystery recap here, today I am goin g to explain a [country] [genre] movie from [year], spoilers ahead, watch out and take care" at the beginning of every video, it feels incomplete not hearing it.
I think one scene in this movie that is extremely underrated is the one, where they fight the masked axemen, but all stop the fight for a few minutes because of new years. It's such a disturbing yet fascinating scene, that the last groups of humanity slaughter themselves, but stop and celebrate with each other, that they've made another year. It reminded me of the WW1 Christmas truce.
I watched this movie recently, it was pretty entertaining and the message was also meaningful; even at the end of the world, humanity still holds on to the idea of class separation
"they notice a *polar bear* outside, meaning that life has come back and they have a chance to survive" well, given how few animals there are outside and how that one animal was a POLAR BEAR, no. No they won't survive.
@infinite quagmire Classic humanity, never satisfied with whatever they have atm and does their best to screw everything up hoping that it’ll turn out better. It’s alr happening right now.
@infinite quagmire I mean limited resources, with a bunch of people that don't do anything, have no exceptional skills. I'd have executed them tbh. The survival of a species in such a ridiculous situation comes before the weak and useless. Granted I'd also have thinned out lots of the useless upper class.
I mean for polar bears to still be around after so many years actually means there is most likely a larger population of prey animals yet to be seen. So once the ice age recedes they could very well survive. I hope not since the worlds better without them but it's a likely chance.
This shows how unaware people are of what is provided to them, because whoever gets food won't question its source. So as long as they are being provided with something, anything, to keep them satisfied, that's all care about.
when you're hungry and fighting for survival anything tastes better than nothing you really won't care. That goes for the people in the back of the train who like in real life resorted to cannibalism in extreme circumstances. Originally it was going to be revealed that the protein bars were ground up and processed shit from the people in the upper sections but changed it at the last minute. So it's better than before.

Good recap of a really interesting Bong Joon Ho movie with a stellar international cast that included Captain America, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton and Song Kang Ho. Perhaps you can then recap another Bong Joon Ho sci fi movie which I also really enjoyed "The Host".
"They notice a polar bear nearby, meaning that life on earth has returned, and they have a chance to survive. But lets be honest, they will be dead for sure" As long as there is plot armour, they will be alive
@@SnakeRoadComicsOfficial3677 lets say they survive with a plot armor. Next, the kid and the teenaged girl is supposed to repopulate the world? .........kinda weird
It was a retarded ending as it made the entire movie incredibly retarded. It did not mean life on Earth had been wiped out and now miraculously returned, it simply meant polar bears and other arctic animals must have been surviving all this time, enough of them anyways for there to be a stable food chain for the polar bears to survive on. This means the ice age would have been a regular ice age instead of a "Snowball Earth" situation, and people have survived ice ages before even with stone age level technology. Therefore there was never any need for the Snowpiercer train and human survivors could have just as well been living on the coasts of the equator, eating sea food instead of insect protein bars. If the climate disaster would have been as severe as the movie tries to claim, there would have never been any sort of animal out there at the ending of the movie, even if the climate was getting warmer again. They would have found microbial life at most, of the type capable of surviving deep freezing periods and then the thawing out of that. The amount of oxygen in the air would have also collapsed as it is made by plant life on land & in the ocean, so there must've been open oceans and forests somewhere on the planet as well in significant size.
My favorite part of this movie is that somehow in 18 years of snow and ice, there's never been something as simple as an avalanche that could derail the train until they blew open the door. The way that avalanche destroyed so many cars it stands to reason that even a small one would at least blow over a few cars which would have a ripple effect.
If a healthy polar bear is alive after 17 years, probably some sort of life also still alive in the planet, that means that other humans may survived the ice age too. Besides, someone may have survived inside the express too, a lucky one or two.
If I'm not mistaken the protein bars on the original story was not made from roaches but from actual 💩. The people in the back were literally eating the waste from the upper classes, or the protein present in it.
I mean... this might be a bit better than the actual script cause you have to know that the train was near the edges and the moment it got derailed, it is guaranteed to not survive cause the last thing is being thrown all over the place and with their bones horribly broken by now
It's like a nightmare version of The Polar Express. I expect no cannibalism in this film and assume that everyone didn't die, but few and wondered how long the train is.
If the cockroaches are sterilized then I’ll eat the bar. The cockroaches have lots of protein in them and need less power to produce, we could eat grasshoppers and other insects in the future to use less energy.
I've watched a bit of the other version of Snowpiercer, And Im surprised at how different it is. This movie version is definitely a quicker way to end things.
For some reason everytime I saw snippets of this movie on SYFY I always imagined that everytime the guards took a freeloader they would have experiments performed on them or worse turned into food resources
I believe the snow piercer series is better than the movie because in the movie the whole plot was to get to the engine of the Train. The people always thought the engine was like paradise but after all the killing and fighting to get to the engine there’s just a guy making a burger there. :/ not the best plot if you ask me
There's a movie theory about Willy Wonka made the train and the kid with a pop cap gun in the movie is the enforcer dude that has a shootout with Curtis. Also the reason the train needs the small children is because the Oompa Loompas all died out. Makes alot of sense when you think about it. Charlie is the train conductor dude.
the kid is not repairing the broken parts but is literally a mechanical part. the children (from the lower class) are made to be pieces of the Engine, like cogwheels.

The biggest issue I have with this movie is that you have to pass thru every section to get to the front, and you never see a sleeping section nor a cooking section or any of what would be seriously major sections you need. It takes me out of the film to see so many sections that don’t make sense
The kids are in the third volume of the graphic novel series that the movie and TV series are based off of. Terminus. Turns out that there's 10 trains in the comics: the original Snowpiercer from the comics that came out in the 1980s, Icebreaker which is the main train of the comics series, and 8 others. 7 of the 10 made it to Terminus, 3 didn't: the original Snowpiercer, the movie train and a third unidentified train. Yona revealed that the polar bear nearly killed her and Tim, leaving him with scars, but they managed to beat it and survive, eventually finding their way to Terminus. Icebreaker reached Terminus a year after the events of the movie.

This is only for poi.so.ning humans! Please Jesus Christ help us all.
Outside of cockroaches, bugs are actually perfectly valid and good source of nutrients.
Asians have been eating them for quite some time now.

WEF Davos 2023, they are talking about " proteins different than cow" . Protein bars are the plan for us?
Not if we organise & start our own "population reduction". 🤔😎
12:10 no it means they are going back inside the train before they become lunch. Polar bears are literally the one bear you DO NOT fuck with at all!
7:27 I find it kinda cute when he places the shoe on her head for some reason💀
I remember watching this movie as a kid, as a kid it grosses me alot because of cockroach stuff but until now I still does.
Movie fact : originally, the protein bar is supposed to be made from the wastes of the 1st class humans (their sh** etc)
That remains me of another movie where the royals are feeding the poor the waste of rich people mixed with water and they call the substance Paste
what you think those cockroaches eat then?
@Username ew
(Just what I think honestly)
I believe the snow piercer series is better than the movie because in the movie the whole plot was to get to the engine of the Train. The people always thought the engine was like paradise but after all the killing and fighting to get to the engine there’s just a guy making a burger there. :/ not the best plot if you ask me
“Let’s be honest, they’re dead for sure” 🤣🤣🤣

Didn't know you were that kind of person to make a joke tho 😂
There's a movie theory about Willy Wonka made the train and the kid with a pop cap gun in the movie is the enforcer dude that has a shootout with Curtis. Also the reason the train needs the small children is because the Oompa Loompas all died out. Makes alot of sense when you think about it. Charlie is the train conductor dude.
This guy is legend ilove is videos
This IS kind of what the Davos group is currently trying to pull off
Not trying, they are. They got school kids on the list to eat bugs next year
Right !
@@Rootsradical808 😭
the kid is not repairing the broken parts but is literally a mechanical part. the children (from the lower class) are made to be pieces of the Engine, like cogwheels.
I think so too.
this is one of my favorite movies

@James Verity Is there really still a person who does not know about the existence of Donna 's coaching program? Well if you don't you're missing out.
This is clearly a sequel to willy wonka
The biggest issue I have with this movie is that you have to pass thru every section to get to the front, and you never see a sleeping section nor a cooking section or any of what would be seriously major sections you need. It takes me out of the film to see so many sections that don’t make sense
The ending tho🤣🤣…Imagine if the two survivors were eaten by the polar bear😩😩🤣
Icebreaker reached Terminus a year after the events of the movie.
i like that they never heard of building underground 😂
You will eat the bugs, live in the back of the train, own nothing and be happy...

When I saw "People are forced to eat cockroaches" I was like: this is gonna be funny
Btw, cockroaches are my worst fear. I could never eat them nonetheless get near them
I grew up in a few apartments with terrible roach problems. I never got used to it. My fear grew worse the more I had to live with them, in my clothes when I got dressed in the morning, finding them on my bed sometimes, being afraid to shut the lights off when it was time to sleep (because they would come out of the walls and cracks). In fact, now, even as a man in my late 40s, I usually sleep with the lights on.
@@thehighllama8101 omg same
You would eat them if hungry enough. In original book, it wasn't cockroaches. It was a proccessed waste from upper class. Basicaly they were eating protein bars made from higher class peoples shit.
