The refresh brings on a host of new updates including revised styling cues, a refreshed interior design, as well as more technological features. The Sonata was never really stylish than the rest of the competition until Hyundai rolled out this generation in mid 2010 as a 2011 model. Power comes from a 2.4 L 4-Cylinder or you can opt for a 2.0 L Turbo 4-Cylinder that is basically comparable to a V6 all made into a 6-Speed Automatic. On the interior you will find it to be very user friendly and stylish too with many standard and optional features, but headroom in the rear can be tight for some occupants. The styling is still one of the best in the segment with a sea of boring looking midsize sedans like the Camry and Accord. Competitors range from the Accord, Camry, Malibu, Fusion and many more we advise you take a look at one of these many midsize sedans if you are shopping in this class. So is it still competitive? Yes it is, however saying that it's best in class is going a little to far as the Sonata has many great competitors that are just as good and if not better than the Sonata, but with this said it still make a solid middle down the road choice.

Hyundai has definitely come a long way, but when it came time for my wife and I to get our first brand new car, we went with the Accord which is still a superior vehicle. Hyundais are nice, but you can always count on your Honda.
sonata is just too sexy to pass up, inside and out. all about the sexy curves
Saw this car at the dealer and it is amazing.Feels really premium and lots of gadgets to wow the eye.One big down side is the front passenger seat clearance very bad I'm a tall guy and I found it very difficult to go into.

The E-brake location is horrible. RIGHT in front of the dead pedal. If you want to use the dead pedal, the E-brake digs right into your shin, and yes, this is when the e-brake is released!

Camerons Car Reviews Nice review. To me this is still one of the best looking cars on the market. I like how they changed the rear end too. Smh that it took Hyundia and Kia to make cars look good again. B4 the Sonata & Optima redesigns most car makers were just phoning it in... Hondas and Toyotas were just getting uglier and uglier... I plan on getting this car or the Optima by the end of the year. best bang for ur buck imo. And best warranty.

No, the GLS is the base model. For 2015, Hyundai got rid of the GLS and made the SE trim the base trim.

Not all models have LED taillights if you seen in the video I said that LED taillights are only an option for the Limited trim, sorry but it is a 2014 plus you can tell by the refreshed interior layout.

It's odd but nearly every country pronounces it differently. In the US we say HUN-day, for the most part anyway. I've heard midwest farmers say Honday.
But at least they're talking about them with respect. Just 25 yrs ago they would have said...what the hell is a Hi-UN-die? lol

You can make any car look good and not boring you just have to do some stuff to it the Camry SE V6 with some nice rims HIDS and LED Accenting lights and LED Tailights certainly isn't boring. It's nicer than half the cars on the road.

Total trash. Had to replace the motor at 140k. I think over 20 recalls. And BTW those rims are trash. It's like putting a silk hat on a pig
And about that shifter... All it takes is a little bump and it's in manual if you want it to be or not. So your in 1st gear and have no idea until you hear the motor.. Looks great but total garbage
I have a 2012 model and after 3 year of regular driving, I would not recomend this car to cayont with a sane brain. The GDI engine is a pig on gas. I couldn't get it over 9 l per 100 km er 100 l . I will never buy a Hyundia again. Get a V6 car minumum. I Winterpeg.. go for the Surbaru Imperza .. believe me over the long run... its worth it... Trust me follks ... don't buy this car
