These African wild dog (Lycaon pictus) also called the African painted dog and the African hunting dog, are one of the most terrifying yet successful predators ever! They instinctually work as a pack, their stamina is incredible, their strategy and ability to communicate to each other in a chase is phenomenal; they trade off leaders to conserve energy so some hang back and they take turns moving into the lead position, so with that strategy and stamina, they nearly always tire out their prey and catch it, especially out on flat country. As a pack, they can wear out and take down a huge antelope or wildebeest and the prey doesn't have a chance with these dogs, if they can reach the prey at all! It is horrifying to watch them in action and take down an animal, I've seen it and I don't enjoy seeing a predator kill its prey but it's how nature works. A lion or tiger will go for the throat and long fangs either sever the spinal cord or cut off air and the prey is strangulated. With wolves and wild dogs, they bring the prey down, bite it and tear at it until it bleeds out and dies within a minute or two. Nature seems very cruel at times, but the prey, when caught, usually goes into shock and probably isn't really aware or feel all the trauma of the attack and killing.

Very nice
blah blah blah
Nature SUCKS !!!
Poor preys.
Then, why didn't one of them just fall down knocking down one of the antelope for the pack to prey on it? The fall isn't that steep.
@@Wordalwayswild dogs are not good at judging height and depth
I have studied them to. Amazing animals.
Nerve-wracking on the part of the Klipspringers. They surely kept their cool.
Wow...what an incredible video. The survival instinct made the antelopes to hold their ground. Wow.
klipspringers not antelopes
It’s rare to see wild dogs in any circumstances, so this is an incredibly unique situation we are extremely lucky.
I saw the thin line between death and life, any wrong decision or wrong move, you’d died. I’m glad they survived. I love them small little family ❤️
I wonder if these Klipspringers have eluded wild dogs by climbing the rocks before this. They seem familiar with doing it. Very awesome clip!
Thousands and thousands and thousands of years
the best video on you tube
@@cjcj3222 They were created like that, with special feet.
Yoda from Star Wars: “Patience is a virtue.”
Clever antelope with patience, without any panic they stayed unmoved which helped them to survive from the wild dogs.
They're probably there still!

Wow the little animals are so serene even when danger is so close. They know they are safe on the rock.
King David said HE is the ROCK of my salvation! Psalm 18 Blessed be the ROCK!
Freaking amazing capture
Quel sang froid pour rester immobile sans bouger en étant convaincu que les chiens sauvages ne vont jamais pouvoir venir. Très belle vidéo, merci pour le partage. Bonne continuation !
incredible footage
Thank you for sharing the footage - I was holding my breath from the beginning through the end. One wrong move due to panic, the klipspringers would be dead!
For a hand-held camera, that is extremely adorable footage, considering the fact that the serene but deadly environment could not allow for a tripod stand (these beasts were not posing for a picture - no pun intended). You were as still as the klipspringers. Keep up the good work.
Agree, it was top quality filming for sure.
The deer is lucky they don’t have a lion or leopard because they wouldn’t hesitate to jump.
Klipspringers are so beautiful! They are such pretty and dainty little things! I really love them! I wish there were some around me!
one of the amazing videos in my life. I took a great lesson from it.
Wonderful capture ,the distance between life and death was just some inch for hear
Klipspringers are like mountain goes and Ibex on cliffs lol.

Great clips and smart animals I ever seen before !
As long as we do not get nervous or panic things stay in our favor. Everyone is bestowed with a skill and it's up to him where and how to utilize it.
Love this ❤️ lesson to us, remain calm in every tough situation
Wow, what an incredible video! 🌟 Thank you so much for putting in the time and effort to create such valuable content.
Wild dogs: These are klipspringers let's get them to feed ourselves and family
Klipspringers: We will only hold our position on the Clif and be calm.
Wild dogs and 3 hrs : hmm let's go these klipspringers are so firm
Lesson: Always hold on to what is right and be firm and this will push all enemies away.
Вот это выдержка!) Сразу вспомнилась поговорка: близок локоток, да не укусишь))
