Lion Pride on a Giraffe Carcass

A throwback moment when I was lucky enough to spend some time with the Styx Pride at Lion Sands Sabi Sand, South Africa. One of the most incredible places to visit when going on a safari.
We manage to locate a pride of Lions that the day before hunted a Giraffe successfully, now this will last even a bog pride like this for at least 3-4 days. On any given Safari, one you head out into the field on Game drive you always wish to come across incredible moments like this and its always fascinating for me to watch how pride members that are deemed to be socially very close turn to aggression when it comes to food.
Its truly survival of the fittest out in Africa and what an incredible moment it was witnessing this.
